Thanks, very interesting. Different from Alde where there is no separate control for the boiler. You cannot get heating without heating the water in the boiler. Could you please show the controls for the second heater up front 🔥

    Thanks for the video.
Tell me, now (2010/2023) it's different right?
We have the thermostat with the temperature in degrees right?

Unless it is the one with the black dial and the lights.

That’s good for certain models that have this. But if I were to have this, I need to make sure to put little information/instructions about it. As back up.

Do you have to turn off the Truma system each time after using hot water (summer mode)? Or will it intelligently trickle little bits of gas to keep the water heat on standby?
Fantastic video. This helped me a lot to at least understand the basics of what it all means and does. :)

There is not a stand by as there is with a gas boiler and a pilot light. You have to leave it on to keep it on stand by - but it goes off once the temperature reaches 40C!

@@VanlifewithAlan Thank you so much. Yeah I noticed that. For some reason, I had 60 seconds of hot water during my first shower. I did wait for the orange light to turn off. Happened twice. Gave up and had a mildly cold quick shower. Had the power on 3. Heating on electricity. 40 degrees. More experimentation later. How long should I normally be able to shower warmly on average?

@@Ponyfox That is a mathematical question. If the boiler holds (for example) ten litres and is at 40C and the amient temperature is 20C then if you want a 30C shower then you will have twenty litres which if coming out at four litres a minute will give you five minutes! That is all theoretical of course - try not to use so much water in the shower unless you have access to it on a campsite or similar! I put the weakest pump I could find in my van just in case I am there with a person who is not as careful with water saving as I am! I would expect the boiler to heat up to maximum in no more than 20 minutes. I am sorry I cannot give you a concrete answer, but I do not know the specifications of your vehicle!
