on the other hand if this were a skill based game instead of a set and bs game, you would be able to get good quicker...they constantly strip away creativity and player skill by making bs like the saints mythic that puts melee users at a huge disadvantage if you don't use it and your opponents do
I did the PvE DLC hardmodes before I even started on PvP... Once in PvP I felt like a newbie again and had to learn from scratch.
It was like I bought a whole new game lmao, wasted all that effort for pve build....

I think PVE in ESO requires to do way more research than PvP- mechanics for trials, vet dungeons, hidden achievements and drop limits (like 24 hour limits for style pages, transmutes etc). PvP is way more straightforward
No. Warframe is a nightmare. ESO can be played very well casually until you want to engage in more competitive content.
The thing to remember is that PVE and PVP are almost 2 different games. For me, PVE is classical music where you move and fight in a relatively strict rotation, and PVP is jazz where you have to react to a situation as it develops. The other analogy that works for me is that PVP is like that rock, paper, scissors game where what works against one guy might not works well against another.
20 days!!!!! -Took me 4 years to become decent in PvP...
I didnt get proficient at pvp until 500+ hours. Now at 1500+ i, finally, feel like I'm pretty good at pvp. Switching the mindset from pve, which I initially did a lot of, to pvp is tough. Live on that backbar, reset, kiting, resource management, using your surroundings, and then go back offensive.
Be a student of the game! You can't rush to greatness, bc you're good at GTA.
Bro I'm at 12k hours and I still trash sometimes 😅
@@donovanwahrman4735 that part!
You perfectly described why the pvp is terrible.
hours spent grinding stats, skills, passives, sets etc is not some great achievement. This is just how mmo business model works. Make players do boring crap and convince them that they are learning a 'skill'. You all just being played by zenimax.
Bro this game has so many self buffs it is insane. New players cannot remember them all. No matter how good in PvP are they mechanically in other games like mobas or other MMOS unless they'll get into the mindset of slotting abilities that apply something to you or your enemy and constantly cycling through them, they do no damage and receive a fuckton of damage and die all the time. Add sets that add even more self buffs into the mix and it is a disaster for new players. I don't blame that guy.
The craziest thing is this is greymoor patch, arguably one of the easiest times to solo PvP and get x’s.
@@Godboy860 was too easy back then before mythics! Had a lot more viable options compared to now
@@EmantheChosenna back then people had no idea how to auto weave and it was 40% of your expected damage. Baseline damage for existing now is way higher than it used to be.
@@EmantheChosengreymoor patch is when mythics came out
Facts. Any templar with seventh legion and eternal vigor and troll king or engine guardian could 1VX with no issues at that point. It’s a trash build now. 😂😂😂😂
Defending warrior + Crimson twilight + malacath band was all I needed to be unkillable. I could face tank 10+ people while dealing decent damage. Also necro bombing was a thing. Good times.
Souls invader here, been playing eso about 2 months now and having a blast. It's been a LOT of work to put together something that works well, but it is absolutely skill based for pvp. Para bellum, spriggans and maelstrom weapons have been a godsend, but holy shit it was hard to get here. Cl 420 now, wish me luck!
Good luck dude
Until you've died like 10,000 times, you don't know anything about PvP
Exactly
That’s just ego put any hardcore player in this game they will figure it out in a week. It’s not that complex.
I've been playing casually since the covid lockdowns and I'm still not ready for PvP, yeah I get a kill here and there but without the right gear sets, CP and perks, better quality gear and overall experience your getting destroyed by veterans. I'm just enjoying learning new gear sets and seeing my toons become stronger in PVE content
There is no build diversity because 90% of the sets are wonky. And the few good sets rotate nerfs. Some sets sound great but in practice are terrible.
@@hellbender27 so many interesting and forgetten about sets in the game they never get touched and are pointless
This is why gw2 pvp its better
Couldn't agree more. ESO is a very very deep game with SO MUCH going on - and the biggest thing is some fights are unwinnable. I am confident in all 1 on 1s, but I am still crap because I haven't learned how to *move* (strategically) to use my strength on the map, in either BGs, IC, or Cyrodiil
ESO isn’t gta or call of duty. There’s way more to ESO, it took years to have an understanding of everything let alone be decent in PvP.
