I love how professional these two are! Yes, they're enemies, but that's only on the clock. After hours, they're good friends. They'll have breakfast together, even cover each other's shift at work, when the other isn't well. I respect that they don't let their job affect their friendship! Definitely my favorite looney tune duo.
I always loved Ralph and Sam's cartoons when I was a kid. My favorite parts of them is when they show that they are friends/ co-workers rather than bitter enemies. watching this just makes me feel all nostalgic

@@xXSilentAgent47Xx it kind of reminds me of what the guy who created Super Mario Bros 3 said about the game, at the end of the day to him it's just a play and the characters are just actors.

You just can't beat the classics why can't things be like they used to. Looney Toons was the light of my day every Saturday I remember either popping in a DVD, or just turning on the TV, and watching Looney Toons. That's the beauty of it all in the end everyone was friends instead of having to worry about life long enemies.

I have sheep and dogs to guard them. The dogs and coyotes do have a competitive relationship. There is a lot of back and forth vocalizing where they seem to mock each other. Whoever wrote these must have been very familiar with shepherding.
You have to just love Sam the grossly overweight and lethargic sheep dog, he's so patient and cunning. How about good old rooster Foghorn Leghorn and the Dog? Another classic of days long past...
Two friends with jobs that make them mortal enemies until the shift is over. Anybody any similar jobs? The one I think of is prosecutors and defense lawyers. Any other examples?
Funny how I was just watching Suits (A Law series) and Louis reffered to his relationship with Harvey as Ralph and Sam cartoon so I came here to check it.
This is what sets the Sam Sheepdog and Ralph the Wolf cartoons apart from the other Looney Tunes, in others they are enimies and rivals but for these two, it's just a job the clock in to do their shift and at the end of the day they're still friends.
All in a day at work, try to get sheep past Sam Sheepdog, get beat down, put sheep back , and it's quiting time. See you tomorrow Sam. Yep see you tomorrow Ralph and it starts all over again with different day different jokes. Absolutely loved these Warner Brothers cartoons. 😊🤨🤔😆🤣😁👍
@mikeef747 This is very modern. You can tell by the lack-luster music. It was first released in July of last year. Mel Blanc didn't do the voices. It's a brand new cartoon.
I'm sorry but in my honest opinion I prefer the good classic Looney Tunes cartoons cause those ones always make me laugh and cheered me up whenever I have a bad day plus the classic Looney Tunes cartoons were voiced by Mel Blanc
I quite agree from myself. The new style of Looney Tunes are full of sarcasm and boring silence. Even Lola bunny is being a bit annoying just like pick me girl who's trying to be cute for Bugs
This was definitely a Christmas episode. Some really funny stuff was going on. Daffy duck never instructed Ralph to know how to steal the sheep. Ralph never masqueraded as one of the sheep. He thought he would pull a fast one masquerading as St. Nick. 🐑 🐏 🐑
Somehow Ralph wolf qualified as a sheepdog. That's how he got the job. Him and Sam are friends, but he's always going to keep his best friend in Czech. No not as in Czech Republic!! You got that microphone?! It's autocorrecting everything I say?!

It's funny how they act like friends when they clock in, have lunch and clock out, but become enemies at all the other times in between.
Yeah, one my favorites exchanges between these two is after a particularly brutal day for Ralph, Sam tells him to take the next day off to recover and that Sam can cover both of their shifts.
Well they're just doing their job and still are friends.

Use to love watching the older ones when I was a kid. Love the fact that they punch in and out at the beginning and end 😂

Whoever did these cartoons is a real talent….to think of such funny escapades is no simple task. Love it!
The time clock is such a great bit for a cartoon like this. I absolutely love it!

props to the new animators for giving sam and ralph some new shorts, they're underrated
Come on, it's Christmas. Let Ralph have at least one sheep for Christmas dinner. He has a family to feed.
Ralph only steal sheep for his job. He's not really interested in eating them and keeps lunch box with him.
He was just doing his job. Sam & Ralph were good friends.
I love the running gag that the two of them are like best friends, despite their respective jobs being in opposition to each other. 🤣
And of course never questions the purpose of the job. If one of them quits, it either peaceful or all the sheep are dead.

I've always loved to watch older cartoons, they are or were better than the ones today.
Agreed.
I love how outside the job they are good pals.
they clock in and kick each others ass ROFL the entire shift then they clock out and everything is cool.

That's how you separate your work and life.
Sam the Sheepdog and Ralph the Wolf have always cracked me up.
Absolute class - Could watch those two all day long 😁

Love these modern versions!! Just as funny as the originals!!
I love that they opened with "While Shepherds Watched Their Flocks by Night" as the background music.

“He’s a pretty skinny wolf” well damn I’d be skinny too if Sam the Sheepdog kept protecting the food that I was gonna eat lol

You cannot tell me that he wasn't the forerunner of Wile E. Coyote, my ultimate cartoon hero.
Ralph showed up in the mid 50ies and Wile E.s first short is from 1949. But who knows, maybe Ralph was on the drawing board earlier. 🤔🤔🤔
I always assumed they were cousins or something.
No new animation will ever match the Looney Tunes! Those were the best in history of animation! The golden age...
I love the music when Ralph starts turning the sheep on the skewer. Also, I lost it at Sam violently ringing Ralph like a bell.🤣
I was surprised that they made Ralph’s fur grey instead of brown. I guess this was done to better differentiate him from Wile E Coyote.
I always thought it was wile e coyote when i was a kid
Mornin Sam

I’ve watched Ralph and Sam since I was a kid I’m 54 now I still watch them

I like to imagine that if he ever succeeded, he would just put the sheep back
