👋Hope you enjoyed part 11 🤗. In part 12 I will make the first km's in Greece , I will follow the entire coast till the border with Turkey, which are a lot of Kilometres 🚵☺ If you are curious for some extra content and exclusive insights checkout my patreon: www.patreon.com/untraveledroads and if you want to support me by making more projects like the bike odyssey subscribe to my channel - Thank you 🤗🙏
This road looks stunning! I bet it is amazing to hike there as well. I am glad you found something beautiful and changed your mind about Albania. I believe every country has good and bad parts and travelling by bike allows you to see all parts of it: the good and the bad.
@@UntraveledRoadsOfficial now enjoy your greece where you will see the same people the same climate the same nature more or less the same infrastructure but with the prices three times bigger
@@UntraveledRoadsOfficial Northern Albania is magnificent too...in your videos I don't see images of Albanian alps there in the noth is also the shala river one of the most beautiful in Europe...it looks like you only filmed the irrigation ditches to present them as rivers and the trash cans
Hi, thanks for the comment. On this tour I biked mainly on the coast from the border to Montenegro till the border with Greece, and I filmed what I saw there along the way. I have although another project planned in 2023, where I will hike around the albanian alps and I am really excited for this I heard a lot of amazing stories and saw amazing pictures.
Hi, really enjoyed your video's, nice work and gives a good impression on your journey, the highs and difficulties. This summer I did roughly the same trail from your episode 4 (Ljubljana) till nr 11 (Igoumenitsu), but started in Holland. You're right: a lot of heat, heavy climbing but awfully nice surroundings, very nice people and interesting history and cultures.
Hi Frank, I am really glad you liked the videos! Thank you for the kind words 😊 Cycling next to the coast is definitely an amazing thing to do anywhere, especially in summer when you can stop and take a dip here and there. How was it from Holland to Ljubljana?
@@UntraveledRoadsOfficial Germany and Austria are great countries to cycle around. Easy going, nice people, good cycle pathes and great nature. But the Balkan countries where without any doubts the highlights.
The part that shocked you is the northwest of the country. That is that part that got affected the most from the unregulated capitalism that occurred during the transition years. That’s why the road and drainage infrastructure are in horrible conditions. Not everywhere though but at a lot of places. The other parts of the north, not the plains, are as beautiful as the rest of Albania.
Hey, thanks for your comment 🙏. Very interesting - just read a bit about the transition years. I plan next year to return to Albania for a different project which should bring me then also to the other parts, especially up the mountains and the North.