Exactly!
eso isn´t that complicated, at least compared to PvP-mmos. The PvP is hard to get into and can be incredible frustrating to new players though. One-shot-ganking builds do not give new players the time to learn/process. Even old players often dropped the game for months or years. After the release most players (especially PvP-players) just left- and never came back. After the release the game pretty much failed, there was a time where the servers were almost empty (less than 300 players online on the servers). ZOS just dropped the PvP-focus of the game altogether and never cared about it again in the following next 10 years. They instead focused on PVE-grinds and casual gamers. It is a game-design-problem.
@@Barlin-d2j -What do you mean with PvP MMOs? -Wow? (you gotta be kidding me!) Only FPS games have better PvP than ESO.
Exactly. The skill ceiling is pretty high (not as high as it used to be) but simple stuff like keeping buffs up, hots running, and ani-canceling while simple is lost on new players. Being able to squeeze extra damage into GCD is a huge damage difference.
@@elderwiz3165 haven´t played wow much, but I think it has more of an PvP focus than ESO. PvP Games would be for example: daoc (the game ZOS copied cyro and bgs from + hired developers from), full loot games like potbs, life is feudal etc; multiplayer for example conan exiles etc.
Saying ESO has great PvP has to be a joke. There is a reason why pretty much all PvP players left after release and why ZOS switched their focus to PVE/ditched PvP
I'm brand new to eso. Only 3 weeks. Love the game. There's a ton to learn. He doesn't realize how much every class can do and this differences in gear and skills. Man I know the pvp is gonna be rough that's why I haven't bothered yet. I'm having fun learning my one class right now and figuring out the game. The pve is awesome cuz I can solo! But I'll give pvp a shot and try but I know it's gonna be a while till I get good. Just like WoW
Most important part is to have fun and enjoy the journey!
It's not worth the time it takes to grind because there is no fun at the end of it trust me move on
He did the same thing in Guild Wars 2 when he tried structured PvP. He rushed in and got the shit kicked out of him until he rage quit the game.
Was kinda fun to watch as seasoned gw2 pvper though 😂
I remember when i first got big into PvP, and had farmed a good PvP gear setup for the first time (Hulking draugr and Shacklebreaker with Bloodspawn on a Stamdk in Morrowind patch,) thought i was finally getting good after popping off in alot of BGs over like 100 hours or so of pvp and eventually thought i am "Nearing the skill ceiling" (lol) with like 500 hours total playtime in the game; then i duel one of my friends' friend who literally took off all his armour in a duel and absolutely wrecked my shit many times in a row, that was when i knew the PvP in this game is really something special and made me put thousands of hours into this game and still playing it today.
Skill is only half the issue, the balance is and has been fucked for a very long time. You have classes/skill/gear setups that allow them to deal high dmg, mitigate dmg near completely, and never run out of resources. There has to be a trade off...gets old cracking off 3-4 10k-12k crits in a row only for someone's health bar to either not budge or be healed to full with a spammable low cost heal...then they turn around and blast off a string of 8-12k crits themselves and fold your squishy dd focused build. Now as a dmg heavy build you should be squishy, risk v. reward. Classes and builds shouldn't have the option of doing everything at max efficiency.
Zos is terrible at combat, especially when it concerns pvp...they keep making bs and making it harder to be creative and play solo if not bombing
@@derekcorman2112 yea class balance as definitely been an ongoing problem they buff/nerf things based also on pve which is always a terrible idea
👏 👍 the only thing I disagree with is skill being half the issue lol
@@EmantheChosenjust make the item sets work differently in pvp vs pve. Pve keeps what it has or nerfed. Pvp gets its own stuff. That's what swtor did. Pvp there is way better than eso lol

I watched the Summit videos when i started ESO 4 years ago, it was really good to get an idea of the game actually. There are even some in which he does PvE and can clearly see he has not yet grasped the core of the game in either of the modes. It really takes some time to become decent at this game not even to speak of good especially in Pvp (i am still very far away from that), simply because there are so many thinks you need to consider, know and actually be able to pull off under pressure. Even if mentally you know what the right play is, actually doing it can be hard sometimes. There are some people that make insane progress very quickly but there is nobody that can become really good at this game in either pvp or pve in say less than half a year... you need about that time just to farm some the gear you might need.
