I've lost track of how many days I've been without power. I have been staying at a motel, thinking power would be restored pretty quickly. My health isn't good enough to bake in the heat and humidity for that long. Going to take me a LONG time to recover financially.
Meanwhile, the wealthy, powerful, and influential are doing just fine. It is what it is.
Right there with you buddy, been out from work over a week but hang in there, hopefully FEMA starts helping us folks out just like with Harvey, I remember we lost everything and thanks to some very good people we got our stuff back and back on our feet
I'm Sending Prayers 🙏 🙏 🙏 And Love ❤❤❤To All My Brothers And Sisters In CHRIST JESUS 🙏 🙏 🙏 ❤❤❤!!!
Jacking off 0:28
Hurricane came all over the place
This is my 7th day NO POWER😢😢IN Houston
That is unfortunate. 😕
Hang in there they are come ing, they said for my area we would get it Tuesday we got it yesterday evening after6 hope your come on soon
I'm sorry. That's way too fkn long. My ex's power is still out too. She's going to her moms house, she said fkn it. This has become a joke.
Wya?
@@MakingItHappenMWC don't talk to exes 😅 worry for yourself bruh
He talking about loosing money when ppl are losing their loved ones - dude is a bozo
Wealthy, influential, powerful moguls are always concerned about the bottom lines. Lives are inconsequential in comparison to dollars and resources.
Agreed. He’s not worried how maybe some of his employees or families may have been affected by this storm. All he is worried about is his money.
@@user-rk7eq9iw9hexactly
He needs that alleged bribe money for MR PATRICK AND MR ABBOTT
He’s not a bozo, he’s a businessman who is still paying his employees. That’s compassion, even when his money (his livelihood and theirs) isn’t growing on the trees. Be fair! He’s not the culprit. CenterPointless CEO is the dadgum bozo!
We have No Power 😢 our H‑E‑B is almost empty and our nearest gas station in 5 miles but they have no gas. We haven’t been able to leave our home due to our pets bcz the cooling centers are not accepting pets near our home. We paid $13,300 in property taxes last year. $400 a month in electric bills. Our money is not being managed correctly by the upstairs suits. Please 🙏 pray for us.
$13000 in property taxes??!!!! You paying that much is a crime 😢
Amen
I have relatives who were supposed to get power yesterday according to the outage map, and they are still without power. They are staying with other relatives. In May, my mom’s friend was out of power for a week, and that wasn’t even a hurricane. It was a derecho or whatever they called it.
Power being out is not a perception. These guys are only driven by their greed. Yeah Houston, we got a problem!
The Navy weather model had this storm coming towards Houston for almost a week before it even formed back up into a Cat 1 hurricane. The city’s preparation for this storm was irresponsible and negligent.
And the mayor confidently said to us in the news conference that they were prepared and ready with trucks and personnel the night before the storm. Smh they lie straight to our face but, if we did that we would be under the jail. Smh 🤦🏽♀️
Your absolutely right. It was headed straight for houston !
Then I saw a Centerpoint representative on the news who had the nerve to blame the meteorologist saying that he will be glad when they can predict the path of the storms better. I said to myself “you have got to be kidding me!” They just lie lie lie and then point the blame at others.
texas got tricked by state republican legislators into deregulating the power grid. you asked for it, you got it.. the city had little to do with the mess.. the preparation happens at the state level - not the city.. and your state sold you out.
So sorry to those without power I live in sw Houston and got power 2 days ago. I pray everyone else gets power back soon.❤
I wish they would say structures without power. 1 customer can be a family of 5 and three dogs.
Careful wording is necessary in order to preserve the spin and maintain a false narrative.
Abbott and Cruz are on vacation
Please explain what Ted Cruz can do as a US Senator? I mean, EXACTLY...explain it to everyone. Youre an idiot.
PS. Abbott was overseas on business, so Im also straining to see what he could have done
they dont like texas
I like how he called Centerpoint a Monopoly. It's time for them to share the wealth of their supplys with other companies.
I don’t believe their figures. According to the outage map, I have power in Bellaire.
Yet all the businesses on my street are still in the dark.
Just imagine if this had been a stronger hurricane if I lived near the coast I would move immediately
Maintaining and upgrading the grid is a constant non-stop process. CenterPoint should have been working on that after the May storm. If they had just done tree trimming, it could of kept hundreds of thousands of citizens with electricity after Beryl hit...
This a reminder to folk not in this area to keep your cars full of gas. Laundry done phones charged and keep alot of water jugs in your home.😮
Hurricane Alicia was a category 3, Beryl was only a ONE!
That is unfortunate.
The GOP thinks you're stupid. Are they right?
I guess Humble will be in the last 500,000 group day 7 and I swear I haven’t seen not one truck. We literally drove from north to south Houston STILL NOT ONE TRUCK IN SIGHT! This is negligence on every level and I plan to sue!
