It feels like the main issue with the spore was that they were placing them on the edge where the immortals could hit them from the low ground. Would they maybe have been useful if they were placed further in? Just at preventing the toss from doing any immortal juggling inside the main base?

This guy is 2000IQ, Used his free name change to change to the username of his absolute nemisis. Then played such a bad game and wasted no time writing a long email which he KNEW would be aired. He used the time saved writing an essay to recoup the lost ladder points.
If he saw the pylon, while your lings are finishing up, take drones down and start working on the pylon asap. this will also stop the pylon from being covered and forced the probe to make another pylon elsewhere, at that point your ling will be able to work on the new pylon, effectively shutting this down.
The protoss already has a forge and pylon at the top of their ramp. If the zerg runs across the map, the protoss will throw down a cannon and full wall with 1 more 3x3 if they need to.
So the protoss then have spent 600 minerals at the proxy and have to spend 450 at the ramp. And your ravages will come out much faster then his immortal + warpprism
@@Grass89Eater The protoss only slows themselves down by about 190 minerals. 150 for the cannon and about 40 to cancel the gateway in the wall and replace it with a cybernetics core. Everything else is something the protoss wants to build. The zerg loses more than 190 minerals by building a spawning pool at 12 and using larvae on lings that early. Of course cannon rushes can be beat and aren't even that good, otherwise pros would play them more than roughly 0% of the time, but I don't think rushing zerglings and sending them across the map is the way to do it.
I won't lie, I took notes from this game for when I offrace with Protoss. NO joke, my execution of the Toss' cannon rush would be probably worse than the execution of this zerg's 12 pool.
Sidenote: The opponents name reminded me of Alphastar. Is that project still going? I was wondering if it would have made improvement over nearly a decade. It was almost the DeepBlue of SC2 when it was released so I'd expect it to be there with the improvements to AI since then. Maybe it was just Neuralinked into Serral for additional training.
you kinda need larva to spend resources as zerg, i for one usually send 5 drones out while i'm getting cannon rushed, 4 to kill the pilon one to chase the probe and the lings should finish it off
8 minutes is more than enough time to get a spire, and a round of mutas... which would stop this for awhile... often its more effective as zerg is relatively more mobile then terran with nydus's nad basing else where as its tech tree is different, the msot important thing if I am Zerg and being rushes is sending a coutner attack of some form of units to kill their workers so their means of assault is severely impeded. Air can help here... roaches... okay... ravagers... its a little late... the use of hte mutas, can allow you to stop teh juggling with the prism... 8 minute death... that has many paths to solve the problem...spine crawlers with lings infront of htem set bakc a bit can be useful.. but the only entry is the ramp and prism.. so... it shouldn't of gotten to that point.. and with no coutner attack.. you just havea free pumping station... no macro hatch.. zerg... needs a second hatch.. its about two barracks.. so the investmetn of hte protoss in buildings is so muc higher, so the weird no secondary base as zerg is strange... also you cna put up a huge fight and nydus out and expand and tech else where, so when they come to kill kill you, you nydus out and move workers... the protoss loses that initial investment and allows you to better counter the expensive less units of hte protoss... Every two cannons is a hatchery.. every 3 shield battery is a hatchery... the best units against this would imo, be hydralisk with range. because it has a shaper dps which punishes prism microing... as yo ucan bust it down and htey are much cheaper then ravagers, and can then mine freely defend and spike down... of course... often this sort of entrenchment is followed by tempests, so either or a spire is often crucial against protoss proxies since 70% of the time... its a stargate followup.... you will never will without as econdary hatchery, the protoss has to high of production, if yo ucan't get out, then nydusout iwth yoru overlords out there to a corner or macro hatch is needed... you just cna't get enough larva to production and would be starved out as zerg when sieged in by the enemy... but zerg has so many tools.... tha tare cheap... to remove the prob.e.

Nah, a lot of Protoss's from 4k range know how to respond to a 12 pool quite well. You might catch a few here and there, but not as a grinding method.

No spores are not good vs cannon rush unless they are using voidrays for some reason
The prism pretty much didn't go over the high ground until the game was already over.
Doesn't matter you can still keep the prism a little further back and u don't need it for high ground vision then

Toss had a wall already at their main, simply drop a cannon and you've wasted your Zerglings time on the map.
