You are right. we also use ですけど when we ask sth politely. like ・〇〇をさがしているんですけど... (しっていますか？） I am looking for 〇〇... (Hmmm Do you know where it is?) We tend to omit the rest. ・おねがいがあるんですけど...（いいですか？） I have a favor to ask ... (Hmmm Is it ok?)
I’m curious that why many Japanese don’t speak English in Japan …. There are lots of American military facilities in Japan but most Japanese don’t speak English. Can you tell me why ?
We study English at school but only reading and listening. and we never practice speaking English. That's why we know English but most of us can not SPEAK English😭 Japanese Educational system is the problem 😌 hehe
It's like us learning a foreign language, we are much better at reading the foreign language than listening. Plus, there are so many different accents of English out there, it can get difficult for people who are not native to comprehend
