Two tips for silk 1) cut as single layer 2) use merchant and mills entomology pins. I made the Sicily slip dress in liberty silk last month for a wedding and it’s lovely to work with.
Of course we will still be here for you Sarah when life allows you more sewing time! Love your new makes and the dress you are planning to sew with your beautiful denim will look awesome. Yes I’m okay thank you, just a lot going on with boys, (one of whom has his GCSE’s coming up too soon 😬) family etc that I can’t commit to regular sewing and vlogging, much as I’d love to. Yes definitely go for it with the ruffled top, I’d love to see it! I have some of the trim left if you’d like some? I’m going to a much needed sewing social today, and going to wear it for the first time 😄.

Hi. I made a size A and shortened it a couple of inches because I wanted it a bit more cropped. I’m a size UK 10 in rtw top if that helps.
