    • @reverse-viserys3336
      @reverse-viserys3336 6 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      I was never a huge Rose fan, but he's very talented. Now that he's playing alongside LeBron, and potentially D-Wade (if they sign him), I can't help but think they know how to avoid major injuries as well as take the scoring load off of him with Love and Isaiah.
      For all we know, Rose could win Most Improved Player or Sixth Man of the Year, maybe perfect his jumpshot like Bosh did in Miami, then if he ever leaves Cleveland, I could see him being an all star again.

    • @quaddy_goon
      @quaddy_goon 7 ปีที่แล้ว +47

      honestly, kawhi reminds me a lot of jordan. both incredible players, and their game is/was heavily influenced by the murders of their fathers. jordan, obviously, was way more talkative and expressive on the court, while kawhi is just dead silent.

    Being from Chicago the D Rose story will always hurt deeply. Watching him play for our hometown team is something everyone dreams of. It’s a shame that he gets all the injury slack undeservingly due to circumstances out of his control.

    Iversons moment is truly the most moving in my opinion because it is deeply human and relatable on so many levels.
    He was a self-admitted punk as a youth who made many, many mistakes. Now, did his environment (friends, role models, household income, etc.) contribute to his poor decision-making and immaturity? For sure. But he has since acknowledged that his choices were his and his alone. And that he didnt outgrow that selfish mentality cultivated during his formative years for a long time. He perceived himself as the victim in his going to jail and it made him more volatile and bitter, when he should have realized how his mistakes were his in the situation that led to his incarceration -- but that is difficult. I believe he failed himself during that time, but others failed him too.
    And when he got to the NBA, it became worse. He became too famous, too quickly, and was too ill-eqipped to grow as a person in the situation he was in at the time -- a troubled young man surrounded by increasingly bad influences but was now able to simply throw money at the issues he and others were creating for him. Ill never forget hearing the story about the police impounding his expensive car because was breaking the law and he simply told them to keep it because he owned many more. Depressing to see how far his outlook on life regressed and how decadent he was, especially considering where he began in life.
    And then time hit him. Not all at once, but slowly, as it hits all of us. At least until we look into the mirror and fail to recognize the reflection any longer. He was constantly embroiled in controversy, bouncing around teams, squandering more and more money, and regressing slowly as a player until "The Answer" was gone forever. A dilapidated persona casting a long shadow over all which he now did and sought. Inescapable. Now, he was just Allen Iverson, tragically common yet uncommon, a name carrying all of the weight of poor choices and character flaws but not afforded the virtue of redemptive opportunity. A man forced to bear a monicker that could not offer anybody anything anymore, but also not allowed to forge a new idenitity.
    Iverson owns he was. Who he now is, and who he wants to be. A kid who went through a lot, foolish and without guidance who grew into an arrogant man, who won it all and lost it all -- yet acknowledges that it is his story. And that he wont hide it, but wants to move on from it. That is hard for a man to admit to in a world that will constantly try to break you out of envy, or spite, or even unknowingly.
    Not every story has a happy ending, but a true man owns up to the fact that he authors his. No matter how tough that may be to confront.

    I teared up a little during Kobe's last game. Also when he tore his Achilles and walked to the free throw line to clutch the Lakers playoff birth.
    Also the time when the Donald Sterling controversy was happening and the Clippers crowd were chanting "We are one" was really touching. And the one time Toronto lost to Cleveland in the playoffs and fans were chanting "We the North" was moving. I didn't cry but was inspired.

    as a role model and basketball player met a beautiful child, Mia i believe, she had cancer and she later died, but he spend a lot of time with her and her family and visiting hospital, even though she was a stranger it shows that humans can have feelings for strangers and love truly exist, i salute John Wall for being who he is, he also had a rough childhood
