- Exploring the city of Almaty or Alma-Ata in Kazakhstan. Here are exciting things to do in Almaty for tourists. From the Kok Tobe cable car ride with amazing city views, to the sneaky filming at the Arasan Banya (you have to visit this place!) and shopping at the Green Bazaar, a cool example of Soviet Modernism, just the hotel we stayed at Hotel Kazakhstan. Plus we went to Naval to enjoy eating all the delicious Central Asian foods. It was a blast to visit Almaty. This guide will help you plan your trip to Kazakhstan.

Лагман советую попробовать, в так называемых, кафе 'узбечках'. То что Вам принесли, лапша сделана не вручную , к сожалению , поэтому вкус совершенно не тот.

Great information.. I see you travelled in July 2023. How was the weather in Almaty n Astana? I know it is summer n will be hot. But was it like beyond 35 degree n unbearable ?
Astana seemed hotter because there were no trees (they are all newly planted and not grown) so there was no place to cool off. Almaty has lots of big trees which cools the city better. Both have different places to cool off in summer

Not really near by, most go to Lake Burabay (Borovoe). There are some swimming pools around, the most famous one at Khan Shatyr. It does cool down at night.

@@shaliniingle8276Kapchagai lake is a 1h drive from Almaty, there should be buses as well, there used to be a really cheap train, but I think it is not working anymore. Also Pervomaiskie Prudy is a small lake super accessible from Almaty.
May i ask how much for entry the amusement park
it cost 5000 tenge, to go both ways, only 3000 tenge one way. The rides you pay individually.
Howz Almaty in winter?
Cold and a pot of snow but not all winter season
Sky resorts is best places to spend time if you like it
