@@skulpturostone4621Those people are very highly skilled, the ability to run into a tower as opposed to simply standing there and dying is not a bad thing, it’s intelligent
I think the main cheating bugs you’ll see are keyboard binding to instances in the game, or controllers that are coded to do certain things. For instance in PvP having an instant break free, automatic blocking in between skills and weaving better inputs can give you an advantage. But it won’t outright save you against any skilled player. The main problem in this game is lag not cheating
@@SilverScythe65 you’d be surprised how many more fights you’ll win if you correctly learn how to block. But having it on every tick you take damage is silly. Like I said lag will still kill anyone dead, and is any players worst enemy or biggest crutch haha
I'm on the oh so amazing PS5........ guess what.........lag.........I got a gig of bandwidth thru mediacom..................still have lag.........now the other day......I saw a group of characters 15 or 20 couldn't tell really running using the same move moving the same way as if they were all one player and I assumed it was.
This year marks the 40th anniversay of what we now call the MMORPG. Been there for all of them and have seen this same behavior pattern in every single one. The root problem is addiction. People playing not because they want to, but because they have to. Addiction is a fundamentally anti-social condition and can manifest itself in behavior akin to outright madness. It's more of a problem in ESO for more reasons than can fit into a credible YT comment. Short version: ESO relies on Skinner Box mechanics and player addiction to monetize the game.
@@dustinbowersock1042 You remind me yet again, that it's high time *someone* wrote a damned book about that move to the Employment Model for online games where every player is paid for every game activity and the focus is acquiring digital items over player relationships. Richard Bartle and Jessica Mulligan took worthy stabs at it. But the MMO died and social media took center stage. Hard to sell a publisher on the subject of the MMO alas.
Usually that's a dsync thing, I think, that I'm not exactly sure how it works. Used to be uppercut, mixed with medium attack would do that. I got hit with ele weapon, 4x, a proc, and an execute in 1s on my screen.
There is a few ways to do it sorc, DK, 2h skills, and NB, you basically use proc sets, a delayed skill , HA/LA with a direct damage skill and they all can hit within the same GCD
@@MarkHoover-dv7mfit's more likely to all come together under lag or dsyncs but it can be done under normal condition too you just have to have skill knowledge and good rng with proc/critical all hitting at once
I don't take hatewhisper seriously, but it's unfortunate that there are always a few bad actors in any community who damage the entire game with such actions. I can always laugh it off when players accuse me of being a cheater. I've invested thousands of euros in this game, so I'm not going to risk a ban over something so trivial. Great video!
This is such a great video and highlights the massive player problem we have in eso. I play on NA and it seems like these issues are over on EU too, hope zenimax starts taking their own policy’s seriously
I personally love when a PvE player says they reported you for killing them in either imperial city or the various towns in cyrodil and are questing. I’m sorry but being killed by a player in a PvP zone even if you are just completing pve quests is not a reportable offense even if they keep killing you over and over. It may be that you as a pve player are just the only other player they can kill so of course they will capitalize on killing you as much as they can for either Ap or telvar.
@@Degonyte which ends up with them usually wiping because unlike PVE the tank has no power over me! I simply wait until they are the last one standing and usually they either give up trying to rez the group, or die because I kept cc’ing them every chance I got until they ran out of recourses until they die.
@@shadowasrial2158 Oh yeah, the only time I ever sent someone something that could be remotely classified as a hatewhisper was when I sent 'Nice try' to a PVE'er who had tried to 3v1 me after I had previously ignored them, which of course resulted in their rapid demise.
I would not steady chance with somebody who can throw their skills in milliseconds and have nothing for self defence.TTK in ESO pvp is shit and in this case i can't have fun by just stupidly dying to them and being robed of my tel var. Also tea bagging is another thing why people report as it is considered as act of humiliation.
Just because they are good at it doesnt automaticially means they cheat thats the thing you can see in cmx or even see the consistenty of it but something like blood for blood is easily cancelable
Really well made video! Someone once threatened to land a plane on my head irl.. I reported them with a screenshot and they are still running around in game! 😳
It's rare to have a PvP raid as a DD without getting at least one of these whispers. Recently I killed someone who looked like they were afk, only for their salty whisper to come through the moment they died. 10/10 moment. Also I love that I recognised those serial reporters instantly
Some players have been cheating in the past and were banned. There was a cheat where on the client side you could adjust settings that on paper aren't noticeable.
I really love what you said. It’s the most Terrifying, horrible part of playing ESO. It’s almost like a fanatical witchhunt in which we live in Salem. And anyone who accuses you have power over you. I have never cheated and I played from day one and I’ve seen lots and lots of cheating, exploits, etc. and it’s terrible, but all games have it.
LMAO, good video, in my experience the people that usually send the most hate tells and are generally toxic are usually the people playing the meta OP classes, mainly nightblade and sorc mains who develop a god complex while playing said classes that are so strong that when they do happen to die in pvp they tend to send hate whispers and hackusations because to them dying to anything in pvp while playing those classes is unthinkable, especially when its to a class thats generally deemed the weaker class.
