I agree with you. If you can, continue to make debt payments. Even though student loan payments have been put on hold until September, I'm still going to make payments. I'm taking advantage of the fact that there's 0 interest accruing right now.
Okay so i think people are being rude by saying "she needs to give that money to her mom first" and stuff. Maybe her mom makes enough money and she told her not to worry about it that she's okay with just getting the money whenever?? Like my mom always tells me to take care of my shit first and then pay her back when i can. Of course i dont borrow money from my mom anymore but she used to help me out when i was first starting out. Also I dont think people need to be mad if shes saving up for a nose job. Its no one's business and if shes unhappy with her nose then Im happy for her that shes changing it.
I agree!!! As a mom I wouldn’t want my daughter stressing to hurry to pay me back! I’d still want her to save for things she wants and needs. Are these people not parents or would they seriously be that selfish. New subscriber and Love your videos, thank you for sharing examples of REAL LIFE budgeting I think a lot of us can relate to❤️
#facts My best friend saved up for a nose job, and I supported her all the way! I even went to her house and washed her hair, etc. (Helped her out with things she couldn't do, etc.) Now, that she has passed away, I will always cherish supporting her with something that she truly wanted!
I totally agree with the envelope system. I’ve experienced first hand the benefit in my life. I’m sad that at the moment I have to use my card. Sucks! But I’m grateful my family and I are well and my husband and I are able to work from home. We’re able to pay a bit extra on debt and do a few home renos hopefully we can go back to it soon enough 🥰 take care from Brisbane, Australia 🇦🇺
Sani Laomahei I use a “digital” cash envelope system by using my primary bank for bills, I use an online bank (capital one 360) for my savings and sinking funds accounts, and an app called simple budget envelopes to keep track of my sinking funds..just throwing it out there in case you wanted to give it a try
I England we have Monzo bank that can have pots which we use for our daily "envelopes". Still prefer cash for sinking funds tho, out of sight, out of mind and also more effort to use.
OMG 🤯 i love this I think you are my spirit animal 😂😂 but on a serious note this is the first step to financial intelligence some people can never have this kind of discipline so 👏👏👏👍👌 thanks for the motivation to have more structure to my savings 😘🤗
I borrowed money from my mom and she said she won’t accept until I pay her full amount. She advices I pay my own bills first and pay her when I can. She wasn’t worry when I will pay her back. All she want me is to focus on my bills and learn on budgeting my money
I completely agree about still paying bills. I’m super blessed that I’m still getting paid and I’m continuing paying my debt especially my student loans! The fact that it’s 0% interest is HUGE and I’m taking full advantage of that because the interest before was killing me. That opportunity won’t come around again, so this is a sign for me to pay as much as I can lmao. Also, I agree once this pandemic is over I am running to the hair salon to get my hair done. I’ve been wearing a hat for a month
How much money do you owe your mom & when do you plan on paying her what you owe? Yes, your money is all over the place. I’m one of those people who must have my money all facing the same way & in order. Lol. Love seeing money being counted. I wasn’t a fan of the nose job envelope at first but you’re right, if you hadn’t been saving for it, you would have blown the money. Now if something came up & you really needed that money, you have it. Great advice on paying bills if you still have a job. I’m horrified at how many people are putting stuff in forbearance even when they have the money. Thank you.
Hey everyone hope all of you are safe out there ❤️ Thanks for the video however I would suggest any of us essential workers without a $1000 emergency fund and/or at least six months of bills saved to allocate the money you would pay for anything that’s not due until October to those savings accounts/sinking fund envelopes..if a crisis doesn’t teach us anything it should at least teach us to have something saved for a rainy day ❤️ Once the payments are due again we continue to make our on time monthly payments ❤️ get ahead
me being a 14 year old : damn thats a responsible person im trying to save to get my mom a new laptop since the old one is from like 2000, and this is honestly inspiring. I don't really have a good sister figure but watching this is like....wow
Just found your channel. Good for you saving. FYI- the dollar symbol can have 1 or 2 lines. It began with 2 to represent a U superimposed over S for United States and the bottom curve was removed. Just and interesting fact.
