Thank you! Amazing channel❤
Glad you enjoy it!
Thanks Melly - very useful. I was surprised that you didn't mention the good old traditional tailors tack. That's what I use mostly.
Glad it was helpful!
Yeah , the traditional yellow wax square is my go to or a no. 2 pencil we all have around the house. I only snip and mark notches and wrong side of fabric.
Hhhhmmmm very interesting tips because I’ve used some or most of what your explaining. I didn’t know about the frickion pens, thank you! Love it all!
Thanks for watching!
I love the idea of the washable markers! I've used soapstone in the past, and chalk. I enjoy watching your informative videos!
Glad you like them!
Some new ideas - thanks :)
Hope they're helpful!
Here I thought I knew most methods and then you show me things like soap & washable kid's markers..! I think that's a great way for budget concious beginners or tricks to know for more experiences sewists when you cannot find your other markers.
They're not just budget conscious, those markers also last longer before drying out than the special sewing ones do in my experience. Plus more colors.
That's awesome to know! I have some at home already ;)
Always helpful

Thanks Melly 😍

Nice, Melly...and thanks.

I been using washable markers since I can remember cause I always had them on hand. They’re always all over the place cause of my daughter so I never have to go searching 😂
Another advantage!
I always use the Ultra Washable markers but I always test it with the fabric I am using. I have had one occasion where the pink one did not wash off completely but considering the sheer number of quilts I work on, that is nothing! Just test a small spot before you mark. Another tip: Buy them at Staple's just before school starts and they are usually on sale for less than $4 a box of 10! That's a deal!
I have a bunch of sewing supplies that I get when back to school is on sale!
Yay first comment! Thanks for the interesting video :)

For darts I like to cut small nips in the seam allowance and then I just have to mark the point.
I do that sometimes too. Then use chalk to mark the lines.
Good video; I just went to Joann yesterday and bought fabric marker. I bought the one with air marker/Water wash off marker. Thank you.
Thanks for watching!
How do I mark black jersey?
I'd probably try chalk.