I’ve heard from people that they know for a fact, people are indeed cheating and I’m not talking about people who just randomly accuse players who are better than them. These players were very good and there friends have specifically said they do use some sort of cheat. However the most common from what I’ve heard is people using all mundus stones and using PvE and overland buffs in cyrodiil. But take everything I say with a pinch of salt because I have no absolute proof of it. All I can say is that the best players won’t use cheats if they exist
As a relatively new player I've never been accused of cheating or even tried to cheat myself. I get killed a lot in pvp but that's just part of the game. I understand that as you play more you get more experience and learn to get better. The main problem is we as a society overall have lost a lot of our manners. Growing up before the internet users had so much dominance in daily life you had to know how to be polite and have at least some good manners. We need to take our losses as well as our wins in stride and be less emotional about our hobbies and game play.
3 Major cheat exploits DO need to be addressed. 1- Q out of imperial city at any moment without any penalty. 2- Scribing skills pulling players into enemy safe area getting insta killed. 3- Lightning staff Tri-focus heavy attack hitting Players with the splash dmg after hitting ads or bosses. This Tri-focus bug insta kills any player that comes nearby another enemy player heavy attacking ads, somehow the game reads the splash damage done to players without the pvp damage down penalty. In other words, players are being hit like if they were pve ads and with a pve heavy attack build, any player within the splash area will damage them by up to 35k, maybe more.
that would be the empower buff, from what I understand tri focus just gives the heavy attack an aoe effect of the damage done, since empower increases the damage by 70% to monsters this wont work against players but because it was used against a monster empower applies to monster > tri focus takes that damage and applies it to everything. more oversight than an exploit since it is working as intended, at least how it reads on paper.
I've been around long enough now to say i have come across many people that actually do cheat on multiple accounts as well as every new exploit that is found you can guarantee certain individuals will be using them. Whenever we see them on any of the accounts that have been verified and confirmed by multiple sources on we just tend to ignore them an take the fights elsewhere and they soon get bored with nobody to fight. Although on another note when the unlimited meteor was in the game that shit was pure cancer at the same time funny until you ran into a group doing it then was too much lol
Most of the time is just casuals do not understand game mechanics. Most common one encountered is they do not know proc sets and skills enough to realise you can align them to all hit within 2 second window time frame. Second one is they do not understand well enough how buff and debuff as well as stats optimisation can min max your character to be both tanky and deal decent damage, while their poorly put together toon gets obliterated within 5 seconds. 3rd is they do not play all class and hence gets hard countered without even realising they got completely out classed when fighting in and against certain situations.
This is actually another problem because some guilds actually do that kind of thing and the number of reports leads zos judge the accusations to be true. And, all things considered, reporting system in eso is quite poor as it’s inefficient and hard to use for the general playerbase but at the same time easily exploitable by people with issues who are hell bent on banning someone
It's even more frightening to know that if enough salt comes together, they can all spam report a player and likely get them suspended or banned due to ZOS's shoddy at best support team. It would be a benefit for the entire community if people stopped sending in false reports for silly things like hackusating so that the support team could focus in on actual rulebreakers/obvious report targeting instead of having to sift through little johnny's hackusations.
As a console/pvp main, i cannot recall any deaths where the reason for my death was a "cheat". excluding and huge lag related issues (which are rare these days), i estimate that 1/3 of my deaths are from getting outplayed with the remainder being from an error on my part (standing in stupid/not realizing plaguebreak on me etx). Cyrodiil zone chat being utterly toxic (especially to less experienced players) so i do worry about new players getting into pvp.
Funny because I'm dealing with the same problem on red dead. Being called a cheater when I don't cheat. I have my builds surrounding my deadeyes and mainly I'm running a DPS build and the ones who lose to me badly instead of getting a gg it's "how much did that account cost?" Or "you're cheating." Or even "reported for cheating." I fought against cheaters before especially the ones with scripts, all that did for me was improve my PVP skills even greater. If they couldn't even barely stand going up against me. Then when they finally actually fight a cheater they will get torn apart. It's not our fault some of these players suck at PVP but then yet they wanted to start the fight between us decent players just to get their butts kicked. Hell even someone on discord said that I was using aim bot but the only aiming I was using was the in game aiming through the options menu where I set my settings to my liking. Other than that. That's it. I have no special remote, no special device and no special settings for my console. But hey my only advice that I can give them is "find out which deadeye works for you and make a build out of it." For someone who would rather start a fight with me I wouldn't help become better. Unless if would ask me to help them fight better in a spar before they pulled the trigger.
I think the problem stems from FPS shooters, there is what can best be described as an epidemic of cheaters in FPS shooters and it’s not unrealistic in games like escape from Tarkov / CS that you die more to cheaters than legit players, it’s not unrealistic that more than 60% of 9 person matches have at least 1 cheater, using a little binomial math this suggest that around 10% of players are cheating. People then come to ESO, die without knowing how, and just assumes that things are the same. In ESO cheating is almost always gold related (dupe gltiches, bot farming). People don't care enough to cheat in ESO, which is also a little sad in itself.
There is virtually no risk for a new player to get a cheat threat. The 1337 gankers don't let them alive long enough to even try to kill anyone. That, I would say is a problem actually.
On playstation with recording of game play being an immediate thing through share button. Sometimes you'll see things that looks like cheating from their end when it's just hardware lag. As in you turn around and see 5 abilities and tons of light attacks in a split second. A night blade from stealth doing an incap 2 abilities and a heavy in a split second from behind you.
I will say, switching alliances to leak movements of other teams isn’t “technically” cheating, but it’s pretty dirty. It’s one of the many reasons alliance locked is the most active PvP.
