Nowhere does it say we all will ascend into heaven. It actually says the exact opposite and heaven will descend to us. If Noah and his family were righteous, why didn’t God take them up into heaven rather than keep them on earth while he cleansed it of the wicked people?

Ok, I stopped the clip halfway, I have so much questions! How come Eastern Orthodoxy believes a lot of the things (Mary was sinless, she was the perpetual virgin) you describe were not declared until way later than the East West Schism. How can that be unless either the doctrine pre-existed or they are still following Rome? You mentioned that the assumption of Mary was declared in 1944. I find that really remarkable, since that during the second world war. Why would they declare this right in the middle of a war they were in the middle of?
Catholics believe that they are saved by Grace and Faith through Christ Alone but there needs to be an act or response to that and living out life to pursue becoming Christ-like. Protestants just have a misunderstanding of what Catholics believe cause they both believe the same thing but protestants just have simplified it and assume ''''everyone''' would just start to try grow in their life and do good works instilled by Gods plan for us but its not talked about that not everyone does this when they have faith alone. It all comes down to authority, where does it come from and who has it? According to Protestant tradition the Bible has authority. Then why is it used to contradict itself? Eph 2:8-9 states "For by grace you have been saved through faith; and this is not your own doing, it is the gift of God- not because of works, lest any man should boast." After the presenter lambastes the Mass, use of candles and the witness of the saints claiming that one is saved totally by faith in the grace of God, only. Verse 10 reads, "For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them." Which is it: works are useless according to Protestant tradition or is what we do ordered to the glory and honor of Jesus Christ to carry out His Plan of Salvation (good works) in accord with Catholic tradition found in Mt 28:19-20? Where does the authority come from and who has it? If it rests in the Bible then, why can it be so easily manipulated? Manipulation of the words of Scripture has led to over 30,000 Protestant denominations with a variety of biblical interpretations all claiming to profess the truth. There is a significant amount of overlap. The Bible recounts that Jesus gave authority over His Church on earth to Peter by giving him the keys to the Kingdom of Heaven (Mt 16:17-19; see, Is 22:22). Using the same verbiage He gave the Apostles the same authority as well, sans the keys (Mt 18:18). He further gave them the authority to forgive sins (Jn 20:23). At the Lord's Supper, He also gave His apostles the authority and the command to do as He did, transform bread and wine into His Body and Blood in remembrance of Him (Lk 22:17-20). He promised that He (Mt 28:20) would with them and the Holy Spirit would guide them to all truth (Jn 14:16-17). The Apostles and elders exercised that authority as they decided what to do about the Judaizers, who claimed that one had to become a Jew before he became a Christian (Mt 15). They exercised that authority in 393AD when at the Council of Hippo when bishops (successors of the apostles, see Acts 1:16-23) discerned and declared the canon of the New Testament. What had been committed to letters (epistles) had been orally taught. Not one letter that this in the New Testament was written before 51AD. How did people come to hear the Good News? Oral teaching and preaching, in other words what had been handed on by the Apostles, what is known as, Tradition. "God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you" (Rom 6:17). "Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings" (1 Tim 6:20). The apostles and their successors have been given a sacred trust, one of which they were fully aware. That is to faithfully pass on the teachings of Jesus whether orally or in written form. Transubstantiation is the term that was developed to described what happens when the Holy Spirit through the priest transforms bread and wine into Jesus' Body and Blood. Transubstantiation is what Jesus proclaimed as an absolute necessity to have eternal life and be raised on the last day (Jn 6:35-58). At the Lord's Supper He changed bread into His Body and wine into His Blood giving His apostles the authority and command to do likewise in memory of Him (Lk 22:17-20). Paul teaches the reality and meaning of transubstantiation (1 Cor 10:16-17, 1Cor 11:23-29). Catholics worship the Eucharist because we believe what Jesus proclaimed and Paul teaches about transubstantiation. Protestant tradition does not. As it is with transubstantiation, the term "Purgatory" is not in the Bible, but the reality is: "According to the commission of God given to me, like a skilled master builder I laid a foundation, and another man is building upon it. Let each man take care how he builds upon it. For no other foundation can any one lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ. Now if any one builds on the foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble- each man’s work will become manifest; for the Day will disclose it, because it will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test what sort of work each one has done. If the work which any man has built on the foundation survives, he will receive a reward. If any man’s work is burned up, he will suffer loss, though he himself will be saved, but only as through fire" (1 Cor 3:10-15). God gave man work to do: “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth and subdue it...till and keep the Garden" (Gen 1:28, 2:15). At the end his life. "God will render to every man according to his works: to those who by patience in well-doing seek for glory and honor and immortality, He will give eternal life; but for those who are factious and do not obey the truth, but obey wickedness, there will be wrath and fury. There will be tribulation and distress for every human being who does evil, the Jew first and also the Greek. (Rm 2:6-9). Purgatory is not a second chance. It is a great mercy because it purifies us as a furnace purifies gold and silver. There are many, many examples of those who have been granted great privileges by God: Noah, Abraham, Moses, Joshua, the judges, the prophets, King David, Paul of Tarsus to name a few. Did any of these great actors in God's Plan of Salvation ride a donkey while nine months pregnant, give birth to the Messiah, hear the prophecy of Simeon, live through the horror of not knowing where their son was for three day, or witness Him get killed? The greatest actor in all of Salvation history (in all of history), second only to Jesus, is Mary of Nazareth. It was she and only she who was chosen to bring the Second Person of the Blessed Trinity into the world as a human person. Jesus never cease to be God, as the Mother of Jesus she is properly referred to as the Mother of God. She was overshadowed by the Holy Spirit for Jesus to be in her womb. Joseph was a righteous man knew well about the east gate proclaimed by Ezekiel (44:1-3) and would no have violated it. Jesus "brothers and sisters" were His cousins or close relatives. Elisha was taken up to heaven in a chariot. Since the great prophet Elijah can be assumed into heaven, shouldn't the woman who bore and raised Jesus be granted the same privilege. Moses, Jeremiah, and John the Baptist were purified in the womb because of the great work in God's Plan each would be called to do. How difficult is it to conceive that Mary could be and was purified at the moment of her conception? Purified in anticipation of the greatest calling than any human person would have to be the Mother of the Son of God. Jesus gave His apostles and in turn their successors the authority to make such proclamations with the assurance that the Holy Spirit would guide their discernment.

