- Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru, as in the previous years,has organised an “OPEN DAY” event to show-case its activities to the student community and the general public on Saturday, 04 March 2023 from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
On this day, students, science and technology enthusiasts, and the public have an opportunity to visit the Institute and go around the campus to explore the exciting science and technology initiatives and activities of the Institute. The Open Day will feature popular lectures, experimental demos, poster presentations, quiz contests, scientific competitions, and exhibitions that will be showcased in the various departments and centres. A “Kids-Zone” will offer a special attraction for all the younger students, with a number of science and technology demos on display.
The Open Day is for IISc departments to showcase their research activities.

I’m a british pakistani student and the university id like to do a PhD with in the UK requires I spend 2 years at IIsc.
Now there’s obviously tensions between our countries, how would a Pakistani feel at the university? It looks really good and I’d love to attend but i’m concerned about the treatment I’d feel, if anyone could help advise me for or against, id appreciate it.
Hey hi, I think most of the people in IISc are intellectuals so they wont treat you based on your nationality.genuinely speaking I dont think majority of people will treat you any different if anything people would be nicer to you. @@Sneha_Negi Your answer is true but to diplomatic Sneha. Problem is unfortunately even science and tech is not free from some radical minds who brainwash and don't let scientists and engineers do their work.
Lets also not forget that companies and policies also are controlled by humans in the end which invariably means science and tech is not free from politics and related things.
I wish I was wrong but unfortunately truth is not very sweet.
You will be welcomed and treated like one of us.... You will feel safer here in india way more than ud ever feel in Pakistan or 99% of the countries .... for an instance indian cricket team won't return from Pakistan if a match happens there , but they are treated with respect and welcomed whole heartedly here😂

Still remember the the 1st day I noticed …canteen writing on the wall something like ‘wasting of food is a social crime’!

Mujhe sirf CAOS wale me maza aya interesting tha other than that i got to know one very important thing Cense wale bahut passionate h 🤣 zabardasti tour karwaye exit k liye pucha toh lecture dia humko jaane nehi de rhe the😭 phir humne apni intelligence k pradarshan krtey hue nitrogen tank k pass se niklne k asafal prayaas kia gate BAND KRDIA unlog ne alas hum rote rote unki lab ghumi ghumi krne gye phir chup karne k liye ek methi namakeen tofee de jo humne mauka pe chauka maar k muthi bhar uthali. CSE wale dept mein multicore lab deka jissme lock laga tha but they got very nice wallpapers for PC. Aur phir hum ye regret krtey krtey chale gye ki padhai ki hoti toh aaj shayad iisc mein hote na ki apne campus mein but we love our teachers most of them are from iisc. And sorry for long comment mein introvert hu so internet pr bahut bakwas krta hu .

hey hi, I chose IISc because in my preparation days also my elder brother wanted me to get enrolled in IISc. I didn't know about it until then. also it was my belief that IITs are much better for their BTech program and IISc is known for it's masters program.

You can prepare for jee or neet.. and you can get admission in the ug course through these 2 exams

Can you make a video on placement and b-tech courses regarding IISc?
There is only one Btech course which is Btech in mathematics and computing. This two started from the last year only. Ill try to make a video on placement scenerio
First, get in. Studying in IISc is an experience - don't worry about trivial matters like placements. BTW, IISc students get fantastic jobs. Bangalore is a tech hub anyway. There's only one BTech program. IISc is primarily a research institute.
Mam I heard that IISc is more tough coz they have much mathematics included than IIT is this real??
hey hi, in first semester i also felt the same. but after first semester we can choose any subject of our choice. so I did not choose mathematics heavy courses.

@@GATEWith_HARIS no i did not. I dropped after my BTech for one year. I think if you are preparing for one year. On and average 5 to 6 hours on daily basis. Its okay if you miss some days in a week . And in last 2 month of prep tried 8 to 9 hours a day. I think that would be sufficient if you are preparing smartly

hello didi i have secured an AIR 33 in EE but my college percentage is 60.1% can i get iisc AI.
I dont think college percentage is a criteria for AI. They only have a online test for linear algebara and probability related qsns

hi GO classes has a lot of gate cs under 100 toppers this year. the website gate overflow is also very good. the best for gate cs prep i would say.
Are PWD candidates exempted from paying full tuition fees like SC/ST candidates ?
