My eight year old son started to tear up during brown skin girl and when I asked him why he was crying he replied “I don’t know I’m looking at all these beautiful black girls and I just feel like I want to protect them” I asked from what and he replied “From everyone who can’t see how beautiful they are” ......... Well after that the tears just streamed down my face THANKYOU BEYONCÉ 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

I 100% agree. I dont understand why people feel the need to bring down Beyonce for trying to highlight the under appreciated beauty of various African cultures. She put so much effort into researching the different cultures she referenced, and it is obvious she has a personal connection to everything present in the film. This woman. Made something that we dark skinned girls can relate to. Women that were not faded to the background. Unapologetically black. Symbols that we knew, sound we could relate to. As an African American, Otherside touches me the most because it’s about your ancestors watching over you. Our ancestors are all we have, especially sense we’ve been taken from the continent. Beyonce said she yearns for her ancestral connection. As do I. Once I heard “Sokale, sokale, so kale wa”, I broke down and cried. I didn’t even realize what it meant until I researched. Sometimes your spirit just knows.....

The opening scene already made me cry. I watched the entire time gasping and sometimes madly crying. The Oshun energy among other things. Confirmed my journey and other people’s. She did an incredible job... I won’t ever be able to live this energy down✨💛🌻
I don't even have the words to describe the level of artistry, vision & work that went into this creation from everyone who was involved. Beyonce just keeps elevating the game & is showing the true royalty and beauty that is Africa. We all should return to the motherland since usa don't want us to be great and all are welcome to join us if you believe in peace and the beauty of Africa!

Special effects are so perfect and credible that they go hand in hand with Disney, everything .. Everything, everything is credible but at the same time very magical, it is to turn reality into something magical because everything you see is nothing invented or fantasy and even so it seems ✨🙈
Telling a story and exposing the roots of a black culture far above the black panthers and taking us to the most feared African tribes in all history and being part of it, was an experience without words, it is everything with everything, there is light, feeling, love, joy, fun, darkness, there is everything. It shows that they invested a lot of money in this project and it is a great winner ... I think it is also knocking on the door to the Oscars ceremony you have to see it because yes, it is necessary 🥺❤

We need knowledge of our lands of origin of OUR ancestors, more representation, More Melanin!
