Good old VHS tapes. I remember having to make sure that the picture was centered, because of lines on the top or the bottom of the picture, VHS was playing. Also rewinding was a thing. 😆
Umm…the context of the quote was that him being a fox in general was enough of a reason for them to beat him up Not that they are calling him bluff due to not seeing his actual fur color. 🫰🫰🫰
Old memories of my childhood, at least 35yrs ago. I also remembered most of the dialogues and just realised I've been using some of the words subconsciously.
This is one of my favorite looney tunes cartoons when I was growing up. I use to act out the scene when the fox was chopping the radio by using a cardboard box.
@@ElectraFox I wonder why? There is movies like The Fox And The Hound, Robin Hood & Zootopia they feature foxes. Also the guess how much I love you show features a fox.
@@luckypawfilms3408 It is a mystery to me as well. There are a bunch of us that would like to see more fox characters in the various types of media, Also. It is a missed opportunity.
This is also one of my favorite Looney Tunes cartoons. I like foxes and old tube radios. That makes this one a win-win.😆 Sorry, I missed this comment somehow. At least I finally got to it. 🤣
Unfortunately, I was not aware of the differences in the different endings, at the time I posted this. Also, I think the "That's all folks" ending is still copyrighted. It is better to play it safe.
These wartime Looney Tunes are so scarce; they seemed to disappear from TV in the era of ‘’The Bugs Bunny and Tweety Show’’ and the like because (I think) they were sold off or went into the public domain (?) Haven’t seen this one in 60 years. More! Very, very dark - animal cruelty, incredible naïveté amounting to suicide (!) Definitely not for children.
This is why, I wanted to post this particular short, because a lot of these are super scarce. Apparently, some are public domain. But a lot of the Looney Tunes shorts are still copyrighted. I was not sure which ones were, or were not copyrighted. It is better to play it safe. These large companies can be super aggressive. I am glad you enjoyed it.
I know, everybody's complaining about the ending. I realize I got the wrong version after I uploaded it. 😆I manually upscaled this. Also, I believe the "That's All Folks!" Ending might still be copyrighted. It is better to play it safe.
Memory unlocked. This was one of the few VHS tapes I had in my early childhood.
Same here. I was obsessed with this when I was a kid. I just found it.

7:23 "Silver, smilver, as long as you are a fox!"
Of course, dogs are color blind.
I wonder how many people caught that. 😆🤣
Well, dogs (& many other animals) can see at least some colors. :-)

*Proceed to perform WWE smackdown on the fox*

You don't have to put a copyright disclaimer. This cartoon is in the public domain.
That being said, you did a really good job restoring this!
public domain don't mean shit to some companies.
WB themselves did most of the restoring work here, this is the version you see on max
Cutest fox ever
i beg to differ...Nick wilde, Maid Mirian, Robin hood, Tod, Vixy...just to name a few...(and YES, i noticed they are all disney)
This looks cool I never seen this fox character before.
This is his only appearance ever. He doesn’t even have a name.
@@owilliams1031wish he appeared more in looney tunes back then
Unfortunately, fox characters do not get as much Spotlight as they should.

And you kept the original aspect ratio. Hate it when they stretch it to 16x9 and call it "FULL HD UPSCALE!! BEST QUALITY!!".
This is one of the great Looney Tunes shorts. One of my personal favorites is a tale of two kitties.

Bringing back so many memories
I agree, modern cartoons pale in comparison.
I saw an image on Facebook with the fox relaxing on a beach and did a Google Lens search and it lead me to this. I adore foxes so much.
Sliver Sliver As Long You're A Fox 🦊
Leave it to the creators of Bugs Bunny to tell the story of a slow-learning fox.
What does he say at 3:23 . I can't understand a word he says lol
I love how he pictures a skulk of foxes on 5th Avenue, with their tails proudly up and wearing green ribbons ...
You were the first one, here in the comments to notice that. I also, like it too.
I remember watch this short from Bugs Bunny public domain DVD with I was young.
It is good to know that it is public domain. These big companies can be super scary, when it comes to those sort of things.😆
You should have changed the ending music to the one that was in the original theatrical release of Fox Pop.

@@ElectraFox Well even if this short is in the public domain, you can still play the 1941 Merrily We Roll Along Rendition.

Still my favorite❤❤❤❤😂
For an obvious reason, he's not a very bright fox.
Wow😂 so funny

So sad this fox never came back, yet it's Pepe Lew pew that got all the attention for terrible reasons
this restauration used the EU Dubbed Version cue music
Thank you, for letting me know.
