Haha! I installed mine with light side down and was like crap! Then I saw you flips yours over and I was like GENIUS! Thanks for this video! You just saved me from having to buy new foam!
He should have also flipped the whole thing - the optic goes closer to the handle so the weight is not on top of it when being held. It's incorrect in this video.
Thanks for the video. Surprised that when you flipped the foam, you didn't position it so that the scope was on the same side as the case handle, which would have taken pressure off the scope when carrying. Still, exactly what I was looking for in how to fit something in my new case. Bought Plasti Dip to help hold the final configuration.
Yeah the purpose of that extension mount generally is to be able to mount that scope forward toward the barrel. I guess you can use it the other way but it kind of defeats the purpose of having that mount instead of straight vertical rings off the mount...that being said he's put good use to it by keeping his iron sights on there so if his scope gets knocked he can pull it off and still has a backup already mounted.
I rather spray that middle piece of foam with plastic dip on both sides first. And then after it dries outline all that you will put in it with some kiddy playground chalk. And then cut it out with a electric knife it will make it look so much better imo. Thanks
trinhbt it's the Plano Gun Guard Weatherproof case, 42in. long. Most big-box gun stores will have them. Cabela's, Sportsman's Warehouse, ect. I picked this one up at Walmart for sixty or seventy dollars.

Shouldn't the scope be on the handle side so its in the up position while in the carry position
@@richg1221 no because when you open it it’s gonna be upside down
@@AlejandroBonillaBeeche not really I run my AR15 like this so when I open it it’s not upside down

i really hate that pluck foam, you get much better results with solid foam. i wish these manufacturers would give you an option.
brilliand!
Spray it with plasty dip!

You sound a LOT like iDubbz. Even look like him from what we can see lol
Wow you could have just made this video 3mins long...just pull out the centre then get a long fillet knife and cut it out perfectly!!
Why would you use a fillet knife on pick & pluck foam?
What kind of case is that and where did you get it? I need something for my Tavor...

would you prefer this case of a shorter case for a 12 Guage shotgun?
