Another great install, Mark. Thanks for making the video. I agree that tails in the meter cab should be double-insulated as it is accessible to anyone effectively. Just out of interest, I noticed at 16:45 that it looks like the DNO supply is from a single-phase, pole-mounted transformer (not certain, but the proximity of the pole suggested it). Given the rural location and supply from an overhead network, I wonder if you had considered fitting a Type 1 SPD to complement the Type 2 devices on the Gateway and the Proteus DB due to the enhanced risk of direct lightning strikes?

Another splendid video. Great you share the other installers also.
I've a Sigenergy system which is what first brought you to my attention. It's way ahead of all else on the market. But you don't need me to tell you that. Lucky customers to have found you, among the best installer I have seen. Sadly I was not so lucky on that front and may well be in touch soon to discuss how you can help a daft old fool with that.

      Very kind thank you.
We try really hard to deliver good quality. Sigenergy is right up there on that front.
The app, monitoring and now web portal really detailed especially the real time monitoring.
One of my customers who's install is on the channel actually. Is a software wizard. He does ever coding in his day job and owns a very successful business. He tells me it's among the very best and he would know having played around with most kit at that level.
Glad you find the content useful and intrigued to hear more about the install you had done! Hope it wasn't one of my solar friends?!?!?!?

how have you found the tigo units , i had the previous generation for 380w pannels but had a couple of failures due to batch issues, fair go to tigo they notified my installer of the problem in generation and my installer actually called and told me of the failures before i even knew there was a problem, the headache was getting the panels off 3 floors up, requiring yet again a scafold tower, now that im moving back due to end of contract, to the uk i was wondering what the newer gen are like for 500w pannels which aren't yet supported by the other brands for optimisation or generation to ac,

Interesting and informative video. I’ve settled on the Sigenergy system. I’m currently looking for quotes for it with solar. Do you quote for West Yorkshire? Thanks

I’m sure Mark would be more than happy to quote for West Yorkshire! There should be a link to get in touch on his website 🙌 I really like the Sig it ticks all the boxes for me

Good video thanks. How are you finding the SIgenergy hardware? I've become a little dubious as if you use the AI (which is a key selling point that they promote) you can't get the full 10 year warranty on the batteries as they are based on total throughput. It's more like 6-8 years, which makes it compare poorly to other big brands. Supposedly the software is very buggy as well, in that it has trouble reporting data consumption and similar. Seems to be an ongoing issue as it has been brought up a lot on their facebook UK group. I have a new install going in this month and was all set on Sigenergy. Double guessing myself now.

Not a single issue at all. Other than a raft of very happy customers. The warranty also compares well with most other brands which all have varied warranty complexities based on use etc. Some even require dial in checks to extend warranties beyond 5 years. Most have Facebook groups full of complaints from customers. The nature of the beast people generally go online to complain. The silent majority happily get on with enjoying the benefits. Same for all brands tbh and we install most.
The best ones we fit won't be a surprise givenergy, sigenergy and tesla.
