I noticed, he only spawns about 2-3 crystals in this video, but in my run, he spawns 6-12 every time, making the crystal phase SIGNIFICANTLY longer than this.
This happened to us too. Tried several times, couldn't beat him. Looked up videos. Videos made it look easy. Tried again, following all advice from the videos. I was on nonstop crystal duty and still couldn't keep up. My partner just attacked and attacked and attacked. He never lost more than 5% health before crystals brought him up again. It feels ridiculous. We don't have the sword and pickaxe he has in the video so I guess we'll get those and try again.
All great info! Appreciate all the hard work as always Ryan! One thing I did. I got lucky and had the scythe for this fight. With the healing debuff, you can almost ignore the crystals he summons. Especially if you can stay on him and just truck him down quickly. Also, I didnt really dodge the beams, just used the shield to block and they don't hurt too much so you can keep on him easier
Question, do you recommend setting up a mini base near this boss? I need to find the ancient pick axe but I have scarlet. I've still not found the place for the ancient pickaxe yet but tonight I'll grind for it
It's not necessary. Azeos is the only way to get the ancient pickaxe now. I'd recommend setting up a base in the wilderness though to make it easier when exploring there.
Broken handle was found in Azeos' Wilderness, but can also be dropped by bosses including Azeos himself. The chipped blade can be found in sealed temples in Azeos' Wilderness that require a glow tulip to open. The clear gemstone can be found in small maze structures in the Forgotten Ruins or in Azeos' Wilderness. Ancient gemstones are uncommon drops from a lot of enemies. You'll need to purchase the Rune Parchment from the caveling merchant after you activate the core.
They're scattered all over Azeos' Wilderness unfortunately. With each map being randomized, can't really give a specific location. You'll notice them on the map as they look like skulls.
Absolutely! You just need to craft another 'Large Shiny Glimmering Object'. Take it back to his location & place it down again. You'll need to make sure he's there first by making sure you see his shadow of him flying overhead.
its literally impossible to beat if you playing multiplayer with 2+ players, it just keeps spawning those crystals atleast 8 at a time, and if you dont have ancient px its gg
All of the boss difficulty is increased significantly with multiplayer! I'd definitely recommend utilizing guardian & greater healing potions and rare foods with increased buffs. Rune Song will definitely help as well!
@@OriginalRyan They usually take out us with the crystals xd, we also tried to make arena to be in the shape of net, to remove all places that contain 4 blocks for crystals to spawn, but they just make a ground under themselves, so yeah Grub mother was hard as hell too, the quantity of spawned enemies was to high, for 4 players we could fill the whole area with mobs, so basically any boss with 4 players is almost impossible to beat, because the game difficulty scaling is so bad right now, they just multiply boss health and every attack to quantity of players, so you will basically fight against 3-4 bosses at one time, and every attack almost oneshots you with the best armor you can have at that level of the game, so its very frustrating Btw, sorry for my english, its not my native language
Geez! Hopefully they address the difficulty scaling goin forward! That sounds frustrating. I know Ghorm & Glurch were significantly more difficult even with just two players.
Guardian potions, greater healing potions. Food that increases damage against bosses & reduces damage from bosses. I highly recommend the Rune Song or Poisonous Sickle as well. Double check your skills as well & make sure they're setup for fighting. You'll get it, just keep working on skills & food buffs that help!

They may have increased the difficulty of the bosses because they were super easy before.

We found out later, it had something to do with Multiplayer scaling being WONKY with this boss.
Multiplayer is definitely increased difficulty for bosses.
Yep! I noticed a significant increase in boss difficulty during multiplayer.

Nice! Sickle is a nice weapon to negate his healing! His hits don't really don't do too much if you only take a random hit here & there.
That looked much easier than the first time I saw you fight him
🤣 A lot easier when you know what to do!
Thanks for the help!
"easy fight"
me: *dies immediately 2 times in a row *
They've changed the fight a lot since this video was made. I've not gone to try it again though.
@@OriginalRyan good to know
For extra safety use ground instead of bridges to fill in the arena since he can't break them
Great tip! 👊

@@OriginalRyan and hey, if you don't set up a base that running skill is gonna be beefy.
True 😆 if the boredom doesn't get ya!
He spawns so many crystals now.. in this video he looks like he only spawns one or 2 at a time.
I haven't gotten back in awhile, he was pretty easy early on unless it was multiplayer. They likely made bosses more difficult.
Is it just me or HOW DO YOU GET THE SWORD?

Damn that was fast
Hopefully getting those resources will be fast for you!
So im trying to find this jungle temple thing and i have no idea what or where it is

Is there a way to resummon him after you've killed him ?

Dumb question for you but how is your fighting area so bright? Am I just overlooking torches and what not?
The area was already well lit for me, but after getting Azeos' soul power & using it, it lights up any area after it procs.

@@OriginalRyan Nah, we just cant keep up with the crystals, gonna do it myself offline, but thanks
Ok, have you tried bombs so you can try to take out multiple crystals?

I try 2x and loose. You kill Azeos maybe 20x, and now it is easy.

It's so much harder on coop!
I thought they changed the boss fights to try & balance them out?
Heads up super outdated
thanks for the detailed info video! probably the best review
Much appreciated necrotenshi! We'll have more soon!
