    Excellent explanation Dave, this is really helpful, I really appreciate it.
    I noticed one tiny thing - at about 3:23 you refer to the Energy Selector as the "Mode Selector". Just a slip of the tongue and I only noticed it because I was taking notes, learning from your excellent explanation.
    Many thanks for providing this tutorial. I shall look out for your other videos.

    Do you need water in your system to use the heating,as we have emptied the tank for winter.

    Thanks for sharing- we had Truma in our old van and it was a good system! Now I just need to figure out how to use the new van..... 😂 😂

    Great video thanks.
    The system isn’t intuitive when you wake up cold in the dark. In my Rapido the dials are stuck away in a corner behind the sink. Once working it’s very efficient but I have to refer to the cheat sheet every time I go to use it.

    Thanks for your video. I'd like to know sth : What are corresponding the dial numbers in temperature? For example 1 = 5°C ? I heard that the classical panel is a thermostat. Thanks

    very helpful thanks. after a year with my motorhome and reading the manual many times i still didn't realise the first gas symbol on the mode switch only dealt with room heating 😜

    I am a little confused. My motorhome only has the mode switch (the one on the right) so how do I know if the boiler is working on gas or electric.

    • @davidleslie7442

      This is the heater, not the boiler

    Why can't there be
    On and Off
    For water
    Or furnace
    If furnace is on a simple thermostat will do.
    Who cares what season it is.
    We need a simple kill or propane off switch for filling propane.

    I wish I had those not this blasted one I have. It’s no thermostat it doesn’t care that is ver cold it only cares about the blasted clock. I want heat as long as I am in it. I know how to turn it off. And another thing it make hot water no matter if you don’t want hot water. It way to cold to get a shower

    It’s taken me a while to figure out that Truma have used the Gas symbol to mean not gas but ‘Heat’ on the control mode panel. Exactly the same symbol on both panels - but means GAS on power panel and HEAT on control mode panel. Very very confusing and poor design. They should have used something like this 🔥 to mean heat and coloured it red.

  • @andrelamoureux6167

    I don't agree with his explanation of Mixed elec and gas

  • @argon3329
    @argon3329 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Clear as mud. Another expert that knows the knowledge first then just explains the dials.
    1) is the gas symbol for heaters or gas operation.
    2) can you have elec heating without gas? If so how ?? I can’t work it out because the nob on the left was for water only. Nob on right does water and heating but requires gas use!
    Argggggg!!!
    Also - on the combi if u turn dial to top two 60 and 40 that’s electric water heating - does the centre dial work the room heating?
    Ie - HOOK UP WATER HEATING AND ROOM HEATING???
    or not?
    Lol.
    See what I mean!!!??

    • @arriesone1
      @arriesone1 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Darren, we’ve been trying to work it out and we THINK the two gas symbols on the control panel with the dial don’t actually mean GAS - they stand for HEAT. Therefore the first symbol (that looks just like a gas flame) must mean heat on its own, and the lower one means heat plus water 60° and we think you can use them on either gas or electric, according to which power source you’ve selected on the other control panel. All very confusing and I’m not saying we’re correct but that seems to be the most likely explanation.

  • @kathyfann
