  • Here's a craft just about anyone can make. Well, if I can do it, so can you. It's a waxed canvas round bottom bag. It's a great piece of kit that can do just about anything.

I just made another one today. I got it on the first try! I’m going to play the lottery now! Lol

LOL. Would you believe I made 10 today? Once you get the hang of it, its not stop.

I've been sewing for 50yrs now, just use a flexible tape measure around your spool for it's circumference, add the seam allowances for the join and cut the rectangle. Easy.

This popped up on my suggested videos... I’m glad it did!!!! I’m gonna try to make one of these for my bush pot!!!! I tried one time before, but I failed miserably at the bottom part. My machine is a 1960’s Singer... hard to control the speed, but I’m gonna try again!!!! Cheers! 🍺👍🏻

Very helpful, thank you. That includes the so-called boring talk, thanks for not editing it out.

You don’t have to match the upper and lower. Just see the side after the base.

Did I hear you say that machine has auto cut and auto reinforce stitch?

Talk less, make your video half or less. I skipped the first boring 5 minutes. Now I’m skipping through to the actual sewing!

Have you tried sewing the bottom on first and sewing the side last? Just a thought.

Nope. Never tried it that way. I just got used to knowing exactly what tension and size to make it work. I'll give it a try though. Thanks.

Great tutorial! I’m in love with that Singer! I saw your post on model but I am having no luck at all finding anything close to this machine. Could you steer me in the right direction on where to purchase? Any help at all would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Thank you for watching. This machine came from Australia. There are similar models from Consew and Juki, but you have to look around. I can't put a phone numbner here, but you can search for Ralphs Industrial Sewing in Denver, CO.

do you order your canvas or does your local fabric store carry it......?.......nice job...

My local fabric store does not carry anything waxed. You have to order it online and it’s not very cheap because the shipping is expensive. But aside from making it myself I have not found a better way to get it

That's a nice sewing machine. It looks to have a heavy duty metal case. What model is it?

Thank you. It is a Singer 1432C509AL-3-D3 industrial walking foot.

Guns, Knives, and Beer I am attempting to make one today, but I have a very cheap sewing machine and the tread is getting messed up on the bottom. I’ll keep trying!

    • @GunsKnivesandBeer

Tighten the upper tension more than you think it needs.

    • @Dominic.Minischetti
      @Dominic.Minischetti 6 ปีที่แล้ว

Guns, Knives, and Beer I will try that, zig zag stitch works ok. I’m not an expert with a sewing machine! Lol