New subscriber here from the UK. Thoroughly enjoyed the video! I completely agree that the cash envelope system works - if I didn't put my money away each month the whole lot would disappear into thin air and I wouldn't be able at account for it. You seem very well organised! Good luck with the baby and stay safe! X
Although no one knows for certain the origins, one accepted theory is that it was a monogram used on bags that superimposed the letter "U" over theh letter "S" and eventually the bottom curve was removed. In the US, the single stroke and the double stroke are used interchangably and both are accepted. Not sure where you are, but you are not "wrong" in using either
Good day, I just finished watching your video (it's taken like 3 days cuz my kids are noisy 😂) it inspired me to consolidate all the values for my sinking funds too. We've also not be using cash. We have separate "bills" and "spending" accounts but leaving the sinking funds in was confusing me so I just got that out from an ATM then just juggled the envelopes cuz I couldn't get the smaller denominations within going in to a bank.
Every time I see your nose job envelope, I always feel sad. Unless you're from a third world country, you probably didn't suffer from malnutrition and therefore have developed quite possibly - very beautiful. Hopefully that envelope transforms into some self care instead. And believe me, babies are EXPENSIVE, you will never have enough put away for them. Keep safe in this crazy world, beautiful mama xox
Love today’s video ! You could do an about me , or Q&A , story times or even a vlog even do there’s not much to do now a days lol . Glad you’re doing well ! ❤️❤️
You're doing so good. Instead of slowly falling further and further into debt with each unforeseen disaster like a lot of people are doing, you are slowly improving your situation and saving up for everything ahead of time. Although, it kind of makes me nervous to see you keep so much of your cash at home, have you considered keeping the bigger amounts like mom money and Christmas money in a savings account and just have them earmarked in your records as to what the money is for?
Your nails are beautiful. I been saving my fives and ones since 2019 Of March. I decided to keep going. So far 17 months I have $3,01.00 in Fives and $2000.00 in ones also have $800.00 in 2 dollar bills
if you want a tip for better money counting... count as 10 dollars as 1, 50 dollars as 5, 20 dollars as 2 ( you get it) then you just need to add a 0 to know the amount so you don't make any mistake counting large amounts ( over 100 dollars already makes sense) this is how many small entrepreneurs count it, it's faster and easier, harder to make mistakes as you're adding small numbers.
the fact that your handwriting is neater than mine, i'm jealous. plus i discovered your video through my recommendation and i'm inspired to start doing the same. thankyou dear ❤️.
I’m curious...at what point do you take it to a bank? I just feel skeptical for those that may live in an apartment or with roommates, having all this money accessible may be dangerous? What is your advice?
I live with my family where everyone drives and needs gas money. I refer to myself as the more smart person with money and save it for when I really need it. I have noticed that my money has gone missing so now I’m very quiet about it but if I have less than 100 I’ll hide it till I get more but if I have over 200+ then that’s when I go to the bank. If you live with roommates you don’t trust I would suggest going to the bank if you don’t trust them if you get 100+
Why hadn't you been just giving your mom some of the money you owe her an just keep track of that amount and then how much you still owe her she may need that money now if she's not able to work or have any income coming in from other sources.
I hope the nose job isn’t just an insecurity because that would be sad saving money to now feel insecure possibly because of how people see you idk I just hope you love yourself
Bruh save it and invest it in to oil I’m 13 and I’m a oil tycoon making thousands oil is so Low right now stop Spending it on a nose job and invested in oil stocks
Dian Prasetyo Did you not listen? She said she just bought a bunch of stuff for the baby. That’s why there wasn’t much in it at the moment. That sarcastic comment was so rude and unnecessary.
She said that was a little messy.....sis where?! That’s was beautiful
Hahaha thank you ☺️ I guess I mean kinda shaky lol

Just a suggestion. Pay your mom off first.
Agree...mom should be the first every month of payday
I agree
