Yes gurl, do this again! If you get enough new and interesting ones, then why not this month 😊 Loved how you kept looking around like you were asking your plants their opinion 😆 Thanks so much for this. It was a lot of fun 😁
Hahahaha 🤣 oh okay sounds good.
Yes, this was a lot of fun! 🔥☕️please do it again in the future! I’ve also seen another interesting one - discussing plant confessions from listeners (from a podcast)
Ohhhhh! That's such a great idea 😊💡
More of these please, I loved it! Especially how you changed the strongly agree to strongly disagree sections with your mugshots and quotes...yaaass 💚💚
Oh yayyyy I'm so glad. I thought this video was so fun 😊
I really liked this 😃 It´s fun to see what people have for opinions about different things in the plant community 🥰
Omg I had so much fun 😊
@@kevin. And regarding your story on insta about this video. You didn't answer this wrong. In that case I would have answered it wrong as well 🤣
@@Dixiwonderlandyoutube haha I went back to edit it because it was bugging me 🤣🤣🤣
This was awesome & fun! Do another in December.
Oh yay okay thanks 😊
I was the one who posted the statement about plants declining in semi hydro. I grow most of my plants in semi hydro, was saying it because I knew you would Oh Gurl me and give wonderful examples of plants thriving in semi hydro. You are my semi hydro guru! Thank you so much for this episode and all that you do every day and week Love your channel!
Loved this format!! That was so fun!!
Thank you for the nod love! You're the sweetest! 😘
Well yeassss! This was a blast I love ALL your content/videos. Your my top TH-camr plant bestie🥰
We have different plant growing methods, but basically same results. I just enjoy watching other people’s plants and growth.
“You do you boo..I do me see”
My queen is always on one leaf.. once another starts growing, the old one dies.. light is good.. humidity is 80% so.. lol. Love your vids Kev, thank you for putting out quality content for plants!
My calathea wersweizsii ( have no idea if i spelled that correctly lol) grows so great, does get some crisping. I think once people move past the filtered water sitch, they are soooooo easy. They are very "vocal" and will let you know when they need water. Loved this video 😂
The calathea comment is funny, but very true! I find them easier to grow than my Philodendron Pink Princess (aka The Diva). I find success in medium light, distilled water, and ignoring them. Also, I'm experimenting with using self-watering pots, and mixing my own soil. Just thought I would share. . .
I value and trust your decisions with plant care, so here I go…can I move my Thai constellations and albo’s straight into Leca from soil, or should I acclimate them in water before Leca? I’m soooo nervous 😬
I’m on the too scared of anthurium train 😅 I had a flamingo flower (so the basic of the basic) and I killed it. Nothing I did helped.
Yes do another!
I feel like pepperomias just don’t last. Def the hardest plant I’ve ever propagated (mother plant had thrips)
Yes, I think spider plants are ugly. It’s just grass. Bougie grass that hates me.
Oh awww! Yeah they can be tricky in the beginning 😅
I was, too! I had a similar experience with the flamingo flower varieties but don’t blame the genus! I urge you to try again with something like a Clarinervium or Crystallinum, even a Pallidiflorum!! Now that I’ve dipped my toes, I fully dove right in head first 😂😂
This was a super fun video. Love the hot takes. Loved how you looked at your plants at the 'variegation is overrated' comment. I did the same thing. 🤣
Please read my comment because I had the space here to explain myself lolololol 😅
@@hollypuckett3931 I saw your comment. I was watching this while working so didn’t pay attention to who asked the questions. I hadn’t realized you asked all of those. I enjoy some Rex Begonia but they definitely don’t share the love and I can totally see how they look manipulated. And yeah some of the variegated hype is crazy. For instance people selling sport variegated Alocasia when it’s a speck on one leaf.
@@GardenWitchStudio right?! I love variegation just as much as the next guy but my love lies in the reasons variegation is special and not just because I can say my plant is variegated lolol Not all variegation should be treated equally 🤪
You are so fun to watch. Thanks so much and Merry Christmas 🎄🎄🎄
This is so good! Please do this again!
