Yeah the shop I work in the pouches are about £1.39 I think. So it works out cheaper getting the box ! Unfortunately Bella is a bit funny with blink. One min she will eat it and the next she will refuse it to it. I’ve worked out she’s happy to eat it every once in a while but she doesn’t want it everyday. Cats a fussy little things! Blink is such a good food though I would deffo recommend it to anyone. It’s good stuff with no nasties ! 💕
I love these videos so much!! Got a kitten a month ago and I love reading all the food labels and picking the best food for him. I feel like there isn’t that much variety for kittens but it’s still fun to try new stuff.
I completely agree with you ! There’s not a huge amount out there for kittens. 1 it’s hard to find good quality food 2 some brands only have one or two flavours 😅 this is why I ended up feeding Bella a handful of brands so she couldn’t get some variety.
The best brands for kittens are untamed. They can eat all the flavours of the gravy & jelly tins. Blink has a nice selection of kitten flavours & they can have some of the adult too. ( it shows you on the website). Katkin all the flavours are find for kittens apart from baa & pink. (They recently moved kitchen so not all the flavours are currently available but they have a lot)
I feed my cat Untamed too! Not the fish ones obviously, just the chicken ones. I also feed him another brand called Canagan. Well done you for feeding your cat so well! Bella is beautiful! 😻💗
Oh Canagan is a good one! I tried her on it a few months ago when she got so fussy and refused to eat any fish ! So I had to see our brands that sold chicken food that she liked.
Canagan and a few other brands will make it into my next food haul. Every few weeks her diet changes a little because cats can become rather fussy so I always like to have a bit of variety 💕

Thanks so much for the videos! I've had my ragdoll kitten for almost two weeks now and these food videos have been such a great guidance! She is also eating blink and untamed right now with a once-a-week canagan treat (highly recommend trying it but it's very pricey but they have tons of flavours). Bella has grown sooooo much and she looks so healthy and cute
Oh how exciting! How old is you kitten ? They grow so fast every month they just get bigger & bigger haha now that Bella is a little over a year old she’s not growing as fast however her fur is starting to get so much darker now. She’s just because more & more beautiful as time goes on !
I have actually heard of that brand and I’ve been meaning to try it ! They have a variety of really interesting flavours. I’m deffo going to make an online order at some point to try and get my hands on some.

@@malicahamilton She is 14 weeks old at this time! And yes, they get big sooooo fast hahahaha. Dawn already is double, maybe triple the size she was when I got her. Their furs really change so much over time! It's so fascinating to see.
I get my order from the Canagan website directly, I haven't really seen it on any big pet stores but maybe there might be some that do stock it. It's definitely worth giving a shot, Dawn has outgrown many brands by now but Canagan remains a hard favourite!

It’s wild how many pet companies are changing their formulas to cut costs. Shrinkflation at its best.
Last year whiskas went from their pouches being about 100g to something like 85g and they kept the price the same 😅 I never buy that stuff but it’s crazy.

Malica, would you mind telling me some more wet foods please? I need to know what else I can feed my ragdoll at the morning and in the afternoon as her main meal, I’ve heard they need more wet food. So I’d like if you could write when to give her the right treats and which ones, when to give her food, which food that I can give at what time for the different ages Bella has been through, and just a detailed explanation but it doesn’t have to be long! If you could do it, thanks a bunch! ❤❤
Hey !
In terms of a feeding schedule it kinda depends on your routine. I work 5 days a week so I feed Bella once I get up at 6am and then again at 6pm when I’m home. On my days off I stick to the same routine. Cats a very clever and they know exactly when they are due to be fed if you stick to the same times each day.
It’s best to feed a diet of mostly or all wet food if possible. So 2 - 3 times a day depending on how much your cat weighs and how much they can eat in a day.
If you’re in the UK the brands of food I recommend are Nature’s variety , Applaws , untamed , blink , encore , Canagan , Acana , wellness core , Katkins , Hilife , natures menu & Lily’s kitchen. Stay away from brands such as whiskas , Felix , webbox etc. Treats are not too bad because you’re only feeding a few but I would stay away from those brands in terms of wet & dry food.
If you’re unsure whether a brand of wet food is healthy look at the ingredients and if the first ingredient is animal derivatives then it’s low quality food. The first ingredient should be e.g chicken followed by the percentage of the meat.
As for treats I give Bella about 6 a day & before dinner she gets one lickie licks. Most packs of treats have a recommended daily amount. The one she gets the most are these really good quality ones from nature’s menu and I’m pretty sure the packet recommendations 6 pieces.