Nowhere does it say we all will ascend into heaven. It actually says the exact opposite and heaven will descend to us. If Noah and his family were righteous, why didn’t God take them up into heaven rather than keep them on earth while he cleansed it of the wicked people?

How come Eastern Orthodoxy believes a lot of the things (Mary was sinless, she was the perpetual virgin) you describe were not declared until way later than the East West Schism. How can that be unless either the doctrine pre-existed or they are still following Rome?
You mentioned that the assumption of Mary was declared in 1944. I find that really remarkable, since that during the second world war. Why would they declare this right in the middle of a war they were in the middle of?

Catholics believe that they are saved by Grace and Faith through Christ Alone but there needs to be an act or response to that and living out life to pursue becoming Christ-like. Protestants just have a misunderstanding of what Catholics believe cause they both believe the same thing but protestants just have simplified it and assume ''''everyone''' would just start to try grow in their life and do good works instilled by Gods plan for us but its not talked about that not everyone does this when they have faith alone. It all comes down to authority, where does it come from and who has it? According to Protestant tradition the Bible has authority. Then why is it used to contradict itself? Eph 2:8-9 states "For by grace you have been saved through faith; and this is not your own doing, it is the gift of God- not because of works, lest any man should boast." After the presenter lambastes the Mass, use of candles and the witness of the saints claiming that one is saved totally by faith in the grace of God, only. Verse 10 reads, "For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them." Which is it: works are useless according to Protestant tradition or is what we do ordered to the glory and honor of Jesus Christ to carry out His Plan of Salvation (good works) in accord with Catholic tradition found in Mt 28:19-20?
Where does the authority come from and who has it? If it rests in the Bible then, why can it be so easily manipulated? Manipulation of the words of Scripture has led to over 30,000 Protestant denominations with a variety of biblical interpretations all claiming to profess the truth. There is a significant amount of overlap.
The Bible recounts that Jesus gave authority over His Church on earth to Peter by giving him the keys to the Kingdom of Heaven (Mt 16:17-19; see, Is 22:22). Using the same verbiage He gave the Apostles the same authority as well, sans the keys (Mt 18:18). He further gave them the authority to forgive sins (Jn 20:23). At the Lord's Supper, He also gave His apostles the authority and the command to do as He did, transform bread and wine into His Body and Blood in remembrance of Him (Lk 22:17-20). He promised that He (Mt 28:20) would with them and the Holy Spirit would guide them to all truth (Jn 14:16-17).
The Apostles and elders exercised that authority as they decided what to do about the Judaizers, who claimed that one had to become a Jew before he became a Christian (Mt 15). They exercised that authority in 393AD when at the Council of Hippo when bishops (successors of the apostles, see Acts 1:16-23) discerned and declared the canon of the New Testament. What had been committed to letters (epistles) had been orally taught. Not one letter that this in the New Testament was written before 51AD. How did people come to hear the Good News? Oral teaching and preaching, in other words what had been handed on by the Apostles, what is known as, Tradition. "God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you" (Rom 6:17). "Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings" (1 Tim 6:20). The apostles and their successors have been given a sacred trust, one of which they were fully aware. That is to faithfully pass on the teachings of Jesus whether orally or in written form.