Very few people actually do this, though. The reality is that the movements of most guilds in Cyrodiil is painfully easy to predict. If an AD guild takes Carmala, you can bet a fair bit of gold that they'll be at Rayles 5 minutes later to try and take back their scroll. In any case, what I talk about in the video is referring to someone who stated that playing for another alliance than the one you started with, under any circumstance, constitutes a cheat. Which is obviously a bit silly.
@@Degonyte oh yeah, definitely. And I wasn’t trying to discount what you’re saying. Just giving another perspective on the whole “alliance switching” thing.
@@Jack-The-Gamer- Yeah, there is definitely trolls out there. Like people who switch alliances to hand over scrolls. But rigid faction loyalists in this game are a different breed altogether...
you know that you have LEVELED UP when you receive cheating accusation whispers and a report threats. Never thought it would be their coping emotions hahah
Cheaters and exploiters are not banned. For proof there's many xp exploits that can help reach 3600 cp quiet easly (i'll not share them for obvious reason tho) and these are out for almost 5/6 years. Also abusing mechanics, or scripting isnt banned either, some nb on PC EU greyhost are 99% untargetable (i'm talking about stealth issue, just plain untargetable) yet been doing this for years.
I will add that reporting a player and having them blocked does not prevent you from being matched with that player in things like Random Dungeons or Battlegrounds. I had someone harassing me that I reported and blocked who I ended up in a RND with the very next day, during which they continued even with them blocked (I was in the group with a friend who was able to relay everything to me and they deliberately ran AoEs over me multiple times trying to kill me). You'd think they'd at least prevent you from being paired in limited instances with people who you've reported and blocked...
Yeah, that's a good point. Putting someone on ignore in ESO doesn't really do anything apart from preventing them from sending you messages, which is insufficient if the messages aren't the main problem. I suspect that preventing people from being grouped together requires a lot of extra tracking of individual player data, so ZOS either don't bother with it or straight-up can't do it with their technology. Be that as it may, 'put the person on ignore' as the initial response to player tickets isn't really the way to go in those cases.
Thanks to the video we watched. Now I realized when they called me a bad tank or fake tank. Idk how but I'm sure they exploit me in vet dungs to drop my block. It was my first suspicion. It's soo dumb I'm also the group team.
Thanks for letting some of us vicariously appreciate being accused of cheating :) Irritating, but as you suggest, also a compliment. Some interesting insights into the psychology of game play.
There are certain combinations that desync and make it feel like it's 5 hits in less than 2s. I've dueled friends and been able to make that happen many times.
someone explain how in one second you can be hit by 5 dizzy swings by the same person i have had alot of alot of ppl i have 80 to 100 ping to the server this is not lag on my end but how did they get 5 hits in i understnad a skill and a light attck or mabye a proc but how many times have you been hit by 5 even cyrtal farments in one second this is the the issue i end up calling someone a cheater for is when it 5 skills that only hit one time but it shows 5 attck mabye i dont know how they are doing it but thses sadly are confusing things the game does not make clear someone i see alot of procs and i read the tooltip this happen for someone build for warden nunatck hiting in 2 second 40 provc felt really werid till i seting his build it jsut seemed borkeing based on tooltip
Yeah i totally get what you are saying, when the tooltip showing how you die says you were hit by their skill or proc for 5 or more times but they killed ya in just 2-3 seconds at the most...those skills and procs shouldn't be allowed to hit from just 1 person that many times due to global cooldown being 1 second for each skill ability and for some procs should only hit once in 2 seconds. The game is showing it as either cheating or the game is showing it wrong. Either way it isn't a fair fight when someone can kill others instantly without even them having 1 whole second to cast anything, and even worse when game claims they got 5-20 attacks on you in that 1 second of actual time...and I am not even talking about a ganker.
@@bookmagic9641 Death recap is highly inaccurate. What you are talking about sounds like lag, and for any sus concerning fights use "combat metrics" addon and type /cmx if you wish accuracy of what REALLY happend to you in that 1 second. Zos only shows you what killed you last, and even that is half biased. So any complaints coming based on the death recap cannot be taken seriously.
@@Dark-Eminence I use combat metrics and the deathrecap add-on that shows everything...and yeah there are cheaters. The toxic player will insult, intimidate or criticize someone who is playing better than them, no matter in a group or in pvp. Players who are toxic should be banned, report them and block them, because they are playing to ruin other players experience. Good players should be thanked, complimented and even become friends, only the elite wont share help or assist for fear of giving info.
I do not consider elite the players who "hide" their info. True elites share precisely because they are competitive enough to enjoy more competition coming their way and push towards that improvement which can only happen when playing with equally skilled players. The faster you get a player near /towards your level, the sooner you will have the needed competition to improve more. The more you "hide", the more you stagnate, and one day someone will eventually "out-elite" you ( if that is even a term) .
Can't stand all those players who report you and try to get you banned for just playing the game.. The worst part is that ZOS takes it seriously and actually DOES ban players for the most frivolous BS. Like someone T-bagging in PvP....
I feel like I have run into quite a few players who legitimately use lag switches because I will have little or no lag fighting other people, but then that guy, or those guys, come around and suddenly my performance goes out the window. Also I’ve fought many guys who despite what character they play on do insane damage, never run out of resources, and take little to no damage to where it takes 10 ppl just to kill one guy and not because of kiting or other legitimate strategies, but simply the insane healing and never running out of resources, along with the dmg reduction and damage they deal I just seriously find sus. I have played every class in the game on many different builds and never get the results some of the guys I fight get.
