your flying is amazing my 230 v1 is shaky on takeoff need to hold left i got the night version wish i would have just lit up a v2 but im still happy learning and loving it the led blades are nice to stare at a firebrand in the sky
you probably already know this, but if not... The reason the heli hovers slightly leaning right, is because the tail rotor gives a little thrust to the right (to counter the main rotor rotation), and this actually results in making the heli moving sidewaysto the left - so in order to counter THIS the heli leans over slightly to the right. On a heli with the main rotor blade rotating counter clockwise, it would end up hovering with the right side skid slightly lower.
Grazie
dude just casually talks about his heli while flying, meanwhile my brain is broken trying to understand why it is no longer bound by the laws of physics...
Wow, what do you know of the bound by the laws of physics??? It's simple math and it actually works as a real Chopper only not on the head, but not because it can't be done. The reason he can fly on the head and so is because he can turn the big blades so they have the same uplift when it's upside down as when it's normal. Only it's hard to learn to do, but this is pure laws of flying like a big Chopper. And they are as hard to fly as real big Choppers. He can do this also because it's small and has so much engine power, but it looks wild, but the physics are exactly the same. No cheating here.
It follows the laws of physics but the motor and rotorhead combination give way more power than on a lifesize helicopter so you can do a lot more aerobatic tricks.
I'm almost 51 and flew 30 size Century helicopters and Raptors. Just got back into it. Went to get a battery for a crappy drone at my local hobby store. And there it was. Perfect size and collective pitch for $300. And no messy fuel to deal with. Impressed is an understatement. Technology has come a long way. Well the drone is collecting dust with no battery. I'm already looking at the Blade 450 to keep my version 2 company that i just bought. I do very little 3D. So here is my question. Everything I've researched is screaming simulator. Real flight 9 or the Phoenix simulator. Your comments would and will be greatly appreciated. And pricing does not concern me.
Fwiw, simulators will make you prpgress faster and more cheaply (cost of crashes in the sim is zero). However, I personally think it is more fun to learn on the helis. I never did get a sim, even though it would have sped my progress. Been flying helis since 2013. Learned on a Blade Nano QX and then bought a Blade 450x. Had lots of fun learning, way more fun than I would have had on a simulator.
@@sganzerlag this comment was posted a year ago. And I totally agree. Bought the Realflight 9. To be honest. I've used it maybe a dozen times. I like the real hands on with the actual heli.
Kevin first you should start off with something like a blade 70 S and then you can move up to something like this one this one would teach you how to fly helicopters but I recommend doing a simulator first
So, is this one more aggressive? More power? I like how light they are and tough on crashes. But my original 230s is ok to flip, gentle piro flips and some slow 3D stuff like funnels but not powerful enough for much else. Not even tick tocks I think. This looks similar from the video.
I have been flying the night version of the 230s. My impression of this V1 version is that it is a bit sluggish on 3d moves versus the V2 based on seeing your flight. Also I have noticed a slight tendency of the V1 to roll to the right on flips. The V2 looks more locked into me...is this your impression?
Insane Flight , im attempting loops on xk micros & after a month of a new 230s Flights i still scared to flip the pain toggle on my pretty Blade lol Think a scale fuselage is in the future.
And which radio do you use? I want to buy me the 230s but later i would like to have an align or something more powerful helicopter like that. And i dont now if i should by rhe rtf or bnf with a radio which i can use later for another heli
Great videos, I appreciate your skills and commentary! I have about 50 flights on the night version 230s v1 and really love it. Is it possible to upgrade the v1 to v2 or is the v2 a completely different platform?
Bail out mode is unpredictable as fuck though... I would have preferred if the system always picks the same way of recovering, that way it is also useable in more confined spaces.
Tyler Krasavage I did a lot of simming on the computer when I began flying RC helis. I remember being on it for 10-13 hours a week. That accelerated my progression.
Zoom FPV/RC Would you mind sharing your tx settings for your blade 230s ? interested in what someone as good as you has as far as your pitch and throttle curves as well as expo and rates
Tyler Krasavage everything is as recommended on the manual except for travel adjust for Aileron and Elevator is 120. I also increased parameter 4 on the Ar636 from 100 to 200. That's it!
OK, Thank you for this nice video. I' just ordered one after seeing this video. It flies so well it looks, and I have the older Blade 230S.
Holy cow dude! You got some mad skillz! Total jelly!
Nice, great demo of the heli capabilitities. I'm impressed.
I had a very bad skid dance powering up and down at a certain headspeed. I tightened up the blades and it was gone. Love this little helicopter.
Excellent demo! Tnank you Zoom.
REALLY ENJOYED THE SHOW REALLY SOMETHING
I took the new 230s V2 esc and 230s motor and installed them in my 250 cfx. Its super smooth. Im not into 3D so this works for me.

I don't like how the gyro kicks up first when you start the main
would be great if you could get V1 and V2 flying side by side
You went from a basic hover. to an inverted backside Hurricane. and the V1 does this ?
It has piro comp built into the flight controller right?
Did they fix the problem with the frame? They need to reinforce where the front skid mount meets the frame.
Great flight!

Hello. How we can contact you for review products?
Awesome flying.

@@michaelfrandsen5200 Gee thanks for the explanation professor. Take a chill pill and don't read into things so darn seriously.

What transmitter were you using.
Spectrum ix12
Are you working the collective when hitting bailout or does it automatically go negative to positive?
You will need to add collective. so in this case its press bail out and raise collective stick.
What heli do you learn all that stuff on?
Kevin I started with the old Blade 400! Flybar!

Are you still a member of the CCF? I just joined the club and just bought the new V3
No I am not . Been tied up in a different hobby at this time. I will be back in the future

Middle mode on 80 percent head. Speed is all you need ..I don't use safe cause it's done some crazy things ..scary things
Hurricanes, yes they are so dope to fly backwards fast. Nice video overall.
Is the helicopter stock?

Tom Bonavita yes. I forgot the complete list but it's mainly the esc, main gear, tailblade, and fbl controller
i did not know Carlos Mencia Flew Helis....lol sorry, it was there
Bail out mode is unpredictable as fuck though... I would have preferred if the system always picks the same way of recovering, that way it is also useable in more confined spaces.
What radio did you use. I'm waiting for the BNF version to use with a DX9.
how did you get so skilled? any tips for a beginner i have a 230s and want to learn 3d

Manque une explication en français !
You fly real good man. How long would you say it took you to fly this well?
Been flying for 7 years. But got decent around 3-4 years
I assumed anything with bailout mode was incapable of 3D I thought they just throwing something on the market to make a buck or two ...
Wonderful! It will do anything except hover.
NIIIIIIIIICE! 😁👍
