These sport bikes are a pain in the wazoo to do maintenance on, compared to my old Sporty. Sportster-5 min spark plug/air filter change. Sport bikes-1 hr+chain lube+air filter
What i did for the front cylinder and it also works great without removing all the radiator parts is just tilt the radiator forward and keep it with a bit of wood or something to keep it leaned forward. You should then have enough access to remove the spark plug. ;)
Michael Meaney Because I only had T sockets at the time. there are a lot of other correct and proper tools that I could have used, but didn't have access to.
There are NO torx bolts on a SV650 .and there should be a spacer on all rad bolts. Also every bolt is metric, no AF fixings anywhere. These bikes are Japanese not American.

Amendment... The only torx are on the discs ,front and rear.!!!
I'm curious why you used a t40 torx bit instead of the proper 5 mm hex bit to remove the seat bolts?

Most name brand plugs will come pre gapped. but you can check the manual for the gap and the plug box will have it listed on the side.

Have you ever owned a used bike? My sv650 has all kinds of oddball bolts.
American bikes don't use torx, EU does.