This indeed is an issue I ran into myself several times and never quite knew how to "translate". General smooth gaming conditions, zero lag even among big crowds, overall things go well, then that ONE player ( sometimes two, but never more than 3) show up in an organized group or some 1vsX semblance, and nothing triggers anymore. You just sit there clicking the buttons which only moments ago worked fine, and they do nothing. And the most peculiar thing I experienced in similar situations were all my skills greyed out... quite literally. No animation on me, I would block, roll - dodge and break-free ( about the only things I can do to "unlock" from whatever may be on me!?) - and still - all grey. Probably another would die already just for sitting there in things thrown on them, I happen to be able to survive a bit and notice all of this (before I inevitably meet my own demise for in the end the lag is so big, even if skills look working, they would still delay considerably to trigger). The greyed out skills are perhaps about 1,2 seconds, then they look normal again but this... has happend to me. And it's the only thing idk quite how to understand. If anyone has an answer I will happily read it, ty! And to conclude this (rather long - apologies) description of facts, for it has crossed my mind that perhaps I have been playing for too long and the lag just "piled up" and happend then. What one would normally do is restart ( game/pc) and start all over again. But I confess I was sometimes bored to do it, and just moved on to another place for a few minutes only to notice my performace went back to good again in that same session! Which - naturally - leads to the question of "why only around certain players"? As for big heals with great res sustain and a good combo, taking 10 ppl to barely put one person down - that for me is just a good player on a good class with the right sets which probably "kills" just through one combo while being highly optimized for survivability. If the combo kills, I consider that type of player good, if it doesn't (and for the most part it doesn't!), just waste of time type. To reach this level of survivability one usually piles up defenssive sets, with great res pools and recoveries, and knows the class well enough to trigger what for many may indeed be a lethal combo (and if you run with under 30k health, most combos are lethal these days). And I agree with the video - I do not support hate tells, and also think the cheating accusations are way above the actual state of things ( why, these days it is "cheating" to be attacked from 2 sides! you will hear "green" or "purple" or "orange" alliance often - depends on which side you play), just because the map is a circle! But on a side note, I did happen to witness opening a keep of a certain colour ( will not mention which to not offend anyone) - but find inside group from the other colour ( we all oppose 2 colours yes? ) - defending. And no they were not attacking (inner was intact and group had no siege there) - they sat on mg waiting for us to open, while the keep owners were sieging from walls outside ( at us- attacking). The inside was kept clean for the defenders. Clearly working together. Again, not a cheat, but neither fair-play imo.
Actually, there is still an add-on, miat pvp alerts. It's prohibited by ZOS, but it still works. For example, people start dodging and rolling, when a nightblade starts casting bow spammable "snipe" from 40 meters away and in sneak. He cannot see you, but he gets a notification of casting. Not only snipe. Javelin, dark flare also. And yeah, sometimes we in our small PvP discord get a hand on some s-tier players macros. Via some mutual friends, who used to play in this s-tier premade groups. And what about holding heavy attack while casting snipe and releasing them both at the same moment, bypassing GCD? But, all in all, the game is poorly balanced, so some tanky boys can in a duo wipe 5-6 people groups. Or just infinitely survive. And also have burst potential. I just saw such a duet in Cyro last night. Sometimes it is so frustrating, I mean. And there is little to no progression curve or guides to become like those godlike players. We, mostly casual PvPers are doomed to be cannon fodder because of not knowing those s-tier dirty secrets.
Miats addons exist, but that functionality is in the vanilla game. If you're out of combat and someone casts a ranged skill with travel time at you, then the combat music will start playing before the ranged skill reaches you. The further away, the more time you have to react. I've never used a miat addon, but I'm often able to do this, and it's annoying to think people will assume I'm cheating. Also light and heavy attacks are on a separate GCD to skills. And ultimates also have their own GCD. So it's possible to cast a light attack, skill and ultimate in 1s, without cheating or exploiting. Misinformation and misunderstanding is part of the problem.
@@FriedEgg101 there is literally another youtuber who does bow heavy+snipe . Heavy. + Snipe. And ofc in the middle of a fight dude always dodges javelin, while not even facing me with no chance to see it coming. Even a weaving macros saves a lot of brain energy and attention. There is also an ild video here, on TH-cam, where a player hits the dummy without and with macros. Just LA+Skill macro. There are also d-swing - medium macros. Not gonna lie, all this small problems are nothing, compared to class balance issues, for example. I spent too much time and money to just drop the game. But it starts to look like skam more and more.
@@repomang and you can press "block" to cancel your snipe. Yet the enemy starts to roll or block, despite nothin actually was casted, and you were 40m away
In the time I played pvp as main content, I saw very less "cheaters". Like 99% you are just not that good and thats why you are dead. But some dudes can really breaking the game with dodging and blocking to the exact perfect time every ult from 10 players are droped. That was the hardest "cheat" I saw so far, 2 dudes surviving every ult they got hit by and doing good combs. It was clearly not possible to dodge or block all ults, but they managed it to have 100% of ult blocking or dodging from up to 10 players. Beside that I didnt noticed any cheaters in the game so far.
