When you hear the siren, air horn and bell sound as they go rushing past...stop a moment....and say a prayer... for each ride they take may be their last....
From one firefighter to another thank you. So often people forget that what we do is dangerous, but we do it because we love it and we devote our lives to it. I am no hero, but I have had the pleasure and honor of meeting a few before they responded to their final alarms. Lest we forget, remember the fallen and injured, because they are the true heroes. God bless and thank you again for a touching video.
Country style lawn care if you need me ur welcome to text me because I'm fixing to become a fire fighter my self I've been around lights and sirens my o life when I was little

I'm a vol firefighter i love helping people in my community and being there for them on there worst days I wouldn't give it up for anything in the world thank you for this amazing tribute showing us what we go through on a daily basis this made me realize how much i love my profession and wouldn't trade it for anything in the world
I’m proud to be LI NY firefighter happy to serve and protect and come home to my family and friends god bless who ever made this video and thank you all for your support
Thank you for this video it's nice to see a tribute to current firefighters and those fallen. You see so much as a firefighter. Thank you this tribute helps I am currently q volunteer
Amazing and thank you for this. So often I see tributes to other occupations and yet we forget who responds first and who runs in when we run out. Yes I'm obviously close to a FF/PM/EMT and I'm not allowed to say the word hero & if I do he'll just stare and then comes "I'm no hero, it's what I do, it's in my blood". So, while I'm on this page I'd like to thank you all even though you hate that you are amazing people with such a love for anything living you'd give up your life to save theirs. Stay safe out there, people want you home!
***** I can tell you that once or twice iv been to a fire that is on the same area and iv pulled people out without protective gear and I will stick up for people are you a firefighter? are you ? you seem to be a complete ass. and I truly am sorry that you have that huge pickle jar in your ass. you have no idea what its like going in the room being on fire not seeing a thing and heat. protective gear having a little to no protection.... ass. it annoys me so much to hear people like you that do nothing to help your community to complain about stuff you know nothing about. and what do you do? hmm ? because I know that you must hate your life to bring down others now piss off and eat it
your job loses more lives than fire fighters? only because of not abiding by H&S rules, so it is self inflicted deaths and injuries though it must be said few and far between. you should make a roofer tribute video to give us all a laugh.
I wish my job was as secured as a roofer and I could run all over the roof. your pathetic, I wish you could go into a fire with all the gear on it is a hindrance... and its not as easy to pull a 300 pound person out from 2nd story its also not so easy to hold a hose that is flowing 125psi
To those nine dip shits, y'all don't know what firefighters face on a daily basis, I do to a certain extent understand, as a former firefighter trainee and the baby brother of a volunteer and career firefighter. To the maker of this tribute, keep up the good work, and watch your 6. God bless you and your family both blood, and firefighter.

Firefighting has long been associated with poor cardiovascular outcomes. In the United States, the most common cause of on-duty fatalities for firefighters is sudden cardiac death. In addition to personal factors that may predispose an individual to coronary artery disease or other cardiovascular diseases, occupational exposures can significantly increase a firefighter's risk. For instance, carbon monoxide, present in nearly all fire environments, and hydrogen cyanide, formed during the combustion of paper, cotton, plastics, and other substances containing carbon and nitrogen, interfere with the transport of oxygen in the body. Hypoxia can then lead to heart injury. In addition, chronic exposure to particulate matter in smoke is associated with atherosclerosis. Noise exposures may contribute to hypertension and possibly ischemic heart disease. Other factors associated with firefighting, such as stress, heat stress, and heavy physical exertion, also increase the risk of cardiovascular events.[7]
Some of us don't mind that, personally I just want to try my best to make sure that if someones belongings is being burnt down, or someone is trapped in a fire, that they get the best chance they can to survive, I've been doing it since I was 16 and started as a Junior Volunteer, I haven't looked back or regretted it ever, it was the best decision I made.
feel free to join us on the fire scene and risk your life with us. yes we suffer from heart problems, cancer, and heart attacks. but thats not because we are out of shape or not trained properly. its because we push ourselves further and further past the limits of the body and we inherent these health risks. you know what though, if i die from one of them, at least i can die with a smile knowing my death was earned with honor and happiness for those we saved.
Thank you. I try so hard to not even read negative comments but I still end up seeing a few. I'm not a firefighter but care a lot for one & a police officer as well. Amazing men who get on me for even trying to call them hero's. No matter what the topic there will always be a few idiots that jump at the chance to talk smack. Keep up the hard work all of you out there on the front lines keeping us safe. Stay safe I'm sure most of you have someone at home eagerly awaiting your return after each shift, hugs!
