I mean.. Making a game is probably the hardest. I know from experience
Especially since if you want cutscenes then you have to make multiple "short films" to go along with the game!

The animation is definitely rough and definitely could use some smoothing around the corners, but this is still a phenomenal video and a really good take on the original cutscene, would love to see more!!

Agree with the rough animations, but man I gotta respect the work you put into this as a single person. The original dialogue / story ideas, the camera angles you were going for. This is how a remake should be like and I could be happy if (the future hypothetical person in charge of that) directs these cutscenes like you did.

I love the creative approach you took to Tooty being captured, felt a lot more personal with Banjo being barely too slow to save her! Great work with this animation.
I agree with you. Don't get me wrong. I have no issues with the original intro. But this remastered version of the intro was more exciting, especially when Banjo almost immediately got up and ran out of the house to try and save Tooty, only to be barely too late, not that it stopped him from going after Gruntilda and Tooty, nor did his lack of fighting experience. ❤ It's more relatable too, because I'm sure we all would rush to save our loved ones almost immediately. 💕
Love the retelling of Tooty’s kidnapping. I like how Banjo actually tried to saved her. I’m looking forward to more retelling cut scenes from the games. Great job 👊🏼

Wow, this is great! Instead of Banjo being so lazy that he completely misses Tooty’s capture, he gets up immediately and tries to save her. A much needed improvement over the actual intro in the game.

So well done. It makes the tension super high here I love it
While some spots definitely need a bit of work, you have lots of potential! This is pretty close to how'd imagine a Banjo-Kazooie modern remaster cutscene playing out.
An opening I've had memorized by heart for decades and you made it even MORE impactful and effective!

Nicely done video! Reinterpreting the kidnapping as an on-screen event that Banjo tries to stop is a more dynamic approach to the whole matter.
Love how fans always put more love into remaking/remastering their childhood games than the companys that own these games today and that could make a fortune out of those games ..
Amazing job! I would love to see more shorts like these in blender, I know it's tedious af but the results sure are worth it!

My only caveat to this is that Kazooie should have had some sarcastic remark when she said that she wanted to go on an adventure too. Like Tootie asking "really?" And Kazooie responding. "No! Now let me sleep!"

You're one to talk, Kazooie; from what I remember in the original game, you guys didn't even know about Grunty until Bottles explained the plot to you. And your house is right next to mountain carved in the shape of her face! :P
This needs way more, I mean WAY more views, because this is beautiful!

You are using Lumion right? I don’t really know much about that sorry… but in Blender I found an MMD model online and reset my preferences so that it would be compatible. As for textures I left it relatively the same for the most part except for any shot with Gruntilda’s lair. For those shots I adjusted the lighting settings in workbench that more naturally blended the rock cliffs with the lair. All characters that are in these shots are on a green screen in order to maintain continuity in lighting. After which I jumped into premier pro where I was free to tweak the colours further without affecting the characters.

@@LankyTurtleMedia Legend thanks for that found the MMD file and found an online translator to import it into C4D.. Had to manually retexture which wasnt too bad.. Have brought it into lumion and its starting to look good.. Keep an eye out I will post this in the next few days! Let me know if you need any models.

Looks great, and recreates the intro nicely, while adding a few new different touches. Though, I kinda wish it still had the throwing and splat sound effect when Gruntilda picks her nose, and flicks a booger away.

very nice animation, i liked the retold story such as tooty jumping on banjos bed and the dramatic climax as tooty tries avoiding grunty while banjo dose put a effort to save her. oh and this bit 2:51 which was a re-animated sephiroth reviel expression. i hope you make more cutscenes for this game and hopefully tooie.
This could be the perfect cutscene in the Playstation version of BK.

This is an amazing animation of a game from my childhood. Even if I think it feels too rooted in its N64 roots and too herky jerky in some places, it’s still an improvement over the original and would fit within a Banjo-Kazooie HD remake.

This was great, for just one guy! With some polishing up, some work on the framerate, and a little more expression with the faces, this could pass for official studio work.

One of these days we are going to wake up and it will all finally make sense when we have a bk/bt remaster...it is beyond me ik we are surely getting it on the switch at least but man bk & bt are 2 of my favorite all time games and would be incredible to play those games with updated graphics...i mean we got spyro trilogy and spyro didnt even originate on nintendo...what do bk fans need to do rare? Microsoft?

Well done. Very well done in fact. My only "complaint" is just a nitpick, you could've made the characters blink. But to be fair, I can understand 3D models not being easy to work with.
Wow this is amazing! Did you make the models?Thay look like the official. I guess you could improve Grunty's model a bit. Try to match the lighting and the colors saturation to the original artwork. I would love to see many episodes in the future.
