I love seeing my peoples food being shown, great job on the video. I was born in Khartoum and left because of the war and went to Egypt for a few years before moving to Canada. I can't wait to go home and see our beautiful country

amazing. Thanks for this. Is stockfish part of South Sudanese cuisine? I thought only Nigerians eat Stockfish in Africa.

Your welcome, thank you for the lovely comment.Stock fish is consumed in South Sudan and it is part of our traditional cuisine. Not only Nigerian cook with stock fish. Most African countries share cuisine due to immigration or movement of our ancestors from one region to another before colonisation that why we share cuisines. But different methods of preparing it.Thank you.

It’s very different to the usual one, the necessary ingredients are missing like unions, garlic and few different ingredients like herbs. Still looks nice.

Thank you, this is traditional way of cooking, since the sauce contains peanut butter the ingredients you have mentions above is not needed. There is another method of cooking Okra and dry fish where the ingredients can be added such as union's,garlic, oil and herbs etc.

Kombo, a traditional salt from South Sudan. It is made from wood or grass ashes where you place the ashes in the a pot with holes at the bottom, run water through the ashes ,and the liquid that lick out into a container is called Kombo. Also most African countries consume Kombo but it is called different names. The Kombo liquid can be replace for baking soda to a achieve that traditional African cuisine taste. Thank you for asking.I hope I answered your question.
