Yep, that’s what I just found out. Apparently in the comics, Taskmaster’s memory only goes so far. He can copy your movements, but anything that requires actual powers to do is off-limits. He ends up taking a N*zi version of the super-soldier serum that enhances his abilities, but it also destroys his memory, so he’s only around as strong as Cap, nowhere near Spider-Man. It’s kind of great that Insomniac knew that and rigged the models accordingly.

I hope in Marvel's Spider-Man 2, he already copy all their moves from past 2 games like from Miles Morales, Peter Parker and others villains too. Also, hope make him as mini boss where you can meet him few times after fighting boss in the game where he achived new moves.

Wouldn’t copying a guy with no knowledge about combat is a disadvantage to yourself?
Well, even if Peter doesn't know much about combat, his fighting style is still effective, and many of his moves are real moves from actual martial arts, even if Peter never had proper training. The guy DID have 8 years to perfect his fighting style (on some SIFU typa beat).
Also, I think that it's still smart for Taskmaster to do. Because something that just came to me is; "But wait, since it's his own fighting style, wouldn't Peter also know the downsides to each move, and how to counter them(which he does when Taskmaster does the swing kick)? The answer is 'yes', Spidey would be able to counter and know how to beat each move, and would do so during the fight.
Which is EXACTLY what Taskmaster wants. This is also why they have TWO fights instead of just one. During the fight, Taskmaster observes Spidey counter the moves used on him, and Taskmaster learns from that. Because Spidey is essentially teaching Taskmaster how to counter Spider-Man's moves, which Taskmaster can use in his next fight.
To get Taskmaster to do the Swing Kick, you need to jump off a thug and then do the Swing Kick move that way Taskmaster will copy it and it's a QTE dodge
U know how it's annoying how Taskmaster was able to do massive damage and I was wondering how was he able to copy Spidey's moves when Spidey was fighting the thugs? If u know what I mean