I commented before the video was finished... But my best rage whisper came from Law Dog and lasted 4 days... I kited him up a tower so we'd have some alone time and he couldn't beam me from behind his group... It lasted 3-4 seconds and he was waiting to respawn... 🤣🤣🤣 He was so mad, he was misspelling words and making no sense at all... That went on for 4 days... It was wonderful...
Tgis definitely happens but its not as common on console from my experience. That being said ive seem people be accused of lag switching, and I've also been sent a lot of messages calling me a bad person for being "immortal" when playing on a damage reduction ficused necro build.
Careful how you reply to the /whispers. I got a 3 day ban for replying "Zos says I shouldn't worry because your salty you can't get gud . To be fair, I started all my replies with Bless your heart.

Depends, if you only call "cheating" - many may in fact believe you. Context does matter. Even here, when sharing. Now you said "I hope it is obvious I am joking" - but what should make that obvious, is not seen , so ... yeah.
The problem with eso is that there is no incentive to get better. So you have garbage players repeating garbage accusations that they hear from other garbage players. I've gotten these messages countless times across the years. Both on Xbox and pc. And I have never, ever, fought a player 1v1 or outnumbered that I thought was cheating.
I just nod my head and smile when I get called a cheater or trash or trash can or bot... This is an emotional sweat's way of acknowledging through denial that you fucked them up... 😂😂😂 As a NB main, I love it...
I agree with most of your views, however as an older player your wrong about us just thinking that something is a cheat because we didn't know it was in the game. As far as the whispers, it's just whining wiper snappers 😅. I don't respond or report as it just isn't worth my time. I play to enjoy the game and not worry about making someone feel better about the lack of abilities.
Just to be sure, I am not saying all or even most older ESO players are like this. I know plenty who aren't. I have just noticed this particular 'subset' of whiners who usually fit a profile: older, lead zergs or zerg guilds, very vocal about how they think others should play the game, not very aware of what is possible in the game. I know a handful of players who fit this description to a tee and they're the ones who came to mind when I described this type of player.
I play on PC NA. I was horsing across Alessia bridge a guy ran past me up the hill and was gone in 2-3 second I talked in discord to my group he arrived at sej as I was commenting. We all reported him. As for getting messages I get dm all the time. A gankers life.
I think what's ruining Cyrodill is this practice of "Farming" newer or inexperienced players. I think that's what's driving new players away from PvP in general. Imagine logging in and getting out of the base only the be killed instantly. So perhaps you try later in the day or another day completely, and it still happens. You try stealth, but they have detection potions. As a new player what's the point of playing Cyrodill when you're just being "farmed" by a guild of players. I know it's not cheating, and I don't accuse folks doing that of cheating. But if the goal is to get newer players into Cyrodill, this kills that instantly. Once a player has a sour taste of that part of the game, it's near impossible to bring them back.
Well - from own experience ( similar to yours) as a new player, I would suggest not going in places of high-tension ( where you can see marked on the map as on-going fights). In stead perhaps try a round-about approach , maybe explore some Cyro as a pve player ( get some shards, do some delves - etc) , and only "visit" the action hubs, preferably from inside, observe from safety ( totally possible) , because it is not all just about builds and "muscles". Try a siege ,repair, help from the side, before going forth into battle! That will leave a sour taste indeed! (until it doesn't :P) .
lol. i use summoning sets. when dueling, i often get called a cheater for having my personal mobs going after them along with my bear (i'm a warden). i don't nothing wrong. i simply use totaly legit sets (which aren't the best). other times, i get called a cheater for summoning my bear nonstop, as the other player kill it. it the warden's ult. it as zero cost. of course i'll summon it again, if it's killed. there's also those calling me a cheater in cyrodil for pushing them off the bridge, letting the piranhia kill them. the bow skill that push players away is perfectly legit, and so is it's destro staff equivalent. there's also the players calling me a cheater because i killed them which they were talking to npc (doing quests). it's part of the game. why wouldn't i? still legit behavior. there are also those calling me a cheater for doing an ambush near hq gates. i fail to see how doing an ambush is cheating. from my point of view, it's a simple tactic. final exemple i can think of. those calling me cheaters only because i'm running fast. they see me going toward them, start attacking, but i don't stop and continu toward the fort which was my true destination. they think i'm a cheater for what? because i'm don't consider them as important a target as a fort? because i didn't act like a sitting duck, letting them kill me?
Ive definatley seen those who get AP boosted early on to get a large lead on leaderboard... watching those gain nearly a mil AP over the course of a couple hours... def cheating.
@@Degonyte agreed... I'm not talking about PvDooring early on... definitely seen boosting and the two players were reported. But I'm in guild where I hear some players say "cheating" or claim "macros" and those I always call out as being rediculous.

@@Degonyte They don't act on it! There's a guy on PSN EU who shamelessly boosts AP to the top of the boards every campaign, nothing, nada is done about it! He even boosts the multiple accounts he has to boost his main account!
When a player has unlimited resources, takes virtually no damage so that it takes a dozen and more players to kill AND they deal a crap ton of damage, too, you can guarantee that's a cheater. That's what I look for. Months ago, there was a guy who stayed in the keep after we took it and it took 15-20 of us to kill him. I'm not a good player, but more than a few who were there with me are good players. they didn't die, but many of us kept dying to the ONE guy and he never ran out of stam or mag. Nobody can tell me he wasn't cheating lol. The game doesn't allow enough equipment slots to have unlimited rss, high damage and high resistances.
