“Have a drink” before going into a performance, referencing holding a beer in a previous video. Is it time for an intervention!?!? Lol, I love your down to earth approach and the great tips you give! Please keep making these types of videos for your aspiring cellist fans :) God knows I need the extra help... ...and my neighbors, they definitely know I need the help!!! Lol
Haha yes I guess I have talked about drinking hahaha. But in truth I don’t drink at all. I’m literally allergic to alcohol. So glad you found the videos help. Thank you so much for watching!
Wendy Law If you ever find yourself in little Reno NV we should grab a coffee or tea (or whatever you arent allergic to drinking!) and chat about music theory :)
I love everything on this channel. Keep going like this, especially videos where you show the differences between cellos that you test : I enjoy those so much. A huge thank you from France (and sorry for my english, we are known for not speaking it very well)
Hello, thank you so much for these incredible videos! Could you possibly consider a video on tips for playing the highest octaves well? I’m currently working on Reminiscenza (performed by Cicely Parnas), and I’m having trouble producing a good sound for the higher passages.
Love your videos! Your ideas very clearly conveyed, thank you! They are really helpful! Could you also do a video on how you choose a bow? Like what do you look for when you buy a new bow? Thanks!
Thank you so much for your nice comment. I am not sure that I can give such good advice on both selection. I have only had two boys my entire life. But overall, I look for something that feels good in my hand and that produces a good sound. You just have to try a whole bunch of different bows and find the one you like.
I believe this is the cello transcription: ks4.imslp.net/files/imglnks/usimg/a/ab/IMSLP24933-PMLP56027-Sevcik_-_Changes_of_Position_and_Preparatory_Scale_Studies_Op8_cello.pdf

So happy to hear that
That’s cool! I’m interested to know if you know any of your colleagues have a similar routine/list of exercises? Or do they different ones?
Do you have a video about cello string tension please and the strings you like.
Qué aplicación usas para el lector de partituras? Gracias. Un saludo.

I won't leave that open long, so go ahead and download
Thank you!
Great tips! Please consider using a closer mic for less hiss!
Hey thanks for the tip. I actually use my zoom up close. What you hear at the beginning is my heater going off! 😆
@@WendyLaw He's right..there is a quite a bit of hiss.
Yes as I mentioned, it’s my heater at the beginning of the video.
I live for the moment when all devices will be silent and wireless.. 🤫🤓
