- Today I take you along to the Incline Railway while I am on a photo walk with my Leica SL2 mirrorless camera and on this day I am also using the 26mm f8 pancalke lens from Panasonic that Hassan sent me to test out.
The city of Lookout mountain is a wonderful town on top of lookout mountain that has several tourist stops for the city of Chattanooga on it. There is the Incline as well as the the Point park military park and some other things like Rock City and such. It is interesting and I love walking the streets of this town with my camera.
Follow along with me as I walk a few miles of this town and share some photos I gather along the way and discuss the things I notice while on this photo walk.
If you want to buy me a cup of coffee (I drink a lot of coffee if you have not noticed...) here is the link for that:

It is another really interesting video . Wonderful photography too. Thank you for your efforts and time.
I enjoy going into old Brewery's, Aircraft Carriers and Historical Museums which shows the ingenuity of equipment that were used in the past. Cheers!
Hi David, I love lookout mountain, when I see pictures of the mountain from Chattanooga I enjoy that. Thanks David
That was cool, David! I definitely need to go downstairs and have a look around next time. I visit the upper incline.
Hey David, at 6:18 you will see the absolute difference in the sections of the USA. Here's what I mean, a lady's pocketbook is sitting, open, unprotected, in clear view and accessible to the public, and no one stole it. Here in Manhattan that pocketbook would be viewed by a thief as 1) setup bait by the Police 2) stolen. Never take for granted the beautiful area of this country you live in. PS, I can tell by your photography you truly admire "your neck of the woods". Be well :)
Another great photo walk video. Lookout Mountain has been on my list to visit next time.
You won’t be disappointed, it is a great place to visit! If you want to do a photowalk on top of the mountain then I recommend to ride the incline up, walk to point park and then when done, ride the incline back down.
There are a lot of houses with the open soffit and 1×4 roofs in the little town I lived in until I was around 12 years old and they were built in the 40's...I wish they still used 1×4 roof decking.. I bet if you measure the lumber in those old houses, the 1×4's are actually 1×4 instead of .75×3.50...We get cheated now on lumber..lol..Nice shots! Seems to be a nice lens.
David, I always enjoy some of the context and history you put into your videos. Nice video.
Thank you! I appreciate you taking the time to watch.
Another great photo walk! I need to get up there myself. Thanks! For taking us along!
Thank you Tim, I have another trip up there that involves about 4 miles of hiking that makes a loop that I can share with you as well.
First house that I bought had Asbestos Sidings with little insulation. It was so BAD that You can hear Your Neighbors talking from across the street. Cheers!
Now. That IS Bad!!!
As always a very nice doco. Apparently a lot of trams were cable driven, is LA still cable driven? Looking at an M8 body, I'll pray for strength.
The M8 is that goldilocks M camera with a CCD sensor and not having the corrosion problems of the M9. Just dont forget that it is APSC and your good to go. I kinda want one too just to be honest. 😬🤷🏻♂️📸 I am not sure about LA though, never been there.
Great Camera. I love it. I use an adapter from other camera systems with their lenses and it is enjoyable to use. M Glass are smaller and very portable. On the 35mm Voigtlander I have the UV Filter to have a better exposure. I bought three extra batteries and they last a long time. Cheers!
So I was walking my dog and passed a fire hydrant and guess where it was built. It's the same builder In one of your videos. Want to make a guess? Cheers!
Mueller from either Chattanooga or Albertville AL if I am guessing. 😎👍
@@davidsaylors Albertville AL it is.