SypherPK started as an ESO streamer and had to quit because he just got too famous and was constantly gaked. Fengrush is able to make it work but he doesn't going into cyrodiil or Imperial city without about 10 top tier people on comms to rotate to call out ulitmates and such.

@@Tankerbell83 I got you!
I quit eso a while ago but good to see your still keeping the game alive bro much love and respect brother keep up the good work 💪🏽❤️
Why did you quit?
I tried PvP in the early days, and got my @$$ handed to me, over and over. So I’ve since focused on PvE and I tinker with gear, theorycrafting, do my daily crafting jobs and some other dailies, questing etc. I highly recommend most midgame players try soloing easier 4-player dungeons, as a way to learn skill rotation and managing resources. A good build isn’t everything, you have to learn how to move, how to do crowd control, avoid enemy AOEs, light attack weaving, manage buffs and debuffs, the list goes on. But I also have a f**kton of mats and can craft my own master level potions and foods. I also have $30M gold in bank, buying and selling in two guilds.
This video is GOLD. Summit has a really good point though about having to chug expensive potions or being at a massive disadvantage. Prot pots/tri pots make pvp feel 5x easier. imo pots outside of regular stam/magicka/health pots should be removed from cyrodil & bgs and you should have to sacrifice the other 2 to use one. Its also pretty silly when you are in the middle of 5 teammates and 6 enemies and trying to see slight animations that could be more pronounced. I think if things like meteor made the caster glow with a two tone that cant be mistaken like YELLOW+GREEN that would make it 100x easier for new players to recognize when to dodge/block
the lag is horrible most of the time and even when it works ZoS has narrowed down combat options so much that you're forced to use certain things or fight at a huge disadvantage
@@naplzt4k mythics for instance
Just found your chan bro (sorry but couldn't resist!) Enjoyed the video, I just getting into PVP in ESO and yea man this shit plays different. @@EmantheChosen I hope so, praying on a real pvp update
This games combat mechanics is one of the most complex out there to be very good at PvP. 20 days ? Even if you were hyper sensitive to grasping eso mechanics, it would still take months to compete at a high level with lots of hard learning curves
Eman I know we beef in IC from time to time but i 100% agree with you. I moved to PC NA 4 months ago and the curve for a fresh player is real, even from a champ 2k with a build aspirations in mind. As soon as my MMR caught on to me it was a hard wall. Pure sweat. Pyre DKs and draugr wardens all day. People need to put in the work and understand game mechanics before assuming you've peaked and want to move on. ESO is about baby steps, people think they can dump all their gold on an "S-Tier" build and run a 40-0 match. Without Kiting knowledge, LoS, or buff management. Resourse mindfulness. Ult timing. Setting up burst. Most of these terms will be lost on casual pvpers. I'm GM of a PvP guild and coach members often. The first thing i tell them when theorycrafting a build or what class to play is by asking them "how does your opponent feel when fighting you?" What are they doing? Are they panic healing/cleansing, Running away, Ignoring you, fighting you through your damage? Your opponent will tell you how good your build is, not the scoreboard.
@@Auldus all love bro and all facts!
This video made me feel a lot better about PVP. I have some amazing moments in it but get shit on from time to time.
I have a similar mag/stam sorc hybrid(basically 53k mag with a 2h and ice staff back bar) death dealers fete mythic, crafty alfiq, wretched vitality, balorgh monster set. It works great but can be countered(Nightblades in particular)
I also run a DK and Nightblade. Really just have to be smart about when to commit to a fight and play to your classes strengths.
I am a pvp-mmo-player who has been playing mostly PvP-(MMO)-games for over 20 years. Bought eso around 9 or 10 years ago, have 10k+ hours mostly doing PvP. Sure, he made lots of mistakes BUT I get his feelings. Compared to other mmos esos pvp is just bad. It was mediocre years ago and gets worse with each year. Servers are laggy, there is no balancing and the last few chapters have clearly been p2w. OP gear etc. gets released and only gets nerfed right before the new chapter with new broken stuff gets released (oakensoul, arcanist, tarnished, scribing etc.). Every time this broken stuff gets released players who buy the new chapters have huge advantages. Skills often glitch in PvP and stuff doesn´t work for no apparent reason.
