I'm no engineer, and I have no idea how CAD can compute stress and resistance, but you may want to consider having some L-shaped steel plates for that bracket (your bracket seems really strong in regards to twisting on a vertical axis, but not so much for pressing down on it). If not to avoid a hard snap of the bracket, at least to help with metal fatigue and avoid spring effect of the steel bracket when driving on bumpy road

So I applied what you said and you are absolutely correct. I will apply a multi-angle seat spine instead of simply a flat bar steel.
I wondered. He said hardened steel, but flat steel is still pretty weak compared to angle.