Aww that’s good ! Sadly Bella doesn’t like blink anymore but it’s a very good quality food to give to cats if they do like it. There’s alot of different flavours to choose from and it’s not bad priced either ☺️💕
I’m a little confused id love your input please! I’ve been read watching different cat foods and things my cat needs and grain free seems to be a healthier option however without grain most cats get a taurine deficiency and grain free is also greatly associated with heart disease so I’m unsure what to do? She has cat sprinkles on top of all her food that’s got added taurine and is grain free but I don’t know what to buy for her pouches and biscuits. She’s currently having purina indoor cat biscuits and purina gourmet intense pouches I know they’re not the healthiest options but I’ve tried her on so many things she’s so picky!!! Please any advice would be great!
So the Applaws food I feed does actually have rice in it ! It’s meat , Broth and a small bit of rice. Some cat foods are complementary and others are complete. So the ones that are complete have all the added minerals etc. it’s fine to feed complementary foods as long as their diet also contains some complete foods so they are not deficient in something. The fry food I feed is grain free as cats done need huge amounts of grains and a lot of cheap brands just fill their dry food with mostly grains because it’s cheap but very unhealthy. Cats are also very picky they also go through phases so I try and offer a few different flavours and textures to mix it up a bit 💕
Hello i have a question so ive been feeding my 8 month old kitten felix but i want to change it i feel like the tins are not enough for my kitten eat i haven’t tried them yet my kitten only eats fish because we aren’t allowed to touch chicken beef or pork since its haram so could i get a recommendation on which cat food is good for my kitten it needs to be a full meal thou

Kittens eat more than adult cats so they might eat 3 - 4 tins or pouches a day.
Cats cannot just live off fish that’s very dangerous and your cat will develop health issues due to some serious deficiencies. When cats are kittens they are limited to mostly just tuna , salmon , chicken and turkey however once they are 1+ they can eat a bigger variety of food. Cats diets should consist of much more chicken than it does fish they shouldn’t even really have fish daily.
You’re also feeding Felix which is one of the worst cat foods you could ever feed. It’s got hardly any meat in it cats need protein especially a growing kitten! The first ingredient of Felix is meat and animal derivatives which means they just blend up all parts of the animal some of which has 0 nutritional value for a cat. It’s also packed with cereals & sugar two ingredients cats don’t need in their diet.
So remember you cat cannot live off fish forever not only will your cat probably get very sick of fish and stop eating it’s basically like poison to them long term and that will mean some very expensive cat bills and your cat suffering. So do some research into why cats can’t live off just fish. 💕
What about Wild Freedom? It contains 30% more meat and more minerals than Untamed and Blink. I tried also Feringa, Lily’s Kitchen and Applaws but it contains rice.
Hey ! Just had a Google of the brand and the ingredients sound amazing. It’s got a very high meat content and it also contains organs which most tinned foods don’t. I’ve only seen it in raw food ! The wild freedom is a pate and Bella won’t eat a pate the only one she likes is the kitten Applaws ones. The Applaws tins do contain small amounts of rice I think all the flavours do. She does eat a lot of Applaws it’s one of her favourites at the moment. She prefers the tins over the pouches and she’s currently a huge fan of the fish ones especially the tuna & pawn.
Her diet seems to change every two weeks. Cats are so picky I have to keep alternating haha. So she’s got a really nice variety and I know her favourites and what she’s less likely to eat. She used to adore the chicken untamed along with the Applaws one but not she’s a bit funny with it and it was her absolute favourite.
I need to do an updated cat food haul. I’ve not done one in ages ! I’ve got a handful of new brands to mention & I’ve tried her on raw too so I should have a video out in the next few weeks 💕

Question I’m about to get a ragdoll in November and I was wondering do you cut her hair or go to a groomer or does her hair just grow that way cuz most ragdoll a I’ve seen have long hair
Ragdolls are long hair cats but in the winter they grow a thicker / longer winter coat. They start to shed that winter coat round about spring. Bella is still young and she’s not fully grown yet so that’s another reason why she’s not as fluffy just yet.
Ragdolls are beautiful cats the only downside is that they shed like crazy ! I brush her every day and get so much fur off her. You will end up with fur absolutely everywhere! All on your clothes, furniture and your eyes ! The eyes are the worst because you often can’t find it 🥲 💕

The companies make lots of food for lots of breed to make money ,all cats no matter breed need meat .i feed my cat thrive premium plus try
How did you teach her not to bite?
She does but only gently e.g when we’re playing. I guess they lean as kittens when playing with siblings what hurts and what doesn’t. ☺️
Applaws makes it kinda difficult to understand which food is additional and which is the „real deal“…
The tin or pouch will say complimentary or complete so it’s very easy to understand ☺️ 💕
@@malicahamilton really? The tins in Switzerland don‘t say that (to my knowledge) and I always have to check the website 😅 maybe you know this: can I just pair the additional wet food with the complete dry chicken food or do I need another wet food?
Oh really here in the UK there’s a mixture of complete & complimentary wet foods. Most people don’t even bother read the labels. If you’re feeding complementing wet food along with complete wet or dry food then it’s fine ☺️💕

Well she knows her name she picked up on that really quickly. It’s possible to train cats to do certain things but they are not obedient like dogs. Cats are hard to train and some breeds are smarter than others. Although Bella knows her name she won’t always come when called. I also have to have call her name a few times. When you speak to her he tail moves so that’s how you know they are listening.
Some people have taught their cats paw & fetch but it’s not something every cat will learn.
I believe Bella also understands the word No & Out. She’s also learnt to follow my finger if I point at something.
Cats love routine so Bella knows my daily routine. She knows when I get up/ when she’s getting fed. She will sometimes come up to me before it’s time to wake up. She knows when I get home from work etc. They often have a very good sense of time.
Bella Is my first cat so it took about a week to get into a little routine. After the first few weeks you should feel more confident in what your doing ☺️💕
