Putting in Percival instead of letting K-Rod continue was criminally stupid by today's standards....Angel's are lucky heart-attack Percival didn't cost them.
Kenny lofton was one of the unluckiest players in league history: Lost in the 95 World Series Lost in the 98 Alcs Lost a 2-0 lead in the 99 Alds Lost a 2-1 lead in the 01 Alds vs the 116 win mariners Lost the 02 World Series when the giants were up 5-0 in game 6 up 3-2 in the series Lost the 03 NLCS, cubs blow a 3-1 lead Lost in the 04 Alcs, Yankees blew a 3-0 lead to Boston Lost in the 07 Alcs with the Indians, blew a 3-1 lead to the Red Sox
Yep, I just noticed that Lofton was the last out. As a Tribe fan, I loved Lofton-- great player (and, as far as I can tell, a classy one, too). Bummer that he came so close so many times (including on absolutely STACKED Indians teams, especially 1995), but never got the Title. Bummer too that he was not considered more seriously for the HOF (having watched him closely over many seasons following the Indians, I think he's HOF material).
And, I was at Game 4 of that ALDS between the Tribe and the 116-win M's. Tribe was leading in the 8th and then it appeared the ump squeezed his zone on the Tribe helping the M's to come back and win that game (and then they won game 5, too). Real bummer for Indians fans (the last year in that particular era of Indians dominance in the AL Central between 1994-2001, after 35 years of futility before that-- futility that was SO bad they made comedic movies about the Indians prior to those 1994-2001 Tribe).
@@AMDG_JMJ maybe the tribe will win it all this year. It would be cool to see Cleveland celebrate more than one championship in a 60 year span. If the browns ever win the Super Bowl, and that’s a big if, that city will sink into the Ohio river.
@stevenstocker7425 Dang right about all that, man! That's why it would have been SO cool if, after 52 years of no titles in any sport, Cleveland had gotten TWO in 2016 (that ALMOST happened)! Tribe has been consistently competitive since the 90s (after 3.5 decades of futility prior to the 90s, as documented by the "Major League" movie), the Browns are improving, and the Cavs are good. We'll see! Yes, if Browns ever win it all, the city would explode-- no atomic bomb would compare.
What a glorious moment for my beloved Halos!....never will forget that magical year and postseason!
Francisco Rodríguez’s 8th inning was amazing

That's a lot of participant ribbons

22 years ago. That’s a drought.
Mariners haven’t been since 01
With 30 teams, you should mathematically win it once every 30 years.
Oh yea? (I’m a Padres fan)
We'll always have 2002.
I am a Yankees fan, and I rooted heavily for the Giants in the World Series
I just realized, Benji's bounce off the wall would've been a HR now!
I was there. Awesome time.
Wash has these kids cooking. 2026 angels vs cubs World Series
Why they left Hernandez on for so long is beyond me.
Did they say Barry Bonds is hitting only .500 in this series? Like what? Haha
