Seems a majority of manufactures are making overbuilt engines these days. Even the small 2.5 TFSI Audi motor can hold around 700 wheel. The 4.0L TFSI has seen over 1100nm crank on upgraded turbos. Chevy got their new 6.2 doing great as well.

It’s slipping clutches bc it can’t handle the power. He can counter it by pulling more timing on the shift but he just didn’t on those passes. Mostly has to do with the trans temperature then it’s abt how much power it can take on the shift
Listen to the DSG stock GT500, it's shifts are instant.. Blue cars clutches are slipping because it's really close to double the stock HP and the stock clutches can't handle the pwr.

Wow, I've been up in the air about getting a new GT-500. I have a 014 Supersnake widebody 1023rwhp built engine, a 20 GT-350R supercharged 926rwhp built engine. Both low 10s looking to get a Whipple 3.8L for both. (Still going to happen) But now watching your passes you've got me thinking about getting a new GT-500. If that's the stock engine I'm I'm wondering what it'll be capable of with a built engine. I don't leave any vehicle I own stock. Since I'm just across the state in Tampa I might be paying you guys a visit real soon.
That gt350 has to sound absolutely amazing. Last time we were down at BMP, my friend brought out her '20 GT500 running high 10's if I remember correctly. We'll be back down this month. I've got a '15 S5 with only a stg1 tune (ecu and trans) which brought me down from a 13.1 to 12.2. Will be doing lower pulley and e40, pretty sure this will get me into the 11's.

That's not the only beast I have, I have a supercharged 66 Backdraft Cobra replica. 2900lbs w/ me in it 903rwhp. No antilock brakes, no traction control, only power steering, want to talk about scary.(what a rush) I've only been able to consistently run high 9s, it has a lot of potential to be faster. But getting it to hook up is the hard part, it'll break the tires loose in the first 3 gears.

That thing would also spin the road race tires in the first 3 gears and was a beast. I can’t imagine it with another 300+HP. With the short wheelbase that thing must want to swap ends in a heartbeat.
Was I hearing things, or were you getting some surge at the top of 3rd and some roll off in 4th? Also, when are you gonna tell us where you got your carbon brake rotors from? I want a set for my GT350R.
Curious what your trans temp was?? And were you cooling down each pass?? The launch is unreal, I guess me personally I would worry about the transmission with this tune, I mean on the street from light to light everything would be cool... on the track I'd worry myself sick, but I'm sure with upgrades and a racing trans cooler would solve that issue ( if it was one) amazing tune and 1 badass mustang, Thanks 4 sharing
I believe there is an LT4 corvette that has gone 8.6 on stock block, tranny and blower. But it has heads/cam. So not quite the same. Still good for the tiny blower LT4's have, and its a much lighter car. Amazing what you can do with factory parts these days.
@@joaquinpaul8205 demon is litterly a 9sec car. Ported, tires, exhaust, headers, pully, and some more easy weight reduced it's damn near that car. Now for redeye and superstock it's the same. Easy 1100hp
@Navy Patriot101 yh cause this 8sec car is gonna go crazy onna course. You do know the redeye is close to gt500 on road courses right. Now drop quality, and comfortability and you'll have a gt500 for cheaper. Also the gt500 is 20k more than redeye. East fix in cornering

How do you know your car is fast? When you watch another GT500 run a mid-10@134mph right after yours and it looks slow!

Fastest stock Gt500 with a filter delete just ran a 10.28. PBD tuned on 93 ran slower at 10.32? Both were in Florida.
We'd be interested in seeing the details on that pass. We had some insane DA in Florida over the weekend so that's believable