This was FANTASTIC! I want to share the same mind! 😂and humidity trays are a waste of time... ☕
We definitely need a pt 2 please this was fun ❤
Yes! One in December and another in January. I’d like to participate! ❤
Rank your plant favorites by genus? 😊 this was super entertaining loved it
ayyyyyy i made it into the videooooo! this format was super fun! definitely do more if you feel like it :D
I could watch you reading the phone book 🤣🤣🤣 you always give me a chuckle. You should do one similar but rating plants. We send the plant name, you put then in your cute categories 💚💚💚.. it auto corrected to eating plants instead of rating 🤣🤣🤣
Okay ..... you guys. I have 3 queen anthuriums and I keep them in the same conditions as my basic plants like philodendron brasil. Low humidity, medium light, water them whenever I remember or feel like it. And they pop out one big leaf after another.
I think people are over complicating anthurium care, especially warocqueanum....
EDIT: I posted this comment right before he read my IG submission 🤣
@Kevin I am a witch and I live in Austria 🤣 hit me up for some anthurium spells
Super fun, yes we need more of these! I kept laughing for some reason 😅.
This was fun, do this again this month!
This was awesome! We need another 🥳💝
real fun ! choo-choo! Do it again this month
Haha the colours are interesting, I would have thought red means disagree instead of agree. But yay excited to watch!
OKAY THATS WHAT I WAS THINKING WHEN I STARTED TOO 🤣🤣🤣🤣
That was fun Kevin would love to see another one this month if you get the response for questions to ask 😁.
Bromeliads always die after flowering (well, most species I know do) but the always produce pups before. For their water intake it depend a lot, Ananas have strong roots and take their water trough soil while the epiphytic species dring through their leaves.
Omg thank you for this! So interesting! 🤩💚
Ananas is how we call pineapple in Polish (I guess from Latin?) so you had me confused there for a second.
@@horace6851 I think it's ananas in pretty much any language but english and spanish (at least in french, german, russian, arab and hebrew it's ananas)
@@StalkerNaturaliste not surprising given the Latin name. But what was more funny in this case is that ananas is singular, ananasy would be plural in Polish, so your statement was like you were talking about one particular pineapple plant that has strong roots. Like you knew it personally. I know it's hard to explain, just sounded funny to me :)
It's from native "nanas" actually. Russian plural is aslo ananasy (with the weird sounding "ы" for the y)
Hoya videos pleaseeeee
Loved this! Yes do again.
About 6 months ago i had to leave fb bc of all the drama. I cant stand seeing purges anymore but also i want plants. 😩 its a trap i swear it. Im constantly being told more and more drama from 1 friend still in groups, its become insane.
Ugh sooo annoying that sucks I'm sorry 😔
@@kevin. im just glad i left when i did ha ha ha. Im still trying to learn instagram it seems to be way less drama ❤️
Im running out of things to watch🤣 i keep watching ur vids and i dont have anymore🤣🤣🤣. Love all content and this new one❤️
Oh this is gonna be fun!!
Edit: Oh my gosh that was super interesting! Would love to see more of this!!
Sooo much!! 😂💚
Yaaas make this a series please! 🌿💕
I'd love another one of these!! 😂💕
hahaha This was fun! Think this is the first of its kind I've seen. Definitely more of this. And it's especially fun when you can relate to some of the comments hahaha!
Oh I'm glad you liked it 🤩💚
100% already thought strawberry splash looks like somebody blew chunks after drinking too much. Glad I’m not the only one.
pink princess too, in general I am not a fan of that random variegation, I grew up in FL and "thai constellation" looks like golden pothos that grows like an evasive weed.
Love this video!!! Again! Again!
So much fun!!
AHHH Thanks for answering!!!!!
Omg I just noticed that your channel is almost 25k subscribers!!
I know! How crazy is that 😂💚
Yaay, loved it! 😊 more like these are fun!
Oh yay thanks !! 😊💚
@@kevin. No thank YOU for sharing and creating amazing content 😊❤
@@bugnation aw thanks you're sweet 💚
Do this again in January!
so funny.
I can't get over how kind you are :)
Yes do another please.
