I've lost track of how many days I've been without power. I have been staying at a motel, thinking power would be restored pretty quickly. My health isn't good enough to bake in the heat and humidity for that long. Going to take me a LONG time to recover financially.

We have No Power 😢 our H‑E‑B is almost empty and our nearest gas station in 5 miles but they have no gas. We haven’t been able to leave our home due to our pets bcz the cooling centers are not accepting pets near our home. We paid $13,300 in property taxes last year. $400 a month in electric bills. Our money is not being managed correctly by the upstairs suits. Please 🙏 pray for us.

I have relatives who were supposed to get power yesterday according to the outage map, and they are still without power. They are staying with other relatives. In May, my mom’s friend was out of power for a week, and that wasn’t even a hurricane. It was a derecho or whatever they called it.

The Navy weather model had this storm coming towards Houston for almost a week before it even formed back up into a Cat 1 hurricane. The city’s preparation for this storm was irresponsible and negligent.

    • @Ihavemyownopinion4

And the mayor confidently said to us in the news conference that they were prepared and ready with trucks and personnel the night before the storm. Smh they lie straight to our face but, if we did that we would be under the jail. Smh 🤦🏽‍♀️