ESOs core game design is about action-reaction combat, but has been broken since the beginning (animation cancelling= no animation to react to = action-reaction-game-design is broken). The core-combat-design is similar to Conan Exiles- but doesn´t work as well. Eso PvP is often just about the gear and unloading tons of dmg (procs, dots etc.) - sometimes with no time to react ("one-shot"-builds). There are no real tactics or teamplay in ESO, it is a single-player-game disguised as mmo. I get why it can be really frustrating for new players- ZOS dropped PvP years ago and has never cared about it since then - other than changing the meta to keep the players playing (grinding) and paying.
His PvP-fight wasn´t great, but I don´t agree that u need much time to get lots of kills in PvP. The PvP-game-design in ESO has massive problems though. With less and less players around ZOS removed the choice of what bg-style to play, it is all random now- resulting in many players just going for kills instead of going after the flags/ball/relic- with the team paying the price. In PVE there are drop limits forcing players to do repetitive grinds, spending more time grinding won´t give u always more rewards. New players get left behind (dungeon-speedruns) or feel like years of grinding is ahead of them - which is kinda true (leveling riding skills + crafting research take around half a year in real time for each character; hidden 24 hour-drop limit etc.) unless u buy it for real money. I DO understand that ESO can be an incredible frustrating experience for new players, especially PvP. It is flawed game-design by a developer who doesn´t care about fun and only cares about the last drops of money they can squeeze out of a dying game, it is truly sad.
Ps: another aspect not to forget: ESO PvP can get incredible toxic. t-bagging is normal, as well as pms with insults or even threats. Unlike other MMOS with PvP- u can send messages to ur enemy in ESO
PPS: PvP doesn´t even give decent rewards. So it is all about the "fun"- but fun isn´t exactly what the publisher focused on. So even if u are great at PvP- it might get boring/frustrating after a few hundred hours of doing it. ESOs PvP isn´t endgame by design, it is what u do in between PvE
^this, eso is alive off its elder scroll history, eso is a severely broken pvp game
@@Jumpkic true. It started as PvP focused game, failed, and ZOS then ditched PvP altogether and switched to PVE casual players. The mmo has almost no focus on teamplay and more of an focus on single-player-experience. Many people playing the MMO are elder scrolls fans. Most of the PvP and MMO-fans left years ago. The PvP got worse over the last years since the publisher clearly isn´t interested in investing time or money into it. It gets used to sell chapters, while the choice of what type of bgs/pvp players want to do got removed entirely
@@Barlin-d2j very true but a lot of us still play it because as bad as the game is the PVP aspect as a lot of potential and a lot of us play it hoping one day they drop a patch that can fix everything even tho it’s highly unlikely because it seems like they don’t care enough about pvp
Bro just said t bagging is toxic.... i legit cant. You are not a pvp mmo player. You are a pve theme park andy.
@@EmantheChosen I get it. Hope dies last. I am also still playing and doing battles in bgs and Cyro. But the state of PvP is not great. Their last "PvP Update" was the freaking cardgame... Especially with the last few chapters they really seem to have given up on PvP.
Yeah I've been playing this game for 10 years as well and in my later time here I've actually been getting to a point where I actually run a lot of content solo sould it be veteran dungeons, there are some trials I could run solo up to the first boss before mechanics get in the way and I'm just now feeling like I'm pretty competent. Been recently getting into the PVP seen in the past year or so and I'm doing my best at it and you're right it is a process it's a whole different beast than actually playing the game and I feel like I'm learning things all over again. But I always take every loss as an opportunity to reflect and see what I did wrong and one day I hope to get a PVP I like your takes on this one gonna drop a sub 😄🍻

I started ESO literally last week and I've been having incredible success. I've been playing Mag Arcanist and been getting dueled by randos quite often and actually had someone with a champion level alt+f4 after I beat em when I was level 29.
