Resuming daily tasks, such as dressing, bathing and eating, is often a challenge after stroke.
Occupational Therapists teach patients simple strategies to compensate for a loss of abilities.

That's an actor , not a stroke survivor or a patient w mild one. Every patients stroke type, severity and recovery will be completely different going through the 7 stages. Different length of time and success, improvement. It's insulting to people w very bad damage in their case, as if they did not work hard enough to get well. If you got well count your blessing, and prevent a second one. As in my case, the second may not be as forgiving. I am independent and moving , but I am not as after the first one. I was digging stumps 2 days after my first.
It's good to hear success stories, just know not only you work hard but you were blessed w luck. Make sure you keep it that way!
