But maam we know that as we proceed right in the periodic table the O-hetero double bond gets stronger. That's why the formation of SO4 2- is better than PO4 3-.
So according to this Sulfoxide formation will be better than phosphonium oxide.
Then why in case of Sulfur Ylides there is no S=O bond formation??
