Great watch! 😉..and thanks for the list of parts and upgrades! I have a Vostro 3910 i5 12th Gen which is pretty much the same! ..can the power supply be upgraded to anything but a Dell one!? .i read that the motherboard and power supply are both proprietary! ..is that true!?
Thanks for the info on the power supply. When you said you were putting a 1030 in there I wondered why when you might have picked an RX 6400 or a GTX 1650
Thank you so much for the upgrade information on here. If after installing the discrete graphics card, will the integrated graphics card still be able to support one or both of the hdmi/display port video outputs? Theoretically will the system be able to handle three or four outputs with an i5 processor?
Is it even possible to upgrade the power supply to standard type? Doesn't look like the case will allow a standard one without dremeling out a hole for it to fit.
Hello! Some of the listed 180watt graphics cards you put in description say minimum 300 watt requirement. Also the MSI you listed is currently unavailable on the Amazon link. Can you point me in the right direction for Dell 3910 with 180w supply.
Anyone swapped out the PSU? I need to upgrade the stock 180W PSU to 300W-ish so I can use a GTX 1050Ti, but I hear the MOBO PSU pin layout is different from ATX PSUs etc 😐
On the Inspiron 3910 with 180 watt power supply, can you upgrade to a i7 12700 CPU which has a base TDP (PL1) of 65 watts and a max turbo TDP (PL2) of 180 watts? If this is not possible, what would be the fastest CPU to install? Would a 12600 with Base TDP of 65 watts and a Maximum Turbo Power of 117 watts work on the Inspiron 3910 with a 180 watt power supply?
well done , I want ask you question I have gigabyte GT 1030 OC temp on 100% usage reach 75° my room temp 30° is this temp safe or should i change thermal paste? thanks Mr Mxkdi
Hi, yes you can change thermal paste arctic mx4 on the video card and you have to add rear system fan to make PC run cooler and remove fan shroud plastic black peace. Simple Deluxe 80mm Quiet USB Fan with Multi-Speed Controller amzn.to/3jgHxiI
why would Dell put a shroud that leads into the back of the case while in the bottom there's a PSU that exhaust the hot air onto the back.. the hot air that PSU dump rise up and gets sucked by the cpu cooler
Dell really doesn't want you to upgrade the PC they sold you... as well as majority of other OEMs. Cool video, but that's just so much you can upgrade with resorting to hacks with PSU or trying to get more powerful one with a similar connector from eBay or Amazon.

why would Dell put a shroud that leads into the back of the case while in the bottom there's a PSU that exhaust the hot air onto the back.. the hot air that PSU dump rise up and gets sucked by the cpu cooler
In practise, only a small bit of heat gets sucked in. It will still be better than to have the cpu cooler use the warm in-case air with no duct.
