Nic, this is spot on! Brazilians love a good smoke eye for night and wear very soft make up in general. We have a really layed back approach to make up and in a day to day base Brazilians don't wear much make up. Usually just lipstick, maybe eyeliner and mascara. The only thing missing in your video is your nails. Even woman that doesn't wear any makeup will have nails done and eyebrows perfectly polished. Brazilians do wear central part a lot. I don't think it suits me and it really annoys me because I want it so bad. Never thought it was a cultural thing.

It is a city that “doesn’t sleep” and U can get coffee in the middle of the night, like 3/4 am! Hahaha People there use a lot more make up than in Rio because of the weather and the vibe of the city! I live at the very south of Brazil, almost Uruguay! I think where I live is very different from both cities but a little bit more like São Paulo “fashion standards” wise and I love love love them!

I’m Brazilian and from Rio de Janeiro and this look is so carioca (ie from Rio)! It’s the kind of look I would wear to go to a wedding. Very well-blended smoky eye, no heavy contouring, subtle colour on the lips and a healthy glow - very natural and chic, just the way we cariocas like it. I love it.
