I like to apply a very very small coating of floatant, and a little shake in dry shake. It's important not to use to much, a little goes a long way. You can also apply only a small amount of floatant to the wing so that the wing stays above water and the rest of the body sits low in the film. Try both presentations and find what works that day
I tie the wing more compact and not so flared because they always seem to twist my leader when they're too "comparadunny." Love this fly, nice video!
Great pattern and easy tie. For me, I use about half the amount of material for wing, body and tail. Thanks.

A really famous and excellent pattern. Is it necessary to use floatant. and if so where? Just the body and shuck? Very nice demo! :-)