Still doesn’t mean he cheated. I’m always shocked how bad the average cyrodiil player is. If a really good player has a really tanky build he can tank a shitload of ppl. And killing some of the chasers over and over again is piss easy. The average cyro player can be farmed even if u run in green pve gear line really…
@@MrJeppo96 whatever, lol. i run with people who get emp in Blackreach and they were there too and know about that guy in particular. so believe what you will.
A lot of your good players are really good at resource management. I.e, when they are kiting a corner, they're still heavy attacking the air because of they turn, it hits a player. Boom, you just got resources back. Or people are so focused on the player that they don't hear the sound of their potion going off. Which you can. Not taking damage is pretty simple. Just don't get hit. If you're able to kite. well, even 20k resistance will be tanky. And it's not so much they are doing a ton of damage sometimes. What it usually is is you dropped all of your buffs and aren't rotating your heals. So you're getting hit for the full damage because you don't have a single defensive buff going and the last remaining health you have left is just getting smacked. Also Emp ≠ Good players
@@missiongoalie3559 This. Being an emperor only shows the player has a load of time to farm enough ap to stay on the leaderboard. Not that it is particularly a good player too. I was almost an emperor back when I merely begun to pvp - and looking at the "me" of back then, omg what a noob I was ! Still I do have a life and after more than 6 hours in the fray ( gathering ap and running with a very helpful group from keep to keep, every hour visiting a delve for that other buff, completing what quests I could, and hoping - I had to quit!). The more I pvped, the less incentive to become an emperor I ever got, after seeing 9 out of 10 players out there being "former emperor" , but cannon fodder for life. As for hard to kill players - I also wrote a similar answer above. That health-bar really says a lot about a target. I personally if I see anything under 30k I consider it easy- target, and for the most part it is. And I am not a good player, still. But at least I can stand my ground some, and do some dmg on the side.

The real cheaters are long gone, except the "autododgers", which have been around for 2 years and use a modified version of CrutchAlerts addon to get alerts to rolldodge against players' skills in PVP.
Saying that ESO is not a competitive game threw me off instantly. Maybe not on PC where it is literally dead but on Console ESO is nothing but competition in PvP and PVE and everyone in this sickening Community is that each other's throats and no one is your ally
@Degonyte tf kind of logic is that? People create a competitive environment therefore they create a competitive game. A game as competitive as a Rainbow Six Siege or csgo could be casual FPS games if the community were casual about it. A game becomes competitive because of the community and any game that has any form of competitive aspect where one person can be better than the other gives room for a game to be competitive.
@@EXEMASTER The logic is that you might be competitive about ESO, but the game's reward structures, balancing (or lack thereof) and overall game direction do not cater towards a competitive environment. That is why every dueling tournament has a list that is literally like 4-5 pages long listing all the abilities, sets, techniques, champion points and sometimes entire classes that are not allowed to be used. Like, just as an experiment, name one single PVP achievement (title, costume, w/e) that can be used to prove a player's high level of skill.
@Degonyte all of the PVP tournaments I've been to they allow about anything that isn't metapro like tarnish nightmare and so on. Though the game does not have many PVP achievements that do take skill the ones that do from all the ones I've seen are the close call achievements the assassination achievements because killing the emperor is very hard even with a ball group because the emperor's always surrounded by a triple ball group and the quadruple kill achievement in battlegrounds. ESO is not a perfect game but it is not a flawed game and if it was not a competitive game Battlegrounds and cryodiil which are the most competitive places on eso. You do not understand how toxic cryodiil gets or how competitive it is I mean there are entire stories and wars that go on and this wouldn't exist in a non-competitive environment / game. Your entire argument is purely a fallacy or pure ignorance / lack of experience because ESO has a PVP side to it therefore by absolute definition of competitive it is a competitive game because people are competing against each other to be the strongest and sure there are no PVP orientated rewards for being the best that is not stop people from being at each other's throats and starting entire Wars thus your argument is a fallacy built upon a lack of experience with the game.
@@EXEMASTER You are typing a lot but misunderstand my point entirely. Listen again to the context in which I say ESO is not a competitive game. I say it to indicate the risk/reward ratio of cheating in ESO makes it relatively unattractive. You gain very little, apart from maybe an empty victory against your rivals, and you can lose a lot if you get caught. Compare this to a game like Minecraft where cheating your way to a World Record without getting caught is something you can build an actual career on. The point of what I was saying is that ESO's endgame community is small, as is the reputation gain from cheating your way to the 'top', whatever the top in this game even is. A handful of people having overblown beefs with each other in Cyrodiil does not equal a competitive community. There is no reason to get hung-up on the semantics of the word 'competitive' and throw weird pot shots at my presumed lack of experience when you just listen to what I say. And no, those achievements you named are not impressive at all.
Honestly my youtube account is gonna get suspended if I post the craziest whispers I ever got on ESO, I can send you the screenshots on Discord though, do you have a server I can join?

hmm i definitely agree on the reportet guy haha Some people don't understand the buffs obviously & have had poor teachers & the game should explain it better tbh, I agreed with you up until you started talking about bypassing global cool downs.. which is a common excuse that people use when using the biggest cheating device that's plagued every game since it released, Actual cheaters on all platforms of eso use it because they want a perfect rotation in pve & pvp can auto heal etc all sorts lol Surprised it wasn't mentioned here tbh not saying you use it at all for a cheater video 100% should have been mentioned though!