It might be because of years of doing WoW pvp and being exceptional at that coupled with the scaling when I duel folks, but I'm excited for end game PvP even though I know there's gonna be times when it gets rough.

FINALLY!!!! Someone who knows how pvp games works 😂 I hate ppl that act like it takes a day or 20 days in this case to be better I have friends that hates mmo games when all you have to do to get good is farm gears that will help you survive and rack up some bodies and most importantly know your class cuz at the end of the day you have to know what class is best in pvp whether it’s crowd control as tank or single target eating healthbars as dps you just gotta know how to play a class and what abilities will help you
I’ve been playing since march this year as a first timer and can confidently say at 20 days i don’t even know a fraction of what i know now. I’ve played on AVERAGE 5 hours a day and even to this day i learn tiny things that make me go “damn no wonder player x did this to me” or even things that make me waaay stronger (block healing/casting, sustain management). If you don’t take it serious and study the game you will never get better. Currently 1190 and can’t get enough of this game lol
I wish there was a way to check the builds/sets of people during BF matches. Sometimes, there are people there using the same class I'm playing but completely different abilities which I'd like to test out but it's not that easy to find reliable sets on youtube.
As a ESO vet, I regret to say there are 8 things you are missing. First you have to be in the eso community, second you need the bloodthirsty on all jewelry, third you need a weapon trait and enchantment that gives you an increase in damage, fourth player testing server first, fifth DLC dungeon sets, sixth champion points, seventh mythic that is separate from the other damage modifiers, eighth before you start create a character for each class(high elf-sorcerer, argonian-warden, Breton-templar, kajiit-knightblade, nord-necro or dk, dark elf-scribe, and imperial-necro/dk.) it’s small, but it’s impossible to do stuff like maxing tank out without nord. Knight blade is pvp, warden is healer, scribe is pve, sorc is magic dps/also the only class a werewolf should choose, and beyond that is advanced hybrid classes that require calculations with different sets to function.
This is a deep game with so much to do its easily overwhelming for some heads. The build theory is crazy deep especially if you're not trying to follow the meta.
I've been playing since day on off and on for yrs...I quiet a year and a half ago and have tried to come back like 4 times and I just ended up staring at the menu and riding my horse around for a few mins...browsing the store and just timing out and ending up on my phone. I dunno why I just can't get into it anymore. I really just wish questing was more fun.
Anyway, my wolves aside, I have played this game about 10 years and I still learn something almost every time. There's no way you're getting anywhere of relevance in this game in 20 days. I'd say you need 1 year to truly understand everything and even then it's always changing.
I got decent after a few months i only hit lvl 50 and never did CP but after learning the fundamentals such as keeping buffs up i became pretty effective for my MMR doubt i was good but it was 100% enjoyable
He is completely right about 1vX. Watch the people the 1 guy is fighting, none of them block or dodge and rarely remember to heal. They all move around clumsily light attacking and never throw out CC
34:50 mmo games are never meant for ego junkies it’s meant to be a humbling learning curve
Asmongold played for 4 hours, was given everything including millions of gold, went i to cyrodiil, had a full 200 man army and died and gave up, and still got streamsniped so hard he couldnt even get to level 20
Big streamers like him whose fan base are 12 year olds will never be good at a game like ESO. They need easy mode like FPS like cod or other shooters like Fortnite, in order to maintain easy, distributed content. It’s a joke.
