An absolutely fantastic actor. As good as he was in “Joker,” his performance in “The Master,” was one for the ages. Just incredible. His life has not been easy and full of tragedy. I love his protection of animals - his acceptance speech for ‘Joker” was absolutely superb. Glad he has a lovely lady who loves him in his life. Truly an inspiration!

I dont really understand why people see acting as a competition. Different movies, different scripts, different directors, different artistic direction. While the character maybe the same everything else is different. Each performance can stand on its own without the need to diminish the others.
Just finished watching Joker. Joaquin is by far the most amazing acting talent of this century! The performance in Joker wasn't an easy task. I wasn't famous, but was a child actor and it alters your life forever. To transition from youth to adult talent is remarkable. Hoping to see Mr. Phoenix taking home an Oscar. It will be nothing by well deserved.
He has truly lived a hard life, and I’m just so happy he has finally found peace and love in his life. Although I think this video gives some good inside, I don’t think it tells enough about the impact Rivers death had on him. River was the rock of the family, and the leader and role model for his younger siblings. Joaquin can only now talk about him (shortly). And their sister, Rain, has only now gotten so far in the healing process that she has accepted it, and now been able to make an album in Rivers honor. It is truly a heartbreaking story. On another note, I wish the people would take down the leaked audio of Joaquin’s 911 call!! It is beyond disrespectful that it’s still out there!!

I know Joaquin from since he played the bad guy from Gladiator (awesome performance). I did not knew River Phoenix was his brother. River was a rising star and also the best friend of Keanu Reeves. Keanu was devastated when River died.
He is a great actor. I think sometimes an actor goes through such heartache and breaking of the soul, it gives them something to draw from when performing. It's undoubtedly, heartwrenching and truly sad that he's had to go through these things. I bet he feels, working extremely hard wanting to do his best and make River proud of him. It's probably why he shuts down so much. What an icon he is!

To be honest, watching this I also forgot his brother River. I didn't really know much about River until I saw him in Indiana Jones 3 , and thought he was great, but that's all and about his unfortunate death, I never saw Stand By Me or any other film or TV he may have been in and knew nothing about Joaquin until I saw him in The Gladiator and Signs film.

Plus river was booked for interview for a vampire (with Tom cruise AND Brad Pitt) he was also booked the for the basketball diaries which went to Leo after rivers death. Plus the director of the titanic said river was they’re first pic for the film until he dies of course.

The joker movie trailer is one of The best trailers ever, even if the movies bad the trailer is great.
The recent Godzilla preview was wonderful.
Once the movie is released, no one cares how awesome the trailer was.
It's ironic that a guy like Phoenix, who's a social activist, vegan, defender of animal rights, pacifist and humanitarian, is playing a character like The Joker.

An absolutely fantastic actor. As good as he was in “Joker,” his performance in “The Master,” was one for the ages. Just incredible. His life has not been easy and full of tragedy. I love his protection of animals - his acceptance speech for ‘Joker” was absolutely superb. Glad he has a lovely lady who loves him in his life. Truly an inspiration!

I dont really understand why people see acting as a competition. Different movies, different scripts, different directors, different artistic direction. While the character maybe the same everything else is different. Each performance can stand on its own without the need to diminish the others.
Just finished watching Joker. Joaquin is by far the most amazing acting talent of this century! The performance in Joker wasn't an easy task. I wasn't famous, but was a child actor and it alters your life forever. To transition from youth to adult talent is remarkable. Hoping to see Mr. Phoenix taking home an Oscar. It will be nothing by well deserved.

He has truly lived a hard life, and I’m just so happy he has finally found peace and love in his life.
Although I think this video gives some good inside, I don’t think it tells enough about the impact Rivers death had on him. River was the rock of the family, and the leader and role model for his younger siblings. Joaquin can only now talk about him (shortly). And their sister, Rain, has only now gotten so far in the healing process that she has accepted it, and now been able to make an album in Rivers honor. It is truly a heartbreaking story.
On another note, I wish the people would take down the leaked audio of Joaquin’s 911 call!! It is beyond disrespectful that it’s still out there!!

I know Joaquin from since he played the bad guy from Gladiator (awesome performance). I did not knew River Phoenix was his brother. River was a rising star and also the best friend of Keanu Reeves. Keanu was devastated when River died.

He is a great actor. I think sometimes an actor goes through such heartache and breaking of the soul, it gives them something to draw from when performing. It's undoubtedly, heartwrenching and truly sad that he's had to go through these things. I bet he feels, working extremely hard wanting to do his best and make River proud of him. It's probably why he shuts down so much. What an icon he is!