None of the players who the featured whispers were directed at use such a device, and the few people out there who possibly employ such methods can get away with it in part because these accusations get thrown at everyone and everything. Boy that cried wolf and all.
@Degonyte I guess so.. someone on ep should help that reportet guy understand the buffs especially group buffs, He even called me a cheater when in our ball group & I'm the most anti cheat on any game type ever! Despise people that cheat! Cheating also comes in many forms though on eso people are so petty like really really petty try gang up on people because alot of which don't even play the game properly in general.. different alliances form alliances via discord & because cyrodiil crates a hivemind playstyle it also creates a hive mindset, upset 1 upset 30 on each alliance that only wanna kill you etc & constantly team anyway possible to do it xbox was really bad for that lol I've had people from my own Alliance stand next to our ball group so others can proc him & kill us bozos forgot about the killfeed though & I screenshotted it each time always found his way next to our group when that group kept proc'ing him which in turn killed us lol emp boosters, teamers all sorts I've encountered personally cheating accusations from inexperienced players isn't even that bad compared imo haha

Thats a pretty informative video you’ve made, profound and in depth explanation. My advice regarding your methods on obtaining the necessary data to support your problem feels lack-clustered and I would suggest you do a more inclusive method of gaining evidence of these people who wrongly accuse others of cheating. Like conducting a cross-sectional data on both NA and EU servers to obtain better results or perhaps do a controlled longitudinal experiment, say give it 6 months, and then do your analyses and findings as well as perhaps even cover up the gaps and limitations of your findings. Nonetheless, this was a very good video! ❤
@@Degonyte I remember back in the days, people would actually go so far as to humiliate your name across different guilds just because they think you're a hacker and they're just in denial that you're way better than them.
Such a cluster of words from a lackluster mind! I do believe I heard somewhere in the video the mention of "years" regarding this problem, with a raise in recent times. And do you know what was not as much profound, and perhaps not even too in depth about it? The simple, and yet JUST request from the accusers to explain more in detail their accusations! Imagine performing a cross-platform examination between not only servers but also pc/gaming platforms with commonly collected data from multiple players which share clear evidence of their accusations, with in depth explanation as to their statements ! Perhaps you should start such a group yourself? Since you seem so keen in giving advice! And maybe make it a whole year - to cover both MyM events and potential updates.
@@XenoVerse888 I still see this practice, though I doubt it is cheating connected/shaming as more to what I like to call "personal vendettas". I find it a bit silly tbh, but to each their own. It is a game after all and perhaps some players are indeed children who know no better.

I think the main cheating bugs you’ll see are keyboard binding to instances in the game, or controllers that are coded to do certain things. For instance in PvP having an instant break free, automatic blocking in between skills and weaving better inputs can give you an advantage. But it won’t outright save you against any skilled player.

Interesting. Where can I read more about this?

I personally love when a PvE player says they reported you for killing them in either imperial city or the various towns in cyrodil and are questing. I’m sorry but being killed by a player in a PvP zone even if you are just completing pve quests is not a reportable offense even if they keep killing you over and over. It may be that you as a pve player are just the only other player they can kill so of course they will capitalize on killing you as much as they can for either Ap or telvar.
And, often, when those same players outnumber you by a big enough amount, they will magically turn into PVP'ers and try to swarm you.
@@Degonyte which ends up with them usually wiping because unlike PVE the tank has no power over me!
People and their EGO is the worst thing on this world.
Keep playing and spread more about those manners! It IS needed!
100% percent hate people combat logging in IC just take the death like a man
that would be the empower buff, from what I understand tri focus just gives the heavy attack an aoe effect of the damage done, since empower increases the damage by 70% to monsters this wont work against players but because it was used against a monster empower applies to monster > tri focus takes that damage and applies it to everything. more oversight than an exploit since it is working as intended, at least how it reads on paper.
@@jpwashere2868 kinda ok if the fight was fair to play and not somebody is nuking people for a fast kill

But remember he will talk with Gina about it! 💀
3rd is they do not play all class and hence gets hard countered without even realising they got completely out classed when fighting in and against certain situations.
we send from 5 guilds
talk to gm in the morning?
Thank you for standing up and speaking FACTS.
There is virtually no risk for a new player to get a cheat threat. The 1337 gankers don't let them alive long enough to even try to kill anyone. That, I would say is a problem actually.
It literally takes 2 minutes to find cheats for ESO with up to date comments saying it still works.
Try them and see how long you last.

Thanks for letting some of us vicariously appreciate being accused of cheating :)
Irritating, but as you suggest, also a compliment. Some interesting insights into the psychology of game play.
ZOS rules are completely subjective and up to whatever they think at any one moment..
Please use punctuation because I can't read this man, sorry.
If you want more proof of cheating in the game, check out JTK's 2 videoes on the many different varieties of cheating that has happened in the past for the game and can still happen in the game from the company that sells cheats for ESO. Like duh.
When I get 1 animation on me but my death cap shows 6 attacks, I feel like they are cheating
My reason for cheating didn't show up so I will add it to your list. You are hitting all your Light attack's
Definitely grounds for a permaban, that.
jigetus 12:46 ??
Only a cheater would make a video like this.