Exactly being good at ESO takes time not just an mmo your gonna hop into and expect to do well

ESO has so many carries right now! Summit was wrong for thinking he could get good at such a complex game in such a short amount of time, but he was right in identifying an out of whack PvP experience. Think of all the carries that are out there right now. Arc DoT build, the healing buff with my main class mag sorc’s shields, tarnished nightblades, Warden charm builds, sets like Pariah, masters duel wield, rallying cry being run by like the entire PvP community, and so on and so on. He wasn’t playing when all of this stuff was out, but I’m sure there was equally the same amount of bullshit meta nonsense in 2020 too. There pretty much always has been. Hell I remember running pirate skeleton on a mag sorc in 2016 and just being able to stand there shield stacking, casting spells and killing dudes while like 6-10 people were wailing on me. Kinda like Arcanists right now. So many players reach for these low hanging fruit builds too. Quite a few of these players probably don’t know how or when to block, when to pop pots offensively or defensively, when to cast defensive ultimates, etc. They are though, on ridiculous carry builds so quite a few players manage to be “competitive” without actually mastering the basics. At least in FPS it’s mostly about reaction times. There are meta guns and movement nonsense there too, but as someone who can play those at a high level too, they feel so much less like BULLSHIT. ESO has always felt like the game to me with the MOST carries I’ve ever seen. It’s just an unbalanced, outta whack game that can be very fun and sometimes competitive, skill sometimes shows when you’re not fighting complete cheese, but in my opinion the amount of nonsense makes it more of a carry game than a skill based game. I mean lastly think of oakensoul for gods sake! It gives you every buff in the game while cutting the skills you have to use in half! They might as well have said calling all potatoes!!! Have we got something for you! Are you so incompetent you can’t buff? No worries! Here’s a ring! We need your potato money too! Nothing but love Eman though!
The thing I take away from this is just that: You shouldn't be good in a few weeks, but you should be having fun in those few weeks. Personally I've never had much fun in PvP, but I want to attempt to get good at it. Played for about a year now, and I'm still pretty ass.
Combat is tuned in such a way as to require the constant use of consumables, because making those consumables involves the gathering and crafting systems, which are a miserable experience without Plus. Or you can just buy tri-pots from the store. But either way, they get you to spend. In other words, it's crap by design.
Tbh this clown shows exactly what's wrong with PVP this days. No one want's to put anymore Work in to learn PVP to get better. They expert they can jump in this Game and think they can do what we have learned over years. I play PVP now for over 4 years and i'm still learning
Because most people don’t have the patience and time to spend four years trying to learn how to play one fucking game
It’s so funny I love this video I’ve been playing this game sense 2013 10/10 from me

Played a lot of eso it takes a lot to be good because u need to spend time in pvp and dungeons getting min max gear and stuff.
Will say tho compared to other pvp experience eso balancing isn’t the best especially for new players but this is with a lot of games that been out for a long time with such a diversity in abilities.
It’s a gift and a curse but I love the hell outta eso and battlegrounds
Curious to find out what kind of sets he is using as well. Probably no heavy gear.
@@moisesblanco he was mislead also wasn’t very high cp at all
Naw Eman this all facts you saying bro… I’m in fucking tears good video… he doesn’t weave block, he probably running non sets lmao, no buffs, no potions, no poisons,
Glad to see you’re keeping it alive bro!
When you really get good at eso PvP gear hardly matters anymore. Like if we got a new account, craft wretched and buy rallying cry and you can beat most players if you know how to play. BUT that takes years.
played 1 year. am just getting to the point an actually enjoy BG’s & hold my own in solo queue. if I queue with a buddy in group queue i get wrecked pretty hard (especially in the evenings!!!), but its still fun. i celebrate getting even 2-5 kills, or having many assists or something in those situations….
Keep at it!
He just didn't like the game enough to fight through the learning curve. I've felt that about a lot of mmos.
I got over 1000 hours now in a year, and I only started getting okay at the game, easily one of the biggest skill gaps in a game
ESO PvP peaked in 2018 when there were 5 full servers with 2x as many people per server, and about 6 differnent ways to play every class..
-The average health was 25k and CC immunity was only a potion.
-Groups were 24 people with distinct roles that one meta build could not replicate
In started in 2015, quit in 2023.
"Run away, never Die" crybabies destroyed this once amazing PvP.
Pvp is just kite flying until they outnumber you then tbag.
I kept dying all the time when I started... (Still do its been a year) 😂 But what I found better at first for PvP is go pretty much full defensive sword and board and just put pressure on the other teams so my team could kill at it works alright for me at the start.
-Isn't having fun
-Quits
Hes smarter than the average eso player
No idea who this guy is, but, hes right. Its not about skill. ESO hands down has the worst pvp of any mmo. Waste of time for anyone with actual skill. Even EvE is better, which is a tab target, press F1, autofire and pray game.
