For me it's strictly computer work as it's just a monotonous task. It's like the saying goes same shit different day and I just want different shit different day. The issue is it pays well. Thanks for watching!
Nice video, good talk... I retired a couple years back form a career in mechanical engineering at a commercial nuclear power plant. Not necessarily a "fun" career, but challenging and reasonably rewarding. As a teenager I had a variety of jobs, nothing too fun per say, but a lot of funny things certainly happened along the way... I bagged groceries, cropped tobacco, shingled roofs, washed cars, hustled pool and poker (anything for a few bucks). I gotta agree that a job sitting at a computer is kinda like torture... mental torture for sure!
Cropped tobacco? That's one I've never heard. Mechanical engineer is a definite money maker though and sounds way cooler than a data manager... I think its the challenging aspect that keeps you interested in a job. Mine has become dull and I think it's time to look elsewhere.
@@6oh3on2 Haha, cropping tobacco is basically harvesting tobacco leaves by hand... I also de-tasseled corn those same years... Hot, miserable work... but, perfect for a young man in the south in the early 1970's :)
As someone in IT, I want nothing more to NOT be in IT anymore.