Transubstantiation is the term that was developed to described what happens when the Holy Spirit through the priest transforms bread and wine into Jesus' Body and Blood. Transubstantiation is what Jesus proclaimed as an absolute necessity to have eternal life and be raised on the last day (Jn 6:35-58). At the Lord's Supper He changed bread into His Body and wine into His Blood giving His apostles the authority and command to do likewise in memory of Him (Lk 22:17-20). Paul teaches the reality and meaning of transubstantiation (1 Cor 10:16-17, 1Cor 11:23-29). Catholics worship the Eucharist because we believe what Jesus proclaimed and Paul teaches about transubstantiation. Protestant tradition does not.
As it is with transubstantiation, the term "Purgatory" is not in the Bible, but the reality is: "According to the commission of God given to me, like a skilled master builder I laid a foundation, and another man is building upon it. Let each man take care how he builds upon it. For no other foundation can any one lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ. Now if any one builds on the foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble- each man’s work will become manifest; for the Day will disclose it, because it will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test what sort of work each one has done. If the work which any man has built on the foundation survives, he will receive a reward. If any man’s work is burned up, he will suffer loss, though he himself will be saved, but only as through fire" (1 Cor 3:10-15). God gave man work to do: “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth and subdue it...till and keep the Garden" (Gen 1:28, 2:15). At the end his life. "God will render to every man according to his works: to those who by patience in well-doing seek for glory and honor and immortality, He will give eternal life; but for those who are factious and do not obey the truth, but obey wickedness, there will be wrath and fury. There will be tribulation and distress for every human being who does evil, the Jew first and also the Greek. (Rm 2:6-9). Purgatory is not a second chance. It is a great mercy because it purifies us as a furnace purifies gold and silver.
There are many, many examples of those who have been granted great privileges by God: Noah, Abraham, Moses, Joshua, the judges, the prophets, King David, Paul of Tarsus to name a few. Did any of these great actors in God's Plan of Salvation ride a donkey while nine months pregnant, give birth to the Messiah, hear the prophecy of Simeon, live through the horror of not knowing where their son was for three day, or witness Him get killed? The greatest actor in all of Salvation history (in all of history), second only to Jesus, is Mary of Nazareth. It was she and only she who was chosen to bring the Second Person of the Blessed Trinity into the world as a human person. Jesus never cease to be God, as the Mother of Jesus she is properly referred to as the Mother of God. She was overshadowed by the Holy Spirit for Jesus to be in her womb. Joseph was a righteous man knew well about the east gate proclaimed by Ezekiel (44:1-3) and would no have violated it. Jesus "brothers and sisters" were His cousins or close relatives.

Moses, Jeremiah, and John the Baptist were purified in the womb because of the great work in God's Plan each would be called to do. How difficult is it to conceive that Mary could be and was purified at the moment of her conception? They will tell others that no one can tell them that what they are doing is wrong, because that would be judging them. And since we are all sinners, then that means that no one can tell anyone that what they are doing is sinful.

Read it in context; Jesus goes on to use the illustration of specks and planks meaning don't be a hypocrite but we are told by scripture to expose unfruitful works of darkness and to warn the unruly. I am uncategorized. I just try to live the way Messiah lived. (Although fasting for 40 days in the desert is not my habit, nor in my plans... but I'm sure there are people who attempt such.) According to the gospels, we do not hear of Him celebrating birthdays or anniversaries, just observing the Sabbath (by the rules He established, not the added-on rules of the religious leaders), the appointed holy days, and weddings.

Um... what makes you think I'm not keeping those? Resting is easy. From sundown to sundown, no problem. Kindling a fire? I rarely kindle a fire during non-Sabbath days, so not kindling a fire on the Sabbath is not a problem. In fact, I have never kindled a fire Old Testament style. And fasting on Yom Kippur is my pleasure.
