    I was getting tired of my plain shrink wrap bombs. I made the change this year and bought a bolt of print cloth with ribbon to match. I wanted a more upscale look. As out products this year went more high end. I'm uaing expensive oils and butters in my products.
    I think for the holidays, I'll go with the wrapping paper idea, especially in my kids line. More like a present!
    Thanks for all the tips and tricks!

    The twisted paper is called "paper twist." It was used in the late 80's and 90's to wrap wreaths and make paper flowers

    Wow, so many ideas. Thanks so much Dora. Just a question about premature activation. Just wondering if you need to shrink wrap the bath bomb as well as the pretty wrappings. I imagine on rainy days they would start to activate if exposed to the air.

      one still has to wrap them in plastic to keep moisture out of them. areas with high humidity a BB would not stay nice long and if stored in a bathroom same goes

    • @CreativeBathLab
      @CreativeBathLab  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You're very welcome. You can definitely wrap them in plastic-free wrapping. Lush's bombs are always shipped to me in a paper bag & I'll leave them in their bags for a week or so & they're fine when I finally use them. Ram has a good point tho, try not to leave them unwrapped in a humid environment for very long!

    wow Dora, so many options, never thought about it. thank you for coming up with these amazing ideas.
    I have a quick question: I made bath bombs with embeds last night, following your instructions. I am so excited, because they seem to be okay. So my question is, when can I test one to see how they perform and if this is the recipe I would like to continue using? I am planning to wrap the, tonight (24hrs after making them), but would love to test one to check it out. What do you think? thanks a bunch!

      GREAT QUESTION!!!!!!!!!! Ok, so- sometimes I get impatient & try a bomb 24 hours after making & it never floats or seems to do good… but after at least 3 days, I can really see what it’s made of! It really is amazing how differently they perform after a bit of R&R!!!

    • @krishnas13
      @krishnas13 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I am also curious about how to waterproof the bathbombs with out the shrink wrap. As I noticed you have done all the wrapping over the shrink wrapped bath bomb. Is that to be the first layer always?

    • @CreativeBathLab
      @CreativeBathLab  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Great question! I wrapped them because I didn't realize I'd be using them for this (I didn't make these for this project, I made them just testing out ingredients) & it's a pain getting them unwrapped, just like @Alchemist Oasis said. So I simply left them like that. HOWEVER, you do NOT need to shrink wrap them beforehand! Granted, shrink wrap adds a bit more protection against humidity, but, ALL bath bombs' reactions diminish over time if left sitting un-used - NO MATTER what type of wrapping you use! So with that in mind, wrap them how you want! No need for shrink wrapping! ESP. if they'll be used within the first few weeks of making them!

    • @CreativeBathLab

Humidity somehow finds its way in, no matter what. So with that in mind, wrap them how you want! No need for shrink wrapping! ESP. if they'll be used within the first few weeks of making them! It gets a very nice consistency and foams when ı make it, but it doesn’t foam when ı throw it the next day. What do you think?

    • @CreativeBathLab
      @CreativeBathLab  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The only reason this could happen is if water was introduced during making them or right after they're made, causing premature chemical reactions to happen. Then, by the next day, there's just no reactions left. The ONLY way this is even possible is if you made them when the humidity is thru the roof (rainy days, or in a hot/humid room with no humidity/temperature control), OR you made them next to a steam source (water boiling, hot shower, etc.), OR if you're adding too much wet, OR adding the wet too quickly.