Smart play is to see it, fall in love with intended concept, try it, quit after few days, never fuck with it again. Thats what millions of others did. As I did. As he did. This is the response 90% of the people would give. He was honest.
This is like someone trying to learn guitar and then quitting cause they couldn't play free bird in the first month
You don’t need to spend months learning pvp in eso, you just need to get the right sets. Brand new players just have to play no cp modes, or grind the cp first. It doesn’t take a lot of time to learn to be decent in pvp in eso. I was 1vX ing players my first week, and I’m no summit.
I played since day one 2014 and even played in the Beta. Have thousands of hours put into the game.
I quit because of PVP imbalance and lack of attention to PVP.
And that’s even having at least one max level of every class.
Then the also not addressing the point boosting for EMP in cyrodiil. There’s well guarded discords for it that you have to pay for the service.
I sat in second place for EMP for a long time plenty of times to wonder how someone would shoot up millions of points to hold a lead over me in just a few hours while I was offline. Cross faction boosting.
Last straw was the devs literally talking down to and openly talking trash to the PVP community and one allowing his wife to come on stream and talk trash to them.
I was out.
Housing was the only thing I was playing for by the end of it.
This game was PEAK when it was pay to play though just couldn’t keep the numbers. Once it went free to play/subscription it slowly started going downhill for PVP quality and moved most focus to PVE balancing while PVP was ignored whilst before cyrodiil was the main focus.
yea can definitely I understand where he's coming though. 20 days is nearly 500 hours and that's when I really started to understand how to hold my own in pvp. I wasn't raw dogging ppl but i was getting decent milage. And my first 500 hours was spent playing throughout the year I didn't do it all in one sitting.
I came back to ESO about 3 months back and PvP in ESO is a whole different thing than other MMO's. It's a BIG learning curve! I'm doing ok now but still get mowed over all the time lol but that's just something you gotta accept and move on and learn. Unless you are a Nightblade or Sorc lol those 2 clases are just cataclysmically overpowered in PvP!
DK does pretty well also.. Just don't be a Necro..
@@seabhacgra517 yes every big update there’s changes to the Meta on what options you need to be competitive in pvp
@@elderwiz3165 I play Arcanist, they recently took our execute away which we NEEDED for the burst the class is sorely lacking,.. it's been rough but I compensate best I can lol
thats true alot of streamer left eso because they have (no skils) and the other rest left because no money so if i was streamer i will still play game i like not the game who got the buzz or money.
respect for the eso streamer still alive in 2024 :) ... have meet you many times in cyro we are in the same alliance bro i was dont know u live gg.
Lol I wanna say so much jeez. As someone who's never played any game for any real extended period of time. The difficulty of pvp is what has kept me playing pvp for the last 4 years lol. The constant changes nerfs buffs etc etc zos hasn't done much for us in pvp in couple years. Check out patch update 44 hitting public servers next month I believe huge change in the battle ground set ups!?!?! FINALLLLY ZOS THANK YOU
I bought ESO on launch day over 10 years ago and still play it. I'm at 2.3K CP and PVP is still a steep challenge. A lot of players are using finely tuned builds that are very tanky with lethal burst damage. It just takes time and patience with so many build options and update changes that keep metas a constantly moving target. Instead of starting in PVP, daily dungeons in Normal mode are a good start. Then move up to Vet difficulty and maybe try some of the trials. Ultimately, you get what you want out of the game. There are people who live in Cyrodil and do nothing but PVP trying to become Emperor. But a lot of people just chill and play all the PVE content or just fish. Find what you like and pursue it. But you're not going to steamroll veteran PVP players after 3 weeks of practise. Take it from someone who spends a lot of time dying after 8 years of practise. I respawn and try again. It's just a video game.
You did a great job on this video! Would love to do a collaboration on pvp training with you. I shared this in my discord
Fasho man add me on discord: emanthechosen
I remember this, he saw some old SYPHER videos and wanted to do it
Why anyone would expect to excel at ESO PvP after 20 days when you have people with 20 or even 30 THOUSAND hours playing this game is beyond me. If you enjoy the game play it, don't measure your enjoyment on how well you do in a game you just started, come on!
@@JLawL that part!