They are saying parts of Humble might be back tomorrow but the businesses by specs and urban air have to wait till July 19
Sue😂😂 please sit down and chill before you break a finger brotha
@@ramiroperez2461 what's funny?
Paralysis by analysis
GREG ABBOTT'S FAULT! GET THIS GUY AND HIS OTHER HALF DAN PATRICK OUT OF OFFICE!!!!
Texans got duped by state republicans into deregulating the power grid.. y'all asked for it- y'all got it..
Great show. I learned more from this video than ever. Thanks
Centerpoint must have been using the charts that had the predicted path altered with Trump's sharpie.
Not acceptable… so what are you going to do with it??? Word service ain’t going to do anything!
Once Texas republicans find the perfect private sector providers(their good buddies and donors) then everything is gonna be alright.
All those people who died because of it.. smh
This is day 7 no power me and my kids have sweat rashes taking "cold water" baths 5 times a day because the water isn't even cold it's room temperature because it's so hot outside can't wash clothes can't cook can't do anything. We live in upstairs apartment so we can't even keep windows open or my kids could fall out. Can't afford a hotel. Bucees was raising the prices on their hot food because they knew people needed hot food and couldn't cook. Those old idiot bozos are in their nice AC office talking about losing money.
but Texas is the number one state to live according to Gov Abbott - freedom an all that
Still no power😢
"privilege of monolopy" Let that sink in, that is what they want. No oversight, no competitions, no recourse.
Thank you
8 days without power we need a new mayor we have young kids and seniors that are in danger
Abbott says he and his rich friends have standby generators where they actually make a profit selling excess power back to the utility.
u no cents
12k linemen, claimed to have 80% completed to date (6 days post hurricane), and it will take another 6 days to get to my area restored? Wtf dude…please get 77373 restored
Californians left better weather for this??!!
“Jagging off”… 😂.
Time to get ready for climate change 😢
Take a lesson from the Great state of Illinois. Power ( after the storms) will be restored days before Texas. p.s.--- not from the Prairie State either😂
Which party granted the power company a monopoly?
asking for a friend
Yeah, sun @ 7:40 pm,...610/290, in lazybrook,...9 homes out of 40+,....no pow...been nearly 7 days....bucket truck on my street for 5 mins on fri,...no one got out of truck,..down cul de sac back to intersection, turned left to where fuses are,...never saw another truck or worker,....
How can a category 1 hurricane do so much damage it's almost as though once it came inland it was Amplified somehow as strange as that sounds I've been living here for over 55 years I've been through cat 3 and Cat 4 never have I seen this much damage and remember it was a tropical depression before it hit
Idk, how does a Tropical Storm cause so much damage? TS Allison crippled the city for weeks. Harvey was technically a Tropical Storm as it sat over Houston - fucked us up big time. The label doesn’t matter.
I wonder if they had the category wrong… more like a category 3
@@susanhendry-ku8vbit was a high end category 1.
Centerpoint prepared. It is evident from the results of that prep. Is the Texas governor going to release the money they have been holding since the winter storm in 2021? Is it still all bidnes fault?
VOTE BLUE!! 💙
shut the hell up, Trump is about to win by a landslide after yesterdays events.
Texas and Houston are mostly blue how’s that working out for them and you ? I also find it hilarious that you think democrats are better than republicans when both sides suck.
Did he say Burryl jagged off?
Maybe Florida responds faster because they have to obey Federal regulations while Texas does not. Deregulation is what caused us to not be prepared for the 2021 winter storm. Abbot and Dan Patrick should hold some of the blame too.
No power in Kingwood 🙃
💡*Que les reduzcan el alcance de su contrato si no pueden responder con prontitud a la gente que padece estas temperaturas sin AC y sin refrigerador* 💡
Where are Gov. Abbott and Senator Ted Cruz ? 🤔🥵😡 You can't blame EVERY thing on Reliant if ypou were not in TEXAS !! Ouut of the country. (Abbott -- Asia) (Ted Cruz - off whale watching.) TED FLED - AGAIN !! How many days did youngo without electriciry and A/C???
American greed come full circle
Texas greed
So many people and all at once, there's never going to be any one or any company that will be prepared for the acts of nature. Change starts with us, we need to conserve energy, not be so wasteful and find ways to help out instead of sitting on the phone pointing blame when we're not in the shoes of those that are trying
After hurricane Ike it took 2.5 weeks to get my power on. R E L A X
Ike was category 4. This was a category 1.
Grumpy Grandpa here. If it was a foreign country. The electric would have been back on by now. 😂😂😂
Nope, Hurricane Alicia - 2 weeks without power. hurricane Ike - 2 weeks without power. This is nothing new.
Hurricane Bearl? When did that one happen? 🤔 🤣
texas wanted to be a lone country right? 🤙😂
Damn my AC is hella cold. 🥶
Who cares
