yeah no what he's doing at bournemouth is unbelievable. him and nagelsmann will eventually replace mou & pep as the two top top managers. england won't win the world cup again until they appoint howe sometime in the 2030s
Oliver Diaper yea but it's Bournemouth at the end of the day. Still though, I think they'll bounce back and avoid relegation. Plus it's only 7 games so far. Only palace are truly screwed
Medical StudyBuddy Need to beat the teams in our mini league. In respect of that, we've won one (Brighton) and lost one (WBA). Would consider Stoke, Newcastle and Huddersfield in there too so will be interesting next couple of games
Oliver Diaper What is your problem with our club? Just because we have spent less time at the top table doesn't make us irrelevant or pointless. In fact, it's the journey that's most exciting
People talk about the Russian billionaire, but if you actually take a closer look, in every season but one (2013-14), prior to the Premier League, Bournemouth made a profit in the transfer market.
But would they have been able to do that without the billionaire's money ? I could make a lot of money buying and selling houses if someone gave me £1 million to start with !
@@lewis72 Manupy clubs in the championship have millionaire, the question is how much they invested in the squad look at premier league top 7/8 all have billionaires or near billions. Bournemouth had millionaire but the other club are not to different.
I really love these kinds of videos...people always talk about big clubs and their rich history but no one talks about the woes and remarkable stories and background of the other clubs..excellent video as always, keep it up you guys...
Maybe in another 20+ years Bournemouth will be one of those "big clubs" with a storied history like them, they all gotta start somewhere. The big clubs weren't always the big clubs.
PiscesPesci yeah well, Bournemouth have a manager called Eddie. And he’s got an assistant called J.T. Together they said fuck off to burnley. Too take us into the premier league.
Thanks for this. As a Newcastle supporter I feel very fortunate that our club is in good hands with Eddie at the helm. I hope the Bournemouth fans know we see him as an absolute hero up here.
YES!!!!! It's crazy how just a few days ago I was thinking to myself there should be a video about Eddie Howwe and Bournemouth and their rise! THANKYOU!!!!!
While it's true that Maxim Demin is a millionaire, we haven't spent a lot, I think the final comment was a little unfair. In our first season in the Premier League we were the lowest value team by a serious margin, in our second season only one team had less value than us. This isn't a club where money has been poured in, this is a club where the access to funds has been spent incredibly wisely.
With a baller backing your club, I figure getting loans and some good faith point also helps a lot, even if the russian doenst spend as much, having that leverage helps
Second favourite club after Liverpool. It's impossible not to admire Howe and what he's done especially considering how he always tries to play attractive football
Just seen the news that he and Bournemouth have mutually agreed for him to leave, he did a tremendous job while he was there, he won’t be short on job offers!
brilliant video, I wasn't fully aware of the clubs hardshios over the years and its even more impressive that they're an established Premier League team
when i was 15-16 years old, i remember that i've take them in FM 2007 when they were in league one and in 5 years we arrived in premier league;in short, a classic career on FM :D. Few years later, when I read the newly promoted in the premier league and saw them, I couldn't hold back a smile, remembering the moments spent with this team! Greeeting to bournemouth from Florence
What a story we have. On the subject of Fletch, absolutely lovely man who is still part of this club and although he was the one who scored THAT goal remains humble. Up the Cherries!
My team (Rotherham United) suffered administration around the same time as Bournemouth. As bad as last season was, I can only be so thankful to everyone that helped so that my team didn't dissolve 10 years ago
Eddie Howe deserve an documentary of his own. His success story need to told, very very talented, humble & ambitious English football manager. Who say there r no good English manager? They just need to b given the fair chance & patience
thegreatcalvinio Performances have been decent mate but results haven't gone our way. However it a results business and unless we start picking up points we will get relegated. I'm confident, we have played Arsenal, Spurs, Man City and Everton so far and only looked out of it against Arsenal. Really we should have beaten Everton and drawn against City. Concern is we are no good with crosses into the box, Brighton figured that out despite winning that game and our defending of the two corners in a row was shabby (one crossbar, one off the line). However Eddie will get it right, starting with Stoke next week
50 seconds in, Krasner wasn't the administrator at the time of The Winter Gardens + buckets; the receiver at that time was Alan Lewis (he even bought a season ticket) Krasner was 10-years later and he spent freely on himself staying at The Chewton Glen. He knew he had the money, as the administration was a pre-pack, paid for by the then chairman of the club.
Love the video just saying, my great nan was of those people who put money into that collection box😂 You've got to do a video on the tactics behind Dortmund they have a style of play that is unique.
Quite similar to Brighton! Maybe the story of Bournemouth is better, and I'm admitting that myself as a Brighton fan! I'm quite happy that we are both in the premier league after all the trouble! This just proves anyone can believe that their club will be in the top flight one day! Just keep supporting your team! Good luck tonight to the Bournemouth fans out there! Come on Brighton!
Eddie Howe is brilliant manager I’ve heard people say that he is a fraud but what he has done even with the financial backing for a club like Bournemouth is incredible
I've been watching since 2005/2006 and yes I agree, but that's because we never needed one till championship and prem, then all the new fans bought the season tickets with a lot of the older fans like us wondering where our tickets and seats have gone. 🤣
I give ultimate respect to Bournemouth to go from a club with little hope to a top club and by the way as far as no such thing as a small club in the premier league, all premier league club are big club and none are bigger than the others
Should have made it about swansea City and how that game against Hull changed everything for them. Roberto Martinez the lot. Especially without ever having a rich owner
As a Portsmouth fan, back in 2009, we were just laughing at our neighbouring teams, Brighton and Southampton, both league 1 teams and little old Bournemouth on the very edge of extinction!! Karma is a bitch 😂
We could have laughed at Portsmouths fall but we know what it's like to be there. Hope you get back to where you belong, which is at least the Championship as soon as possible.
Great Videos. Could you do a video of when Doncaster Rovers nearly collapsed in the 90's when we was relegated out of the football league and our chairman tried burning our Belle Vue ground down for insurance
When picking a national team manager you need to have someone who can turn the season around for a club and keep them higher than the should be... Eddie looks like he could fit in quite well
Domen Bremec As a Bournemouth fan I hope he continues to get overlooked, but admittedly I can see it only being a matter of time before the FA turn up asking to speak to him
Nice story. The millionaire invested in them as he probably saw the perseverance and strive the club and the population had. The club did seem to deserve that influx of liquidity. I am more fond of Bournemouth now that I have seen this video. Best of luck to the Cherries.
If any phoenix story in football ever needed a film it's this one. They were playing recent non-league sides such as Stevenage as recently as the 2011-12 season. The fact they are now holding their own season after season in the Premier League is the stuff fairytales are made of.
I think a lot more people should know about Eddie Howe and his managerial success at Bournemouth

It's a perfectly good analogy. Furthermore, once you're in the Premier League, you get millions more than being in the Championship.
