I have been searching for a good tutorial for this exact thing FOREVER...thanks so much!!! And your model just happens to be the exact size needed as well....lol❤
Bonnie is the perfect little model. Nice yarn choice! I plan to gift this to an adult. It will be a surprise so I don’t know the exact measurement. She’s small stature and petite.
Thank you for the tutorial!! Shrug/boleros are so in trend right now! I would love to make one for myself but with a much longer sleeves, basically ones that could cover my hands. How do I get the measurement for that? Thank you!!
Thanks for watching! To make it longer to cover your hands, your starting chain will need to be longer. Measure from one hand, up your arm, across your shoulders, down other arm, and to your other hand. This length will be your starting chain length. Hope this helps!
Yes, ma'am. Elbow to elbow with arms out, most yarns will stretch so this ended up the perfect length for what I wanted. Of course, I'd you'd like it longer you can do that as well.
@@crochetandballet on the one she’s wearing in the video did you do the bottom part of the sleeves separately and then connected them? I love the bottom parts. Is it just worked through the front loop to get the ripple look?
Hi thank you so much for the tutorial! I love this so much! I was wondering I want the sleeves to hit pretty long to the half way point of my hands should I measure to that length or should I measure wrist to wrist to allow the yarn to stretch? I was also wondering if I could do BLO on the DCs to create a ribbed effect?
For the shrug she is wearing in this one I made 16 rows .....you can do as many or few rows as needed to go around the arms of the person you are making it for. To measure length, measure from elbow to elbow To measure width, measure around the biggest part of the arm

She is, thank you😊
In my opinion, a little bit big is better than too small, and I think this will make a great gift!

@@crochetandballet Thank you so much for your reply!! I would really like to make one with boucle yarn so will start right away when it arrives 😍
That sounds beautiful and will be super soft and comfy!
hi! may i know how much yarn u needed for this? 😁
So are you measuring it from elbow to elbow with the arms out? I first thought it was arm along your body and then measure elbow to elbow.
Yes, ma'am. Elbow to elbow with arms out, most yarns will stretch so this ended up the perfect length for what I wanted. Of course, I'd you'd like it longer you can do that as well.

Thank you so much! The yarn will definitely stretch so I would measure wrist to wrist. And absolutely you can do the BLO for a ribbed effect
@@crochetandballet thank you so much! ☺️
I'm going to make this thank you. Where did you get the tree? It's so cool.
Awesome! I love our tree too! It's one of a kind made by my husband 💕
@@crochetandballet I almost asked if it was made. It's cool.

👏👏👏👏👏👏❤❤❤❤❤
NYC but mentoined size according chains please
The starting chain should be the length from elbow, across the back, and to the other elbow of the person you are making it for. I hope this helps!
@@crochetandballet so sweet TYSM
Arm length??
Sorry, the background music is too irritating. I'll b/b when you post without the distraction. 😊
