These recent singles have been great in terms of melody and DnB beats but the lyrics are what make them amazing. This and Don't Care Crown both have a sort of character arc for the narrator, which you don't usually get in a four minute song.
the lyrics on these songs always just resonate with me. even if there are some i can't relate to, they still do an absolutely amazing job of conveying emotion and story. it's also incredibly fascinating how some songs (e.g. don't care crown and this) sound happy and upbeat yet there's a somber and somewhat hopeless meaning to the lyrics. i adore your songwriting stan, please never stop making music
