Found one of these in an estate sale. $35 . I have used it with the 100x ( used for electronic flash ), setting and a handheld meter. Worked pretty good. Sunny 16 would be just fine, too.
Fantastic video! Thank you for sharing your experience with this camera. Aperture priority is also how I shoot on my film Canon EOS 300 SLR, it's cool to see that there's an slr camera designed around that way of shooting
I started with a K1000 and moved up to the MX, which was 100% manual. Shot with it for years and it never let me down. All the batteries did was power the light meter, so even dead you could take photos with just a bit of awareness of exposure (The Sunny 16 Rule is is a real thing). Left it behind when I went digital. A mistake.
I still have my K1000! Its never let me down. My father bought it years ago as our "family camera" and I still use it. The MX was such a wonderful surprise with how easy it is to use. I am really glad I picked it up. 🙂

Thank you so much, I am glad you enjoyed it! It is such a fun and easy to use camera, I feel like it doesn't get the fan fair it deserves. 🙂
