Hey Jason, me too ! I never even look at AVIS when I arrive at airports, I've been using Thrifty and they're okay (not the best I'm sure but I use them because they are everywhere). AVIS shame on you, I get better service by teenagers at McDonalds.
Wow, wow, wow!! I honestly thought it was just us and one guy being incredibly rude (so bad I nearly had to take a walk to calm down). We definitely won't look to book with them again, there are so many other smaller brands out there trying to compete and offering better service and prices in the process. Sixt were fantastic in the states! P x
If I tried to turn right at a red light, my brain would be screaming "don't do it', just like when Phoebe saw the raw prawn at a dodgy buffet that she mentioned during the Japan live video. Anyway, thank goodness Japan and Australia are similar when it comes to road rules. Excellent video P & M.

I totally feel you when you told me about the imperial system and the tipping! Those are the two things that I am not used to as a Dutch / European citizen. I really like that Americans are so chatty, but sometimes it feels a bit fake. Like you, I am more used to the British and Australian accents of English and less to the American accent, which has a lot of differences as you already mentioned. Thank you for all the tips and tricks given and I might be going to the US during Spring Break 2020, most likely Miami. Have a great weekend! ✌️

So until november no trips and then St Maarten, Australia and probably Miami, the last one is unsure yet. St Maarten was because of a promo deal from KLM Flying Blue and a 45% off deal from the hotel, as they both reopen hotels and routes after hurricane Irma. Australia was a long-term plan which I made a few years ago during NYE in London. Miami is a new plan and that's why I am still unsure about that! What's your next destination?
That all sounds incredible!! We're heading off to New Zealand very soon - hoping to make a three part series for you guys of our amazing road trip!! I'm sooo excited!! P x

Oh so that's what the "TSA" approved lock means. I bought a Samsonite suitcase for $400 last year and I was told something about me being able to take this suitcase to USA without it been busted open etc. Now I know what it means. Yeah and I had to cut down on my beers that week because the suitcase was so expensive :(