Been playing ESO for over a year just mainly focusing playing solo on PVE. Even with a CP of over 600, I still get my ass whooped in random NORMAL dungeons...and can't even get past ARC 1 on Infinite Archives which I only started playing less than 20 days ago. Battlegrounds are still a big challenge for me as I still can't get the hang of PVP, i.e. getting the right gear set for my class (PVE gear sets wont have the same effects if you use it on PVP), choosing the right skills, allocating the right CP points to help buffs and debuffs, etc. And you also have to play with random other players who are just new to the game. ESO takes way more than 20 days to getting the hang of and there is always going to be room for improvement even if you hit a CP of over 3000. You can't do that in 20 days!!

And imagine that with the current state of BG setting, you are bout to get people like him at least once a day into your team. Of course I’m not concerned but even on my high MMR in BGs where I’m getting basicaly always the same ppl which are top tier in the leaderboards, still because there is daily reward and not much ppl that play PVP (BGs) compared to PVE, there is a chance that you get this one button sorc heavy attack player (he’s hit CP 200 and thinks he’s in the endgame) who will get crushed by meta nightblade or sorc and he will mentaly explode, sitting at spawn typing nasty cryouts into a group chat. ZOS needs to remake the BGs, not like in U44 where we get like new 4v4 and 8v8, but we need ranked system, maps shoul be “click to choose” like in CSGO (CS2) and also the gamemode should be “click to choose”, like if i want to really play BGs i want to play deathmatch only, some people excel at flag games, others at land grab, also some maps may be just a nightmare for my build, so i want to pick a map that suits me, also when we will have rank for example in deathmatch you will be higher division, you’ll be getting paired and versing same tier players, also we have CP, non-cp cyro and also IC, why not BGs? my minmax build is not performing that well, without cp, the current system doesn’t work properly, I’m atm rank 1 at flag games PCEU, the funny thing is that i have taken 0 flags on these minigames anf just played em like deathmatch giving a space for my team to win by eliminating all the enemy folks, it needs to be changed, changes like these would let players, like the guy on the video, learn in enviroment that is not so harsh for em, cuz all of em would be on the same level of skill, BGs are great form of pvp, it’s fast, it’s dynamic and it’s entertaining, but the way they have executed it doesn’t make much sense and may be frustrating for newbies, talking bout low cp players mostly
This is some of the funniest shit I’ve seen in a while 😂
Summit1g Not only "was" a big streamer, he's still a very big streamer.
everyone that has a guild has got to find new players and teach these guys how to play and suggest them to not go pvp until they are ready
damn i was playing for 4 years now and i am now in endgame^^
ESO is its own MONSTER..... word! i sub lol
I been playing for ten years and i get how ppl feel about the game and its state thru the years but honestly i adapted and over came alot from lagg, zergs, bombers, etc and i can say thru it all it pushed me to get better am i the best pvp'er no but i definitely holdy own very damn good....love it or hate it eso is a unique game not ment for the ones looking for a easy walk in and im op type of mind set its frustrating but also beautiful at the same time like chaotic good 😅....i learned alot from players and my mistake and am greatful that i stuck around
This hurts to watch because I been grinding to get 1300 for over 6 months now
i dunno probly depends on the player tbh.. am not good at pvp but those 1vX videos got me into eso. even when i was low level (like level 15 when u get bar swap) i always go into the open world pvp area. i do get messed up alot bit i enjoy the madness that goes on with the mass pvp. i know about the cc in the game so when around high level players i dont cc so i dont mess up there combo. for me its fun and even years of sucking at it i still enjoy it over the pve content. the game is fun just need to learn and try out classes
A lot of people talking crazy in comments but this happened in 2020, the game wasn't even in the same realm as it was now. The max cp was 810, 30k hp was seen as a lot, you could easily get by with 25k hp easily, this was before hybridization even so you didn't need heal stacking.
It's funny to me how eso players have just become so meta-obsessed they think it's crazy to use sword and shield without even realizing this game was a whole different beast in 2020. The only consistent thing is that procs were the meta, but people are hella spoiled by eso right now being able to do anything with every buff and heal available.
Definitely a different game today
