Wow what a difference . My Son bought a split level a few months ago its alittle smaller square feet wise . I am gonna share this with him , maybe he can take some idea's from it . I like the idea of swapping some rooms and opening up the walls.
I love this reimagined space. These split levels were all the rage 20 -30 years ago. I must confess, I wanted one too. And honestly, if I was not already in my dream home, I would find me a slpilt level to renovate, so I could experience living in a d split level Dre home too.. Great job as usual Egypt and Mik, and so happy for this lovely homeowner and super mom and grandmother, Gail McBride in Gwinnett.
Just when I thought y'all had done the most of the best with the channel, y'all have UP THE GAME and looking stylish at it. Y'all better Go'head on with the #FABULOUS'NESS of it all. #IT'SABANGER. 😊
She had great ideas for the reno, but her home was so spotless and orderly, I cringed at the thought of smashing anything. Then the gorgeously updated and more open reveal made it all worthwhile.
The desin is amazing! Very classy! But why does anyone want a bigger kitchen after the children left the home?! She is entertaining and cooking all the time... but has a table with four chairs only? Dont't get me wrong but the kitchen is huge... I think in the US now a days the kitchen is a status symbol, like cars were some time a go.
I hate mirrors. I have no idea why anyone would incorporate them into design. Mirrors belong in a bathroom. Maybe an entrance hallway. NO WHERE ELSE. Having ranted, lol. The house looks absolutely beautiful ❤
The new improvements look great but her grandchildren visiting was mentioned several times, yet it doesn't look that child friendly. The outside + inside stairs are straight AND steep. If someone fell down either one, they could be seriously hurt - why not incorporate landings or similar so the stairs are not a dead drop? I could also see someone falling over that low wall by the top of the stairs + those wine coolers. And don't get me started on 'corner edges' on islands, tables, fire surrounds, tallboys/chest of drawers, etc. - all designers round those edges PLEASE!
Everything Mike and Egypt do is just awesome. Such a beautiful couple , love them.❤
Egypt is too beautiful for words.
For only 60k they worked a miracle.

They did a great job. And I love that someone was not looking for a new place but investing in their own house to update it!
Only home improvement show I look at. Love whst they can do to your home. Love their home and family. Kids are so adorable.
