- In this video we show dyson v7 battery replacement for the red flashing light fix on one of these vacuum cleaners. When you see the red flashing light it can indicate a battery issue with your vacuum and the battery will need to be replaced. Luckily it is only 2 phillips screws to replace the battery on this dyson v7 vacuum and you can have it up and running in no time instead of having a broken vacuum.

Same for me, barely lasted 6 months, the replacement was just as easy as you make it look
Thank you for this video! Very helpful!! :)
The battery on my dyson only lasted about a year too. I’m going to try this battery out. 👍
It’s worth a shot! Seemed to do the trick on mine 💪
Great quick video. My battery
Went bad fast as well. Thanks for the instructions on how to do a quick battery swap!
Glad it helped! Make sure to subscribe for more videos as I post weekly 💪
Good instructions.
I opened up the battery and tested my individual cells there is a battery management circuit board on the top I'd imagine that is the problem. They sell those on Ebay for 10 bucks but unless you're good at soldering, the average person won't be able to fix.
The batteries on these are awful - but you gotta register the unit. you can get a free one each year for the 2 years. I ended up buying one for $30 on Amazon and getting a free one from Dyson. Have that backup
I have a red flashing light only when charging, any ideas? Just replaced the battery about a week ago.
It's not a Phillips Head screw, its 'Posi-drive'. Using wrong driver tip can cause wear in the screw head with possible problems in the future. Should be ok on the small size involved though. Phillips is used mainly in US and Japan., Posi mainly in Europe and RoW. Inquiring minds can go seek the difference.
Mine is not holding a charge long then dies
There is a fix for the 32 red flashes, the cells need to be balanced and the pack reset. It will work like before, if the cells are still in good condition. See here th-cam.com/video/7t9yA3_KUI0/w-d-xo.html

I think this is dyson v6 sir not v7
That’s not a v7 that’s a v6
good thing apparently both v6 and v7 share the same battery fitting
@@prorenzo Not sure about that... My v7 batter looks totally different. (The part that goes inside the grip)
This is v6. Not v7
Dude, get a tripod!