Haha okay ☺️
How do you prevent over-watering in Leca?
The oxygen that’s present in the spaces between and/or maintaining an appropriate reservoir level
It’s kinda misleading, the term, because it speaks more to the lack of oxygen than the presence of water.
Dec or Jan , doesn't matter but by all means I'm looking forward to the next one 👍🏿
Your to sweet with this lol some of them i was like screaming at the phone lol them poor hoyas lmao
Love the video hahaha
LOLOLOLOL 🤣
Algea are green. That means chlorophyll and photosynthesis. That means oxygen production.
I really enjoyed this video Kevin, some made me laugh, and your plants behind you , I think they were slightly attacking you haha, when they don't agree with your thoughts,
yas sis we share the same mind!
My hot takes:
1. The only time you should pay >$100 for a plant is when it’s literally bigger than you.
2. Tissue culture is the Monsanto GMO of house plants.
3. Garden center plant descriptions “assorted foliage - bright indirect light” should be illegal.
I definitely know that anthuriums are not easier that philodendron
Also the only reason a plant would decline after a year in the same substrate is more to do with neglect than the medium you use, if you don’t fertilize or if you change it’s lighting or watering then of course it’s going to decline, I’ve had plants decline on soil as well as semi hydro and it was both due to neglect
I lost two Hoya cutting thanks to that bad advice about letting it dry out, the last one is looking right thanks to that too
The variegated plants being overrated comment is blasphemy
I wish I could give this 2 thumbs up!
another hot take this month please, thanks hahahha
Amazing 🤩
And no algae dont consume oxygen. In nature they even grow on the leaves and feed the plant.
💚
🥰🥰🥰
I loved this so much! You made it so fun with your own little sayings that were personal to you! loved! 🤍
Yes please.... do it again in December! I love to see other people's views on growing plants! & the ☕ in the community is spicy for sure sometimes!!
I will never see a strawberry shake the same again 😂😂
Hahahaha oops 🤣
This was fun! Nickii’s Shake died, she needs a hook up Kevin😁🥰💚
This was fun
PPP's look like peptobismol spilled on the leaves...when it even has variegation 🤪 Nah ma'am for me!
At this point, I feel as if future Kevin deserves to be capitalized...Future Kevin, ftw!
🎉
💚💚💚
The art of bonsai is plant BDSM
LOL OMG
Mmkay.. lemme speak on it!
By Rex begonia being too ‘man-made’ for my taste I mean that they look manipulated to me! They do not look like things you would find readily in nature. I realize there are exceptions but I wouldn’t hesitate to say that MOST Rex’ are cultivars so, they ARE man-made and to me, it shows! I won’t deny that they’re beautiful and eye-catching but not at all in a “😮 Nature is incredible!” sort of way and for me, I’m turned off. It’s like using a cheat code! 😂
I didn’t have the space to word the variegated plant opinion as I wanted but I mean that people just buy variegated plants BECAUSE it’s variegated. I think somehow, somewhere variegation became equated with value or status?? And now people see them as some sort of thing and now it’s so accessible it sort of lost the reason variegated plants are special in the first place! ‘Overrated’ wasn’t the right word at all 😅
And finally, I mean that PPP or Buonos, etc. are like buying a name because similarly to variegated plants, they’ve become more about the status of owning it that the appreciation is lost on the wrong things. And because of this hype, it’s price tag reflected the frenzy around it. The plant itself was no longer valuable in and of itself, it was the name you were paying for.
Regarding your question about doing another edition of this? Yes, please. Every month even 😂❤
And yes, also what you said! They’re buying it even if the specimen is garbage
💚💚💚💚💚
🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
I LIKE DEAD PLANTS TOO! 🎉
BYEEEEEEEEE
Don't second guess the strawberry shakes.Just keep propigating so you can sell them to us that love varigation,PLEASE.
Hahaha don't worry I'm still going 🤣
While I think your strawberry shakes have some of the best variegation I have ever seen I would have to agree that in general, the variegation on that variety is a bit 🤢… 🫣 even so, I think I may want one eventually, lol.
LOLOLOL 🤣 you're right. A lot look like garbage