You got me.
Yup you're right I've seen some guys that we hit them but there health remains the same .
And here I’m getting band for calling goblins names
It is so good to recive msg like that... but i just recive a few, Im not that good xD
Keep improving and you might too might be considered to be a cheater one day!
Snipe you can hear before it hits you
@@repomang and you can press "block" to cancel your snipe.
He saw me in a big after I told him in a TH-cam video that he wasn't the best player as he claims...
Lol. Sounds like healthy behavior alright.
greatings from an old eu player that just will play pvp for ever so long eso exist
Sad
the average german hatewhisper killed me 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I’ve played ESO for a bit. I still don’t know a ton and haven’t even TOUCHED PVP. Idk if it’s even worth it unless you have ESO plus (which I don’t)
Someone once told me that 'bless your heart' is Southern US slang for telling someone to get f'd, so maybe customer support caught on to that.
But seriously, support often seems totally random with who they do/don't punish.
@@Degonyte ya I know. I would also get a 72 hr vaca in wow for telling hate whispers to go find their hand.
Listening to the gun slinger series from Steven King gave me a lot of ammo when posting replies to hate.
@@Degonyte The "bless your heart" is what sweet Southern women tell dummies when they say something dumb. It's akin to saying, "I'm sorry you're dumb." I've lived in Texas for more than 60 yrs now, and I've been married to one of those "sweet Southern women" for 35 years. She has nvr said it to mean 'get f'd.'
@@jimmy2745 Heh, the general gist of it was that it's negative, and not about actually blessing one's heart, which is what I was getting at.
I call out cheating in chat, but I hope that I do it in a way that comes across that I'm obviously joking.
Wow I can't wait to get good enough in pvp to be accused of cheating.
reportet
They (ZOS) should just fire all of their spaghetti coders.
I know a handful of players who fit this description to a tee and they're the ones who came to mind when I described this type of player.
holy shit so fly hack in cyro is real
i came across one before and i thought i was just lagging
I know it’s my fault but I refuse to make detect pots I just stick to mass producing tri stat and get mad when I can’t find nbs hiding
It's the auto dodge that pisses me off. Also cross healing is op lol. Ball groups are way to good.
I once beaten a fly hacker in Imperial city (video on my channel as proof), usualy blantant cheaters are not the problem because they are bad. :)
Ive definatley seen those who get AP boosted early on to get a large lead on leaderboard... watching those gain nearly a mil AP over the course of a couple hours... def cheating.
AP boosting is against TOS, zerging an empty map at the start of a campaign isn't.
@@Degonyte agreed... I'm not talking about PvDooring early on... definitely seen boosting and the two players were reported. But I'm in guild where I hear some players say "cheating" or claim "macros" and those I always call out as being rediculous.
@@TheBigOBob Yeah I really hate AP boosting, but luckily it can be proven pretty easily. Caught a few players doing that myself. ZOS also acts on this stuff from what I've seen.
@@Degonyte yup... that person was removed from the leaderboard the next day as we had taken clips when we reported it.
@@Degonyte They don't act on it! There's a guy on PSN EU who shamelessly boosts AP to the top of the boards every campaign, nothing, nada is done about it! He even boosts the multiple accounts he has to boost his main account!
Reportet cheater i got all on vid 🐸
I have never sent messages but i have reported all of the cheaters i have seen, most of them were not in pvp though.
They stopped being mean to me ever since this occurence. They are quiet as hell now! Holy goodness! But i can tell they want to say something to me in group dungs. You just feel who they are. Cause you get harrassed soo many times.
The worse whisper msg i got was a threat msg about my friend in game. He said something of he didnt want him alive irl. That he hopes he will... etc. I wouldnt say it. I didn't report. I was thinking eso was just a bad social game for mature audiences.
Ive recently heard about Rich, the eso dev. They are negatively impacting reverse merhod of workplace. Its nothing of how youd improve. They obscure that developer.
The real cheaters are long gone, except the "autododgers", which have been around for 2 years and use a modified version of CrutchAlerts addon to get alerts to rolldodge against players' skills in PVP.
imagine putting cp in "slippery" lol
How did you get this TH-cam video uploaded so fast. You must be cheating lollolol
I had this video ready a week ago but TH-cam servers lagged.
Saying that ESO is not a competitive game threw me off instantly. Maybe not on PC where it is literally dead but on Console ESO is nothing but competition in PvP and PVE and everyone in this sickening Community is that each other's throats and no one is your ally
The fact that many people are competitive does not mean that the game is.
And no, those achievements you named are not impressive at all.
we got to report those people !!! They killing this beautiful game ! cuz i know some people using Macro

hmm i definitely agree on the reportet guy haha Some people don't understand the buffs obviously & have had poor teachers & the game should explain it better tbh, I agreed with you up until you started talking about bypassing global cool downs.. which is a common excuse that people use when using the biggest cheating device that's plagued every game since it released, Actual cheaters on all platforms of eso use it because they want a perfect rotation in pve & pvp can auto heal etc all sorts lol Surprised it wasn't mentioned here tbh not saying you use it at all for a cheater video 100% should have been mentioned though!

Hilarious.
I alliance swap all the time. I don't spy for any alliance.
i get killed alot in pvp, I don't accuse them of cheating. I just kindly say nice kill.
Only positive things with sucking at PvP. I never get accused of cheating. 😛
